Why did he ever get married to either one of those bitches? I don't know about Judith, because they got married years before the show started. But as soon as I saw him with Kandi, I saw how wrong they were for each other. That girl Mia, who was Charlie's girlfriend, would have been so much better for him than that little bitchy bimbo. Alan is supposed to be the smart brother, but he must be very stupid when it comes to women, or does he only have really bad luck?

Oh, true! But what was he really thinking? When they didn't have sex, they had nothing in common.

Alans first wife is a real bitch, the second one, well like you Furienna, i think she's a comlete bimbo, exactly as you said, what did they have outside sex, ZILCH actually, as annball1957 says, he was lead by his hormones. For someone as smart as Alan, you'd think he would have seen that coming, a mile off. :happyface

I'm also so pissed off by how they can get all this money from Alan. The poor guy has to live with his brother, just because Judith has him pay her house, so he can't afford anything for himself. And now Kandy is the same, so he has even less money than before. If it wasn't for Charlie, poor Alan wouldn't even have any food to eat. Okay, I'm from Sweden, and women here are supposed to support themselves, so we might have different laws about this. But how is it possible to demand that much money from someone you divorced? Why can't those bitches get off their lazy butts and earn their own money instead of just living off Alan, just because they were married to him at one point? How can it even be legal for women in California to do things like this? It wasn't even like Alan did anything bad to either of them. He didn't cheat on them or abuse them, as far as I can tell. So it's not like he deserves to be at the rough end of both divorces. I'm sure he didn't even want either one of those divorces in the first place. And he's the one, who has to suffer.

yes that is the point.you are suppose to hate her.I cant stand her and if alan had a brain which he is suppose to have he would have found a better lawer.Like she gives alan all the bills for jake even though he pays child support and spends a lot of money on him when he is there over the weekend.she uses the money to go on vacation instead of buying Jake what he needs

Oh yes. I can't believe she did that. And once, she forced Alan to pay her car insurance and something like that. I mean, gaaaaaaaaaaaaah! If you can't stay married to a man, you shouldn't live off him either. I'm just so glad that she found another to man to live off, so Alan is off her hook.

We're supposed to hate them and freak out at the injustice. They did a good job gettin' us to do just that didn't they? Furienna, I totally understand what you're saying, but it's a sitcom. They're gonna stretch a few things and take artistic license to make the plot work. In reality, unless you're a complete moron, divorce settlements like that wouldn't happen. They can get brutal, but not to this extreme. Just be sure to yell at the screen when those evil bitches are on. Heh,heh.

I really do hope, that such unfair divorce settlements don't happen in real life. I can hardly watch this show anymore, because I feel so terribly bad for Alan. I know it's only a sitcom, but it still irks me. But for some reason, my mother keeps watching it, so I end up watching it with her some times.

I hear ya. Judith's character is dispicable and she acts it so well that we all hate her. Oh well, glad she's not mine!

Also there was an episode from the first or second season which detailed the divorce, as well as the lawyers that they used. After Charlie had sex with and then later dumped Alan's lawyer, played by Heather Locklear, she represented Alan really badly in the divorce to get back at Charlie, so Alan was screwed over even more.

I adored the Kandi character, she was SO funny !!!!

I'm sorry, but there's nothing funny about that skank.

Skank? Oh yeah...definately.  You've gotta give her credit for some laughs though. The delivery of her lines, the timing and voice, it was always perfect. For example, the episode when she was staying at Judith's and her Dad came over. Judith was angry with Kandi and was saying that friends didn't do this and that and Kandi's response was "Yah-Huh!" and it was priceless  Or minutes after her and Alan were married and Charlie said that she now owned half of everything Alan owned. Kandi's response, "Oh reeeeely." hilarious! I love the show but hafta admit that Kandi actually made at least a coupla episodes.

I still don't think Kandi ever was funny. She just comes across as annoying to me, especially when I watch the episodes about her a second time, knowing how she would treat Alan later on.

Judith is either an incredible actress or she is truly an evil woman. The character is just so convincing and very easy to dislike. She's another spoke in the wheel that is 2 1/2 Men and the storyline works. I do know women exactly like the character though....evil.

If you actually know women like Judith, I pity the poor men, who are unlucky enough to get involved with them. But yes, the actress playing Judith (what's her name again?) is really good in her role, just like the rest of the cast are.

Judith (Marin Hinkle) is the perfect antagonist to short sell Alan because of his relative stubbornness. She's great as a recurring cast member rather than a regular, where I think she'd get stale quickly.

I wasn't particularly interested with the whole premise behind Kandi and her character, in fact I thought the introduction of her mother and father - who both hooked up with Charlie and Judith respectively - was in bad taste. Chuck Lorre decided to run with the Alan/Kandi anomaly where Alan's character was alienated into that of poach with very little intellect and reason behind his decisions.

It was sort of contradictory because Alan is notorious for being the level-headed intelligent person over any other cast member, yet they decided to make his character look like a loon during the Kandi angle.

Alan was stupid, getting married to a girl, with whome he had nothing in common except sex. And after only a few months, when the sex thing wasn't interesting to Kandi anymore, and the money was all spent, the marriage was over. But he still didn't deserve to be at the rough end of yet another divorce. She had no right to throw Alan out of the condo, just like Judith had no right to throw him out of the house.
