1.Sounder( about a dog who bite someone and had to be killed, but there is another movie called Sounder, with Cisey Tyson spelled wrong,I don't know if it is the title/)
Zoneboy 04-06-2008, 01:45 AM The Onion Field ;)
PlayOn 04-06-2008, 03:24 AM *Old Yeller. I'm an animal lover and hated when Yeller went crazy, which was the cause of his death.
*Titanic (to be fair, part of me was crying because it was too friggin' long and the ending didn't help much either)
*Cold Mountain was kinda sad. Altho, I've just seen bits and pieces, it seemed like somebody died every few seconds.
Dean Winchester 04-06-2008, 03:33 AM House Of Wax. When the spear goes through Paris Hilton's skull, it's the saddest moment in cinematic history
Courtnee 04-06-2008, 08:35 PM I cried during Forrest Gump and Click.
gidgetgrape 04-06-2008, 08:45 PM 1. Imitation of Life (1959) - When Sarah Jane grabs her mother's coffin - that's it for me
Old Yeller. I'm an animal lover and hated when Yeller went crazy, which was the cause of his death.
I can't watch any movie with dying animals anymore. I go crazy. I got emotional when they painted Big Bird blue and stuck him in a cage in Follow That Bird.
*ClassicPinUp* 04-06-2008, 11:52 PM Ladder 49; I try to avoid movies like this since my man's a firefighter and well...I just don't want to think about such things but I watched this one because John Travolta's in it. Yeah, tears, tears and more tears.
The Green Mile; Omg that entire movie had me crying!
I Am Sam; That one had some sad moments.
I Am Legend; Enjoyed the movie but could NEVER watch the part where his dog dies in his arms again. Uhh, me, my sister and my niece just couldn't handle that scene. (Will Smith did an amazing job). For some reason (even though I know it's fake) I can't handle animals dying in any movie.
Bambi; Watched that when I was 4. I still haven't recovered. Why did that bastard have to shoot Bambi's mother!
Lhomme couture 04-07-2008, 12:02 AM Titanic
Old Yeller
The Deep End of the Ocean
To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday
Beaches
All of these movies touched me profoundly, each dealing with a loss in some way.
Child_of_the_80s 04-07-2008, 12:15 AM Not in order...
1. Splendor in the Grass (I felt for Deanie when she broke down in tears after Bud breaks up with her and the last scene)
2. Stop Loss (Didn't want to see it at first, but friends dragged me to see. It hits to close to home)
3. Beaches (It was more of the Bette Midler song that made me cry, but watching it years later since my best friend died, makes me sob throughout the movie)
4. All Dogs Go to Heaven (It only became sadder to watch when I found out that the little girl who voiced Ann-Marie died before the movie was released.)
5. The Color Purple (the whole movie made me cry.)
6. The Little Princess

Follow that Bird was the first movie I ever saw in a theater - way back in August 1985. Grandma took me. :D
My pick would have to be Shadowlands - I BAWLED through it like a baby. I also cried during the Green Mile.

My aunt has the DVD and I wanted to see it, but now that I know his dog dies in his arms, I may rethink that one. I hate animal death in movies.
'Bambi' was sad. :( Makes me feel *almost* bad about going hunting.
I cried during Forrest Gump and Click.
Okay, if anyone repeats this, I will deny it, but one time I got a little misty eyed while watching Gump.
Lhomme couture 04-07-2008, 02:46 PM 4. All Dogs Go to Heaven (It only became sadder to watch when I found out that the little girl who voiced Ann-Marie died before the movie was released.)
I didn't know this until reading your post. The little girl was murdered by her own father. :(

1. The Note Book
tv star collector 04-07-2008, 05:56 PM The last movie that really brought tears to my eyes was Disney's remake of
"Mighty Joe Young," starring Charlize Theron. The climactic scene when Joe
saved the child on the ferris wheel--and almost died--was very emotional, for
me.

Child_of_the_80s 04-09-2008, 09:07 AM I didn't know this until reading your post. The little girl was murdered by her own father. :(
July would be the 20th anniversary of her and her mother's murder. I found out that she died three years ago, I was around 13, so I should have remembered some coverage, but she didn't get any real coverage like Heather O'Rouke did when she died eariler that year. The little girl's name was Judy Barsi I believe, she was also on Punky Brewster and Growing Pains, I do remember her from those shows. I wanted to see what had happened to the girls that were Punky's bunkmates at Fenster Hall and got the shock of my life when I found out that the little girl died two years later because of her stupid, drunk father, I cried for days. I believe she would have been 30 this year:( .

All Dogs Go to Heaven always broke my heart. I can still think of the part where he says goodbye to her in the end and hear her say "Charlie" and it makes me so emotional. OMG! What a terribly sad movie! Imagine a cartoon crushing my heart.

This movie does crush my heart as well. I even notice sadness the whole time in that little girl's voice. This was the same time she went through all that crap with her father. It saddens me how she didn't lived to see this movie or her other movie, The Land Before Time, only ten years old and murdered in such a horrible way. I wish I knew about her death eariler instead of finding out about a decade later.
