I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but what do you think is the most controversial case UM ever did?

It's not necessarily one that you don't believe, but which ones do you think have the most amount of people on both sides? (I realize it's funny to argue about controversy... but go with me on this.)

We don't need to argue the merits of the case here. That's probably been done elsewhere already. Just add your ideas to the list.

Dale Kerstetter. I don't think too many people can say for sure what exactly happened to him.

Well for me, along with the Jeffrey MacDonald case already mentioned, I would have to say the case of Aileen Conway is very controversial. This case has so many clues to really give you something to think about. From the clues left at her home (water running, iron) to the church flyer found a short distance away I just can't decide what happened to Aileen.

Robert F. Kennedy assassination and the possibility of a second gunman being involved.

Along those lines how abut the story about Huey Long and the possibility that Dr. Weiss was innocent of the shooting.

Also, the segment about the Martin Luther King Jr. assassination.

I'd say Tara Calico........for the simple fact I never saw it on other than in the early morning (2AM), half-hour time slot......

Nyleen Kay Marshall. Those letters that were sent to her family were just plain disturbing, whether they were legit or not.

Justin, a 2nd gunman WAS involved in the RFK assassination (in my opinion). Of course the LAPD which is notoriously corrupt "lost" aka destroyed any and all evidence that would prove this. Did you know that Sirhan Sirhan's bullets all missed RFK and that his bullets were fired into the wall behind RFK? The wood paneling was later "lost" by the LAPD. Also, Sirhan Sirhan from where he was standing, he was standing behind RFK yet RFK was hit from the front.

It is just like with JFK how they suddenly reveal just days ago that Lee Harvey Oswald and Jack Ruby did in fact know each other at least 6 weeks BEFORE JFK was shot? Interesting how the Dallas DA suddenly decides after over 44 years to make this little fact public. Again, Oswald did not kill JFK (in my opinion) the shots that killed Kennedy came from the grassy knoll.

DB Cooper - There is no doubt in my mind that Richard McCoy (I think the first name was Richard) was DB Cooper. american Justice profiled this case and did a GREAT job with it (I think the special was 2 hours). They delve deeper into the theory and the fact the McCoy was a green beret, when he was killed, they found thousands of dollars in a closet, etc. I wish UM would have explored this theory further. All they did was mention McCoy.

I really don't feel the Son of Sam segment is controversial at all. I've never doubted that he did not act alone.

Let me just say it's about damn time. I have all the various audio recordings of the RFK assassination and on a couple of them you can clearly hear the shots. The fact that these tapes exist is no secret, but aside from an obscure and highly questionable analysis in 1982, they have been overlooked.

That paper with Oswald and Ruby was dismissed. It was thought to be a page from a script the original prosecutor wanted to right.

I used to be a beliver in conspiracies but not anymore. I find it hard to believe that a conspiracy can be kept that secret for almost forty years. Surely someone could have presented some real evidence by now. Oswald killed a cop before he was arrested by the police. Patsys don't do that.

Is there ANYTHING about ANY of the Kennedys that isn't controversial??? :lol:
