Waterston_Fan 05-27-2008, 03:45 PM When I first got the e-mail, I get excited and thought it's a release of the season 3...
Then I opened it then I was sad!! :(
I hope they answer the question and if anyone can listen to it... Don't know if I can but I will try.
Thanks for the heads up!!
catlover79 05-27-2008, 03:59 PM Let's hope they can help push along the DVD releases. This is too good a show to just stop at two seasons.

Yes I wholeheartedly agree with that. Give us seasons 3 thru 6 pronto and give us uncut episodes like the first two seasons were. Do DVD rights still belong to Universal, or have the rights been sold to another studio?

I have no idea, but I hope someone gets with it and releases the rest of the show!!
OH Nuts! 05-28-2008, 06:35 AM The series does seem to be gathering momentum, and is such wonderful nostalgia, that I hope more DVD sets will be on the horizon.
desilu #1 05-28-2008, 01:56 PM I do think that it's a good sign that they are having this interview and the fact that they are having it to actually talk about season 3, it's very encouraging.
Waterston_Fan 05-29-2008, 05:44 PM Okay guys, I sent an e-mail to the show host explaining that I wasn't able to list to the program.. but here is the e-mail.... FINGERS CROSSED!!
Currently there are no plans to release the next season, but we
suspect that Shout Factory will sublicense the show from Universal
(as they have with McHale's Navy and Adam 12) and will release it
during the coming year. You can hear rebroadcasts of the show daily
at 4 p.m. PDT through next Tuesday 6/3. Thanks!
Stuart
Lee G 05-29-2008, 05:59 PM It seems logical that Shout Factory would take over these DVD's from Universal. No complaints from me as long as they put all uncut episodes on the discs.

desilu #1 05-29-2008, 06:21 PM Well, whoever releases them in the future, I'm sure they will be uncut versions. I haven't heard of a DVD from any show not being uncut. They wouldn't sell many copies, at least I would never buy them if they were the same cut up versions that TV Land shows.

The first released set of 'The Danny Thomas Show'/'Make Room For Daddy' (season 5) were syndication prints (cut). Some other company took over for season 6 and that set was uncut.

Some episodes on the Gomer Pyle DVD's are cut versions. There are some cuts/edits on the I Dream Of Jeannie DVD's also. Those are just a few examples.
With this news regarding Leave It To Beaver, I wonder what this means for future DVD's from Universal? Has Universal suspended their DVD operations for old TV shows? I have the first four seasons of Emergency!, I hope the last two seasons get released, if not by Universal then from another studio.

See,I find this as unacceptable. If a consumer is going to pay $40-$45 for a season of a show, I feel that we are entitled to the full length version. But, in the case of LITB with the first two seasons being UNCUT, I don't see them releasing the other seasons CUT.

I agree 100%.

Yeah. But it seems that there are a few episodes where you see like in a scene with Ward/June, Ward is talking to her but you don't hear what is being said.. Why?
He probably is saying something relating to Beaver and stuff.
desilu #1 05-30-2008, 04:49 PM Yeah, I remember some of what you are talking about, but I think that it could be that part of the film could have been damaged being they are so old. But, there are definately extra scenes on those DVD's that you DON'T see on TV Land.
