Alan Hale and Jim Backus were guest stars on The Night of the Sabatini Death episode. Jim Backus' voice was nothing like his McGoo/Thurston Howell personas. If I didn't see his face I wouldn't have picked his voice. He was quite an actor. Alan Hale was as jovial as ever. He always brings a kind of happiness to his performances. One thing that didn't sit too well was at the end of the episode when his character said he'll take a vacation on a deserted island with the Gilligan's Island theme in the background. It didn't seem appropriate to me.
