I recently met this girl and she told me she takes pole dancing lessons and I was like-"HUH???-lol I wasn't sure how to react but I will just see if she is someone who is not a undercover freak

LOL, it's actually a really good full body workout. I do belly dancing and people always give me that "oh, how sexy" (((add a wink or two))) kind of look but I do it for the great workout and WORKOUT only

So, if she's doing it for the workout (did she say?)...I say go for it! Sometimes the treadmill and elliptical get boring and we need some fun variety! As long as it keeps you moving!

I don't think it's weird. It's supposed to work almost all the parts of your body.

I don't see anything wrong with it, it could be a great workout. And there's nothing wrong with a little freakiness lol

Any woman who has pole dancing lessons under her belt is considered fine by me.

What is wrong with being a little freaky? ;)

I bet every guy on this board wouldn't mind that.

How soon do you want to know?

I have no problem with it. I mean I would study some pole dancing videos and go down in my basement to practice (we don't have actual stripper poles in my house but they are poles none the less.)

I think it's better for a guy to find out on his own

I would rather know all of your freakiness a head of time so that I could prepare myself and to study up on your freakish ways

I think I understand what you are saying Sol. I think you are saying over time it is nice to learn, not right up front. I mean, you are a man who likes to keep very private things private until way later when the relationship has developed. Am I right?

Am I right?if you are right irene than i agree with solomon its always turned me off when women start telling people ther whole life's history 5 minutes after you meet them i mean honesty is one thing but practily spilling you guts to an almost stranger is something else enterly

Exactly. I mean, some things should remain private, especially in the first days of a relationship. As the relationship develops, and depending how far it goes is what matters. I can't imagine telling a man in the first week certain "intimate" things. Now, if a woman is into exercising, dance, going to the gym, etc. and she says, "I love taking care of myself. I exercise, I dance, I visit the gym, I also do pole dancing for toning and exercise..." then I can understand.

I see nothing wrong with it, for exercise. Chris Rock had a funny line. He said that his main goal in life was to keep his daughter off the pole.

As for what couples tell or don't tell each other in their relationship, that's personal and their business. There's no right or wrong. It's simply between them. My husband and I opened up immediately to each other, and it did us no harm.
