Thanks Sonia! Sonia 05-11-2008, 11:19 AM Hey Brian, could you add 20th Century Fox in the "target area" besides Fox. They're the ones that own the show! BRING BACK TO YOU BACK!!!!!! Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 12:15 PM Hey Brian, could you add 20th Century Fox in the "target area" besides Fox. They're the ones that own the show! OK, will do :) JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 12:32 PM Finally, a petition. There's 29 signatures so far I believe. Did you create it Brian? If so, getting 29 petitions in not even a day is pretty good. Let's just hope we can get tons more by next week. I'll add it to my signature as well. I've already sent about 20 emails to my family and friends asking them to sign it, so I hope this really works! Sonia 05-11-2008, 12:39 PM Gold Derby Forums (previously The Envelope) is a website of the LA Times and is run by Tom O'Neil a renowned entertainment reporter. The site is supposidly read by all publicists and stars according to O'Neil. Anyways, lately there's been a lot of Patty hate there (we know why don't we) and now B2Y hate. So, I think it's time to show some love for the show and its cast. Here's the link http://goldderbyforums.latimes.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/1106078764/m/460105371 JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 12:41 PM Gold Derby Forums (previously The Envelope) is a website of the LA Times and is run by Tom O'Neil a renowned entertainment reporter. Sonia 05-11-2008, 12:47 PM I'm definitely there . . . thanks for the link! Great, if you have trouble accessing it just google The Envelope , then go to Forums and click on Primetime Emmys. Scroll down and you'll see the thread: Back to you cancelled, Til' Death renewed!!!! Scroll down and you'll see the thread: Back to you cancelled, Til' Death renewed!!!! I just registered there. I'm about to put in my reply. Anything helps at this point! Sonia 05-11-2008, 01:00 PM I just registered there. I'm about to put in my reply. Anything helps at this point! Thanks for posting the petition link there. I didn't think of that. JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 01:01 PM Thanks for posting the petition link there. I didn't think of that. Yeah - I put it as part of my signature there. I hope it helps. I'm trying to think of other sites I can post the petition link at without getting into trouble . . . I tried doing something like that before, and I got in trouble for posting spam-LOL JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 01:10 PM We just got 4 more signatures in the past 5 minutes . . . let's hope we can keep this up! :D samanddiane4eva 05-11-2008, 02:12 PM Signed it! ryan423 05-11-2008, 06:38 PM Brian, I hope you can sticky this post. I think we need a brainstorming session! Here's my idea; - We each send a map into FOX of Pittsburgh and highlight the Monongahela river (in the idea that Montana could never pronounce it). With this, someone here with HTML experience can start a site to save the show which includes info on the Monongahela river and links to where to buy the maps online! Sonia 05-11-2008, 07:02 PM We can send unsharpend pencils!!! or, they used to have a "Anchorize Yourself" page. Everyone can paste their own pictures there, print it out and send it to FOX and 20th Century Fox or CBS because Les Moonves has been sent 5 episodes for review Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 08:45 PM You guys make me soooooooooo proud! Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 08:51 PM Unsharpened pencils might be cheaper for those who can't afford a map...what do you guys think? By the way, I LOVE both ideas. LOL TJL 05-11-2008, 08:57 PM bottled water? ;) Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 09:05 PM Whatever we do, we need to send it here......................... CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler 7800 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA, 90036 JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:19 PM You make us proud, Brian ;) Currently, we have 100 signatures. I totally think this is great, considering that it was the weekend and today was Mother's Day. If we can get over 200 by tomorrow, that will be even better. I'll continue to get people to sign, but for the most part, people are finding that petition on their own, which is great. We should definitely now send it to FOX and CBS. Both networks are now involved with this show, so it would only be right to send it to both. How many signatures are you looking to get total, Brian? catlover79 05-11-2008, 09:29 PM OK, I signed. BTY has so much potential - and it didn't even get a chance before the strike stopped its momentum. We need to keep it on the air!!! Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 09:29 PM We can donate to the people who maintain Monongahela River? http://usasearch.gov/search?input-form=simple-firstgov&v%3Aproject=firstgov&query=The+lower+Monongahela+river&sitelimit=www.hq.usace.army.mil&x=44&y=16 JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:31 PM bottled water? ;) I absolutely love this idea. Think - they had to make budget cuts in the newsroom by getting rid of water. Now FOX is making budget costs by getting rid of Back to You! All we have do is send packages of bottle watter to FOX, and we have ourselves a great ad campaign! I think pencil idea could work as well, but the bottled water theory is great because it has to do with an actual episode of the show. What do you guys think? JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:33 PM OK, I signed. BTY has so much potential - and it didn't even get a chance before the strike stopped its momentum. We need to keep it on the air!!! I really have high hopes for what we're doing - I think somehow, we can get this show back next season! I"m not even sure if this is considered "legal" on the internet, but I posted the link for the petition at the BTY page at Wikipedia. I think that'll definitely help somewhat. I also posted the link at the TV Land boards, and the link has already been posted at the FOX message boards. Thank you for all your help Julie! :) Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 09:37 PM I absolutely love this idea. Think - they had to make budget cuts in the newsroom by getting rid of water. I think pencil idea could work as well, but the bottled water theory is great because it has to do with an actual episode of the show. What do you guys think? I'm all for it...I say we DO IT! JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:38 PM Thank you for all your help Julie! :) Thankyou for continuing to support this show even after it's been cancelled. I'm just really trying to get this show what it deserves. Plus, it's kind of relaxing - doing all this takes my mind off the fact that this show may not be returning next season. I just hope what we're doing pays off somehow. JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:40 PM I'm all for it...I say we DO IT! We definitely should . . . it would be ten times better than sending nuts (still don't understand that one-LOL). We really gotta start a campaign around this or something, maybe even on these boards for a start. We have to get the word out and post the mailing address to FOX. I'll go out and buy my 20 packs of bottled water tomorrow morning :D Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 09:45 PM We definitely should . . . it would be ten times better than sending nuts (still don't understand that one-LOL). We really gotta start a campaign around this or something, maybe even on these boards for a start. We have to get the word out and post the mailing address to FOX. I'll go out and buy my 20 packs of bottled water tomorrow morning :D We need to send it to CBS at the address I listed up above...along with the online petition. We also need to spread the word to the trades like Variety, Hollywood reporter, TV Guide, etc... JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:47 PM We need to send it to CBS at the address I listed up above...along with the online petition. We also need to spread the word to the trades like Variety, Hollywood reporter, TV Guide, etc... Well, should we send it to FOX or CBS? I don't have the money to be sending bottled water to both-LOL. FOX seems dead on the idea of renewing it, so CBS would probably be our best bet. I will try to spread the word on this idea as much I can, but I'm sure you'd have better luck doing it to all the major online trades. So is this a done deal or what???? TJL 05-11-2008, 09:53 PM Actually, I was just offering you guys a bottled water i just got from the fridge, but if you want to use it for the Save BTY Campaign, then go for it. ;) catlover79 05-11-2008, 09:54 PM I really have high hopes for what we're doing - I think somehow, we can get this show back next season! Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 09:56 PM Actually, I was just offering you guys a bottled water i just got from the fridge, but if you want to use it for the Save BTY Campaign, then go for it. ;) Can you remember exactly what the bottled water symbolized in the episode? I need to write a brief synopsis. Unless you want to do it? ;) :p JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 09:58 PM Hey, did my signature show up on the petition? I was having trouble with it. Yeah, it showed up, as did 8 others in the past 10 minutes. That is pretty damn good . . . that give us a total of 109 signatures, and the day isn't over. Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 09:59 PM Hey, did my signature show up on the petition? I was having trouble with it. Better yet Monika, go over to this thread...we have a MUCH better idea! :D http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=224979 catlover79 05-11-2008, 10:00 PM Yeah, it showed up, as did 8 others in the past 10 minutes. That is pretty damn good . . . that give us a total of 109 signatures, and the day isn't over. Thanks for letting me know. Woo hoo!! Let's keep it up, people!! catlover79 05-11-2008, 10:01 PM Better yet Monika, go over to this thread...we have a MUCH better idea! :D http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=224979 I read that...do we send just one bottle, or a whole pack?? JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:01 PM This is great, it really is. Brian, are you working on this? (Not to sound pushy or anything :D ) I feel bad . . . I have to go and help my daughter with a project that's due tomorrow. If I can get back on here tonight, I'll definitely try! TJL 05-11-2008, 10:03 PM Can you remember exactly what the bottled water symbolized in the episode? I need to write a brief synopsis. Unless you want to do it? ;) :p As part of the new station manager's cost cutting initiative, she eliminated some things, parking spaces, vacations, and free bottled water in the fridge. samanddiane4eva 05-11-2008, 10:03 PM I just posted the link to the petition on the Back To You facebook groups and the fan page. Plus, I posted the link on the Back To You thread on Fanforum and the BTY LJ comm. JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:04 PM I read that...do we send just one bottle, or a whole pack?? Considering the fact that we want to make an impact, I'm sending at least 5 packs of bottled water. I think a pack (doesn't have to be in bulk or anything-LOL) would do better than just 1 bottle, but whatever you can send is great. We'll have to see what happens tomorrow I think. Let's just hope we can rally up as many people as we can to send the water. We should really make like our own little site for this. JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:04 PM I just posted the link on the Back To You facebook groups and the fan page. Plus, I posted the link on the Back To You thread on Fanforum. Thankyou so much! I am feeling so great right now it's incredible. Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 10:07 PM I read that...do we send just one bottle, or a whole pack?? Whatever you can afford, you don't need to give them stock in Poland Springs or anything. ;) JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:08 PM As part of the new station manager's cost cutting initiative, she eliminated some things, parking spaces, vacations, and free bottled water in the fridge. similar to what FOX is doing: they're making budget costs by eliminating Back to You. :) Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 10:09 PM As part of the new station manager's cost cutting initiative, she eliminated some things, parking spaces, vacations, and free bottled water in the fridge. Thanks Tom! JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:09 PM Whatever you can afford, you don't need to give them stock in Poland Springs or anything. ;) although that isn't a bad idea-LOL. I think 1 small pack of bottled water will work, or even just a couple bottles. But, like Brian said, whatever works for you. Let's just hope us 3 won't be the only ones to do it. Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 10:13 PM although that isn't a bad idea-LOL. I think 1 small pack of bottled water will work, or even just a couple bottles. But, like Brian said, whatever works for you. TJL 05-11-2008, 10:24 PM If FOX gets pissed because they get tons of bottled water clogging up thier mailrooms, the idea did not come from me... ;) Brian Damage 05-11-2008, 10:26 PM If FOX gets pissed because they get tons of bottled water clogging up thier mailrooms, the idea did not come from me... ;) Heck, we'll be saving them some dough anyway. lol ;) JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:51 PM Heck, we'll be saving them some dough anyway. lol ;) Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll be in the middle of a water drought. What's the latest on "Mission Bottled-Watter"?-LOL JulieSomoski 05-11-2008, 10:54 PM Like I said, we need to get the word out to other sites like blogs, forums, the trade sites, etc... We should get Pavan to post it on the blog tomorrow. That would definitely help a bit. I'll try to head on over to other forums and post our idea. I already posted at FOX, I'll try to post elsewhere. ryan423 05-11-2008, 11:23 PM Can someone post the links to allt hese BTY communities (LJ, Facebook, etc)? I've never seen one of them and am dying to:) samanddiane4eva 05-11-2008, 11:35 PM Can someone post the links to all these BTY communities (LJ, Facebook, etc)? It was posted April 22nd but that doesn't mean for sure taping has been cancelled since then! Family Ties Forever! 05-12-2008, 02:40 AM I signed it yesterday. :) Iluvtv4 05-12-2008, 01:05 PM Come on people rally the troops here if we are going to save our beloved show. If there are over 1,000 views we should be able to get some of these people to sign the petition..I would hope. We must prevail. We must be victorious against these idiots at FOX. Brian Damage 05-12-2008, 02:42 PM Is EVERYBODY ON BOARD? Can we send this link anywhere? Sonia 05-12-2008, 03:29 PM So are we writing anything to go alongside the bottled water or should we just write "Bring BTY Back" with a marker on the bottle or pack whatever people are sending. Another thing, do you think we might have trouble getting to post the bottled water..just thought right now that thay may us go through so much trouble in airports and all...or it won't matter...? JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 03:33 PM We're up to 245, which is decent. Let's hope we can get over 300 by the end of the day. How many signatures are you hoping to get, Brian? JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 03:39 PM So are we writing anything to go alongside the bottled water or should we just write "Bring BTY Back" with a marker on the bottle or pack whatever people are sending. Another thing, do you think we might have trouble getting to post the bottled water..just thought right now that thay may us go through so much trouble in airports and all...or it won't matter...? I'm actually writing on the box "Save Back to You," then maybe a little note inside that let's them know what we're doing. I don't think everyone has to do that, though. HOw exactly do we send the bottled water? I'll just start collecting a few boxes, and put 1 package in each one and send it in the mail. That should be enough I think. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 03:41 PM Here's a thought: maybe we should start a site to go along with our campaign. It doesn't have to be a complete website or anything, maybe just a little Freeweb or Facebook page. Has anybody sent this link over to other sites? I think I posted on the TV Land boards (not sure how much that'll do), and the FOX message boards. I'm trying to think of what other bigger sites we can post to. Brian Damage 05-12-2008, 03:43 PM Here's a thought: maybe we should start a site to go along with our campaign. I don't think everyone has to do that, though. HOw exactly do we send the bottled water? I'll just start collecting a few boxes, and put 1 package in each one and send it in the mail. That should be enough I think. Let's hope people will be persuaded to participate...those damn bottles may be a bit heavy so more $$$ will be needed for shipping! JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 03:52 PM That's a good idea, do you know how to create a page like that? Yeah, I can easily create a Freeweb page in 10 minutes. I think that'll be a good way to have a central meeting place for the campaign. Has anyone else sent out bottled water yet? I bought 2 packs so far, and plan on sending them out in an hour or so. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 03:54 PM Let's hope people will be persuaded to participate...those damn bottles may be a bit heavy so more $$$ will be needed for shipping! Never thought of that. I guess creating a campaign to save a TV show doesn't come cheap these days-LOL. I'll pay whatever I have to, though. I hope others do the same. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 03:56 PM 1,000 would be nice :) I think it's very possibly! WHen do you plan on sending the petition? Isn't CBS's upfront this Wednesday??? That really doesn't leave us much time. Sonia 05-12-2008, 04:38 PM Never thought of that. I guess creating a campaign to save a TV show doesn't come cheap these days-LOL. I'll pay whatever I have to, though. I hope others do the same. Me too, but the goal is to persuade as many people as we can and maybe those pencils can be a cheaper and more viable option...if we're still in time to make changes though.. AB 05-12-2008, 04:38 PM I just signed the petition too! Ireneparalegal 05-12-2008, 04:42 PM I posted this on another thread but let me copy it here as well: One big reason why you should vote for BTY's renewal even if you are NOT a fan of the show. Simple. It will show that many people want to see sitcoms come back. We have too many reality shows, too many shows that are not sitcoms, too much crap floating around on television. I miss sitcoms. Things went downhill when shows like KING OF QUEENS, ROSEANNE, GEORGE LOPEZ, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, etc. left the airways and reality programming became mainstream. We need to make our voices heard and tell these networks what it is we want to see. Ireneparalegal 05-12-2008, 04:43 PM Add me to this campaign too. Let me also copy/paste the following that I posted on two other threads: One big reason why you should vote for BTY's renewal even if you are NOT a fan of the show. Simple. Below is a photo of an unscheduled upfront week event: early this morning, because the sitcom Back to You had been cancelled, upset fans made a "memorial" in front of the gates at Fox studios. There were candles, balloons, floral bouquets, over 30 sympathy cards, neckties in honor of Chuck, and American flags. I'm told that Fox brass, fearful of being embarrassed, had security remove the "memorial." But everyone connected to the show, especially showrunner Steve Levitan, knew about it and appreciated it. PIC http://www.deadlinehollywooddaily.com/back-to-you-memorial-briefly-outside-fox/ JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 05:45 PM Thanks for your support Irene! Will you be sending water??? I just went to the PO to ship out my water. Shipping was actually not that bad - just try to get lighter water-LOL. Not sure exactly what it was, I think it was a little over $5 altogether, which is actually great. I think the water idea has a little more strength to it, just because it was connected to an actual episode of the show. That may let CBS look into it a little more. Pencils is not bad - if you want to encourage people to send pencils as well, it's not a bad idea. This thing definitely seems to be getting off it's feet, though. I'm trying to get contact of more major sites, TV Guide in particular at the moment. The site will be coming shortly, I promise!!! Sonia 05-12-2008, 05:54 PM Thanks for your support Irene! Consistency is always good-LOL When I was at the post office, the guy who was weighing my package asked me why I was sending water to CBS. I told him what we were doing, and he was like "Oh, Back to You, that's a great show." That put a smile on my face :D JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 06:22 PM I posted this on another thread but let me copy it here as well: One big reason why you should vote for BTY's renewal even if you are NOT a fan of the show. That's a great article, Irene, and very true. This sitcom definitely takes me back to classic sitcoms of they day. Sure, CBS has sitcoms similar to it, but this sitcom is different - it just reminds me of sitting down 20 years to watch TV everytime I watch it. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 06:31 PM Over the FOX Back to You message board, they've been deleting messages left and right. They deleted my entire thread about our campaign (it had about 9 posts at the time it was deleted) and have been deleting other posts about it here and there. So, my guess is they definitely know about what we're doing. As for the petition, we're just about at 300 signatures. We are well on our way to 1000 :) Mr. Television 05-12-2008, 06:39 PM Given time this show might be as good as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Murphy Brown. It was already starting to gell. Who knows how great it could be if given the chance. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 06:45 PM Given time this show might be as good as The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Murphy Brown. It was already starting to gell. Who knows how great it could be if given the chance. Those shows were huge hits right from the start, though-LOL. Not a problem, BTY has the full potential to run 5 or 6 seasons right now, if not more. Too bad no one seems to want to give the show that chance. Mr. Television 05-12-2008, 06:50 PM better network though....CBS. :D If they had started on Fox and were constantly moved and preempted I wonder how long they would have last? Janice 05-12-2008, 07:20 PM Love the bottled water idea. I'll be sending a 4-pack. Sorry, that's the best I could talk my husband into doing, lol. Thanks TJL for such a terrific idea. :) JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 07:31 PM Love the bottled water idea. I'll be sending a 4-pack. Sorry, that's the best I could talk my husband into doing, lol. Thanks TJL for such a terrific idea. :) That's good enough! Thanks for the support, Janice. I've already contacted TV Guide, Variety, and Hollywood Reporter with this idea, hoping for some more advertisement. I posted about it on nearly every single online forum possibly. I'm getting someone to post the idea on Wikipedia as we speak. Do you have any more suggestions for me? I wonder if we could get Pavan to post about this on the blog tomorrow??? JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 07:40 PM And here is the official Back to You Campaign Website: http://www.freewebs.com/savebacktoyou/index.htm I'll try to get more updates up tomorrow if I can. My next plan is to create a page where those who already sent water can sign there name - to see who's actually going along with us. Still hoping for more promotion, though. BensonFan 05-12-2008, 07:40 PM Add me to this campaign too. Let me also copy/paste the following that I posted on two other threads: One big reason why you should vote for BTY's renewal even if you are NOT a fan of the show. Simple. We need to make our voices heard and tell these networks what it is we want to see. I agree completely. Enough crap already! And you know what's bad about this too? The fact that people (and I've heard a few say this) are afraid to get into new shows like BTY for fear they will be cancelled and they'll be really upset. Sad, isn't it? And without more viewership, that's what ultimately happens. It's a vicious circle. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 07:42 PM We're up to 325 signatures! Maybe we can even get to 400 by the end of today - that would be phenomenal. ryan423 05-12-2008, 07:43 PM And here is the official Back to You Campaign Website: http://www.freewebs.com/savebacktoyou/index.htm I'll try to get more updates up tomorrow if I can. And thanks Brian for already replying at the guestbook! :D This is just a simple site, not meant to be bi gor anything. Just like a campaign headquarters if you will. Also, I have just gotten a new idea. If you cannot afford to send full water bottles, please send empty water bottles! I have just gotten word at the FOX message boards that a group of people sent more than 50 empty water bottles to CBS, which is fantastic. I hadn't thought of that before. JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 07:54 PM Excellent Effort Julie! Thank you so much! It may sound pathetic to some but it certainly is exciting, especially when we see people joining our efforts!!!! Brian Damage 05-12-2008, 08:01 PM Wow, I can't believe this idea really took off! Thank you to everyone for all their hard work and more importantly, their PASSION for this great sitcom. Brian, what sections or things would you like me to or think I should add? JulieSomoski 05-12-2008, 08:59 PM Everyone, I'm working on a myspace for the cause. Brian, what sections or things would you like me to or think I should add? Definitely talk about our campaign, the petition, and CBS. You should also advertise the website (I'm calling it the official "Save Back to You" site-LOL) and maybe some of the articles about the show (CBS viewing the episodes, the memorial, etc.) Besides that, whatever else you can think of. Janice 05-12-2008, 09:03 PM Perhaps a mention in Marc Berman's site would be nice? He's a guy in the know. WOW . . . we just got 50 more signatures in what, 45 minutes? We'll be way past 400 by tonight. 1000 should be no problem at all. When do you plan to send it? I would send it to CBS before making a decision whether to pick it up or not, but you should still give it time to find more signatures. I think sending it by Wednesday (CBS upfront) might be pushing it . . . I already got 45 views on the Freewebs page. That's pretty good considering it's only been up about an hour. Janice 05-12-2008, 09:07 PM I've been spiking, oops, I mean signing the petition left and right. Getting everyone I know to do so. I'm getting jazzed. Perhaps we can write something and they can just copy it, kind of a unified campaign massage. What do you think? That's a good idea - I just wrote it up on the site. I just wrote they should send a message or email. If you can come up with a campaign slogan, I'd love to hear it :D I also need a mailing address for FOX, specifically for President of FOX Entertainment Kevin Reilly. I just can't find one on the web. Sonia 05-13-2008, 04:11 PM I found this on one of the other forums and thought it was very well written. This may be our message for the CBS campaign. I'm sure the fans that wrote it would not mind us adopting it. "Please bring 'Back to You' to CBS where it should have been all along. The lack of funny television is dehydrating television viewers. Our brains are drying up. Let CBS be the Oasis in the desert of thoughtless television" I also added a touch of my own:"Patricia and Kelsey are the DREAM TICKET" JulieSomoski 05-13-2008, 04:16 PM I found this on one of the other forums and thought it was very well written. I'm still trying to find an address for FOX. Should it for FOX in general, or especially for the Kevin Reilly? After reading Levitan's interview I'm sure that BTY cancelation is Reilly's doing. Let's address everything to him just to express our indignation because I doubt FOX will bring the show back at this point. I'm looking for his address too. It'll show that we're better than email-LOL. I'd also just email it to FOX (there's an email address at their site). If you want to email it to CBS at their feedback section on their site. I have LOTS to say on this topic!! A couple of years ago when CBS was threatening to cancel The King of Queens without giving it a chance to have a series finale, I started a petition. I called CBS and asked who to send it to. They said a guy named Ray Faiola handles petitions. He's like, head of programming or something like that... So, I printed out the petition, mailed it to him, and KoQ was renewed!! I'm not saying it was ONLY because of the petition, but it couldn't have hurt. :) The cast and crew ended up knowing about it, (some of them even signed the petition!) and when I went to a taping the next season, I met a lot of people who worked on the show. I was with a friend, and we were once introduced as "the people who saved our show!" I don't know if I believe that, but it was cool. I know someone who worked on KoQ, that now works on BTY, so I let her know about this! ;) My point is, AMAZING things can happen, so lets keep campaigning!! First and foremost, send the petition to Ray!! Maybe he can help get our show back on the air!! Send it to Nina and whoever else you'd like, too! I just called CBS to make sure Ray still worked there and to confirm the address - we are good to go! JulieSomoski 05-14-2008, 05:44 PM Well, CBS has passed on BTY :( Are you certain? Just because the show isn't on the CBS fall lineup doesn't mean they're not still considering it. We could still get a pickup somewhere on the schedule, maybe for midseason. And even if they did decide to pass, we should continue anyway to show our support for the show, and maybe to change CBS's mind. Sonia 05-14-2008, 06:01 PM Are you certain? And even if they did decide to pass, we should continue anyway to show our support for the show, and maybe to change CBS's mind. I wasn't expecting to see BTY on the fall schedule anyway. This was such short notice that the poducers need to talk extensively with CBS. That may take some time. I just hope Brian assumed it and didn't read it somewhere though :( ryan423 05-14-2008, 06:06 PM It has to be assumed. I read somewhere that it could be announced after the upfronts and could still make the fall or mid-season schedule! Dont give up anyone. :) Exactly. I wasn't expecting the show to make full, either. At the most we might get it on late fall or midseason, if CBS does decide to pick it up. I honestly think they haven't made a decision yet because they want to see how ratings are for the final FOX episode tonight, just another reason why EVERYBODY should be watching tonight. If ratings are bad, and CBS decides against it tomorrow, we'll know why. But if ratings are great, you'll never know what'll happen. Sonia 05-14-2008, 06:15 PM Exactly. I swear, I've never been this busy before in my life-LOL. I've been on the computer nonstop since Sunday. Do you by any chance have CBS's email handy? Thanks! Mr. Television 05-14-2008, 06:29 PM Yea I really didn't think it would make the fall schedule either. Fox cancelled it at the last minute so the producers had no time to go to other networks. CBS already had a lot of their fall shows set. But it doesn't mean it couldn't come off the bench. Until the actor's contracts expire, their is always hope. They are now 3 unaired and 7 unshot. The Unaired Episodes Are - Date Night - (Would have been shown in between Business or Pleasure and Wall of Fame) Production Code: 1ANX08 After Chuck accuses Kelly of dating a rival anchor because he's a younger version of himself, Kelly gets even by redirecting a dinner invitation Chuck intended for a specific co-worker. When both couples end up dining at the same restaurant, the evening turns into a showdown. Ryan also has the dating bug and enlists the help of Marsh and Gary to set up his web cam. Guest star: Amy Farrington (Margaret), Coby Ryan McLaughlin (Craig St. Claire), Jennifer Lothrop (Donna), Kenneth Mark Bahn (Scott), Jayma Mays (Shelley) House of Tomorrow (Would've been on next week possibly) Production Code: 1ANX11 Kelly can't decide whether or not she likes the new Chuck who has become the owner of a technologically-advanced house. Meanwhile, Gary undergoes a procedure in his bid for the chief weatherman position.
