What type of mouthwash do you use/prefer?
I use Crest's wintergreen mouthwash. It doesn't burn as much as Listerine does.

I used to use the ACT Flouride rince, but apparently ACT decided to take that and add alcohol to it, which disappointed me, but oh well. I bought the children's one too (bubblegum flavored) since it has no alcohol. AB 03-09-2008, 10:57 AM Scope - mint green is my favorite, also like the cinnamon scope Mikado 03-09-2008, 12:18 PM Scope tastes best but, I use Listerine cause it works better OH Nuts! 03-09-2008, 12:19 PM I use alcohol free store brand if i can find it. Otherwise, Tom's junecleaver 03-09-2008, 02:26 PM There must be something about listerine because i know a lot of people that say Listerine burns the heck out of their mouth. I use Crest, it works just as good without the burn. Plus it tastes and smells way better. My dentist also uses that brand and recommends it better for you because of the fact it doesn't have alcohol in it. Like they say, it doesn't have to burn to know that it works. Chocolate Moose 03-20-2008, 12:19 PM I got Pro - Health which is alcohol free b ut the aftertaste, whew !!! Chelsea 03-20-2008, 12:25 PM In general I can't stand any product other than gum with a mint taste, which of course always leaves me up a creek in regards to dental products. The only reassuring thing is that manufacturers are FINALLY getting the hint that some folks don't care for mint, and are starting to roll out things like orange, etc. As for what brand: Honestly, I just jump types depending on cost, mood, etc. howierules86 03-20-2008, 01:55 PM Right now, I'm using a Walgreens store brand of mouthwash. Crimson and Clover 03-20-2008, 05:56 PM ACT Anticavity Fluoride Rinse Holly 03-21-2008, 08:49 AM I use ACT Mint, or Spearamint. Sorry if i spelt it wrong. but tha'ts what I use.:) Dude111 06-15-2026, 09:50 PM Does anyone know if they make a mouthwash WITHOUT FLOURIDE!! I have avoided flouride for many years as SODIUM FLOURIDE is a poison and not good for you!! I would like to use mouthwash if I could find it w/o that crap in it!! stevea 06-15-2026, 10:18 PM Is there a conspiracy theory you DON'T subscribe to? It's safe at normal levels. Kids have had fluoride treatments since at lesst the 1950s, and we're still around. It's in all toothpastes. AI: Fluoride can be toxic in large amounts, but it is safe and beneficial for dental health at recommended levels. Excessive exposure, especially in children, can lead to dental fluorosis or other health issues. Understanding Fluoride Fluoride is a naturally occurring mineral that is commonly added to drinking water and dental products to prevent cavities. While it is beneficial for dental health at recommended levels, it can be toxic in large amounts. Toxicity of Fluoride Safe Levels: At low concentrations, fluoride helps strengthen teeth and prevent decay. Toxic Levels: Excessive exposure can lead to health issues, including dental fluorosis, which affects the appearance of teeth, and other potential health problems. Health Effects of Excessive Fluoride Dental Fluorosis: This condition occurs when children are exposed to high levels of fluoride while their teeth are developing, leading to discoloration and spots on teeth. Other Health Risks: Prolonged exposure to high levels of fluoride may be linked to various health issues, including potential impacts on cognitive development in children. Conclusion Fluoride is not inherently a poison; it is the dosage that determines its safety. At recommended levels, it is effective for dental health, but caution is necessary to avoid excessive exposure, especially in children. Dude111 06-15-2026, 11:32 PM Flouride can mess up your peneal gland and make it hard to think right Stevie! It can actually weaken things which dentists LOVE as it give thems more work!! Read this buddy: http://publichealthpolicyjournal.com/the-hidden-harms-of-fluoride-a-critical-examination stevea 06-16-2026, 06:34 AM The article is the opinion of Dr. Robert Dixon, an anti-fluoridation advocate. Nowhere in it does it mention the level of exposure to fluoride; that is, are they talking about levels above normal? Re the pineal gland: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pineal_gland#Calcification I see no study which reveals the cause as fluoride. Dude111 06-16-2026, 06:42 AM http://healthandfitnessweb.com/the-dangers-of-fluoride-on-your-pineal-gland stevea 06-16-2026, 06:51 AM The article is full of "may" and "may suggest" statements. But we can conclude the calcification in the pineal gland is well documented. If any study had actually proven that normal levels of fluoride consumption had caused it, AND proven what the calcification had caused, we'd be hearing about it on the news. Dude111 06-16-2026, 07:04 AM I doubt it.. They dont wanna do anything that exposes stuff like this buddy! Look how they were about this shot.. Nothing like this will ever hit MSM Stevie!! They are lying and lying to people everyday to keep them living a fake reality.. They wont ever let the truth come out! They want people watching TV why?? BECAUSE THE TRUTH OF THINGS WILL NOT EVER BE TELEVISED!! The CIA tried to tell people but they wont ever listen, they are too controlled/brainwashed :( www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=369589 stevea 06-16-2026, 07:58 AM Refer back to the first sentence of post 14. Or to sum up - "Everybody is lying except the conspiracy theorist." Dude111 06-16-2026, 08:54 AM Im Sorry buddy,im not trying to make you mad ok? I guess im trying to help you :) stevea 06-16-2026, 09:52 AM Nobody's "mad."
