MyNetworkTV has ordered 13 episodes of this new sitcom, and it is the very first sitcom to run on the nascent network. It is scheduled for 8 pm EST / 7 pm CT on Wednesdays, and it makes its debut this Wednesday April 16th. MyNetworkTV has scheduled "The Best of In Living Color", a highlights version of the original FOX series (cast interviews, bloopers), to follow at 8:30 pm.

According to MyNetworkTV, the premise of the show is as follows:

Flavor Flav plays Calvster Hill, an ex-convict that moves in with his wealthy, conservative brother, Walter (Kelly Perine). Calvster subsequently turns the Hill family’s life upside down, parading his old prison cronies through the house; teaching his nephew Walter Jr. to be a gangsta rapper; and butting heads with Walter’s snooty wife, Ashley.

The promos running in high rotation on MyNetworkTV over the past few weeks feature a clip from the opening credits of the show, with a theme song, that explains the premise quite humourously. MyNetworkTV is going like gangbusters promoting this show, using alternative media to promote the show (billboard campaigns, radio...according to the Chicago Sun-Times, in Chicago, one radio station WGCI, has sold it's ENTIRE seven hour block of ads tomorrow from noon to 7 pm for endless repetitions of commercials for "Under One Roof").

In the first episode, which I understand is the pilot of the series, Calvester is forced to re-think his view on life when a former cellmate visits.

According to IMDB, "Under One Roof" has the following regular cast members signed on for the first 13 episodes:

Carrie Genzel ... Ashley Hill (13 episodes)
Jesse Reid ... Winston Jr (13 episodes)
Emily Kuroda ... Su Ho (13 episodes)
Flavor Flav ... Calvester Hill (13 episodes)
Marie Michel ... Heather Hill (13 episodes)
Kelly Perine ... Walter Hill (13 episodes)

Notable guest stars on upcoming episodes include Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Terrell Owens, Kadeem Hardison from "A Different World" and rapper Twista.
