I don't have any allergies unless you count stuff like poison ivy or poison oak, I'm not aware of anyone who isn't effected by them

I feel so lucky, allergies are one of the things I've never had to deal with. I don't think I'm allergic to anything that I know of.

Only all of my life. It's the time of year when pollen is all over the place and it ****s up my nose.

Not me, but my adult stepson has the worst allergies I've ever seen. His eyes get red, puffy, watery, his nose runs like crazy. Me, I've got a strange deal going on. In July of 2000, I woke up in the middle of the night, very itchy, that I actually thought ants invaded my bed, lol.

I went to the doctor, then a dermatolgist who told me that I have chronic uticaria, which is a fancy term for hives. I take an allergy pill every morning, Zyrtec. We have no idea what causes it, or if it's just a natural thing. Every couple of months, I test it and don't take the Zyrtec, and I'm covered with hives by noon.

Wow, that's weird. I never knew something like that could happen, at least there's medication that can make it better.

Man, I have them bad. Whats worse is it's not only this time of the year, but all year round. I'm allergic to dust, which is a pretty common thing to be around.

Mine are okay right now. My sinuses suck, but then they always do.

As far as Zyrtec, holy crap...that stuff knocked me out for a day and a half. I think it worked, but I couldn't tell for sure because I couldn't stay awake.

I have horrible seasonal allergies. The worst is when my eyes suddenly start to itch, water, and burn - while I'm driving!! Then I have to pull over until it passes.

You probably know that Zyrtec just went from prescription only to over-the-counter. The commercials say, "Great news, Zyrtec is now available without a prescription." I think, great news for who? My insurance used to pay for it, now I have to shell out $25 a month for it, because insurance doesn't pay for over-the-counter drugs. Oh well.

Wow, that really sucks. :( Makes it easier for those who don't have a prescription for it, but harder for those who actually were prescribed to it by their doctor. Not really fair if you ask me.

It's happened before with one of my husband's meds, for acid reflux, the purple pill or whatver it was, lol.

I know! That was such a piss off. I've had allergies most of my life, and also take Zyrtec daily.

Piss off, I love it.

The thing with Zyrtec, it's the only one that works for me. Otherwise, I'd have my doctor prescribe another kind. In fact, Zyrtec ended up on Blue Cross/Blue Shield's not-covered list, and my doctor had to write one of those special exception letters for me to get it. THEN, it goes OTC. Yes, a giant piss off!

Zyrtec is the worst of the second generation antihistamines with regards to sedation (actually thats not quite true, Xyzal or levocetirizine, which is the active metabolite of Zyrtec and is now marketed as a separate Rx-only drug now that Zyrtec is OTC is since it is slightly more potent then cetirizine itself), but still, its' not supposed to knock you out. Have you tried Claritin?

I've had allergy and sinus problems all my life. I quit taking that drugstore stuff and went to the health food store for more natural remedies plus I use a humidifier at night.

I used to take Claritin but then that went OTC, so they switched me to Zyrtec, and now the same thing happened. Oh well, it works well enough for me to stick with it. Besides, if I switched to something new, the same thing would probably happen again!

I have bad allergies from mid spring until mid fall. I've dealt with them ever since I can remember.
