Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon aren't just dreamlovers anymore.

Family member Linda Cannon has confirmed to E! News that the couple are, in fact, married.

"Yes, we know," she tells E! "He called us and told us all about it. We are happy for him. If that is what he wants then we are happy for him."

Linda Cannon wouldn't confirm an earlier report that had the impromptu nuptials taking place yesterday at Carey's new home in the Bahamas, only that Nick and his platinum-selling girlfriend have made it official.

I’m not going to give you any details, but we are happy for him."

Earlier today, a rep for jeweler Jacob & Co. confirmed that Cannon shelled out $2.5 million for the 17-carat finger candy spotted recently on Carey's left hand.

This is the second trip down the aisle for Carey, 39. She split from recording industry honcho Tommy Mottola in 1998 after five years of marriage.

Cannon, 27, was previously engaged to model Selita Ebanks, but this is his first time taking the plunge.

Same here. My boyfriend was watching it and I was just rolling my eyes thinking it was just another dumb movie. Lo and behold I hear this great music coming from the living room and it was the roller skating contest scene that had just started. :dance: :banana:

A few bios have her birthday as March 27, 1969, but some others have her B day March 27, 1970.

She probably is 39 but may lie abt her age to keep her image "young." Shame. I am 43 and proud of my age.

Anyway, now that this has officially been confirmed, I have to say I think she's a bit nuts for doing it. :lol: But oh well, I still hope it works out for her in the end.

I am merely surprised because she seemed so worried abt marrying again. After what she went through with Tommy, she seemed she was going to make damn sure she didn't make a bad decision again. I don't know how true it is, but it is said she and Nick only knew each other a few months. 1] The perfume has been out since last summer. The "new" perfume is simply a different version of M. There isn't going to be a huge re-launch or even a publicity campaign for it.

2] The album came out a week before her weeding. It sold considerably well without the help of any gossip press.

Nick Cannon's character in Roll Bounce wasn't the one battling Little Bow Wow. That was another guy. I can't think of his name but he was in Crossover movie with Anthony Mackie and Wayne Brady. Nick's character in Roll Bounce worked at the skating rink. Nick also played in Love Don't Cost A Thing with Christina Milian and Steve Harvey. He used to date Christina and they broke up because she said he cheated on her with other women. What a fool because Christina is hot to me. I can't believe Nick and Mariah got married too. I don't think the marriage is gonna last long because of the age difference but he's a lucky dude because he gets to have sex with her hahahahahahahahahahahaha. She's a hot woman.
