View Full Version : Six Musicians With Pasts They Hope You'll Forget AKA 01-29-2008, 02:12 AM http://www.cracked.com/article_15826_six-musicians-with-pasts-they-hope-youll-forget.html Dean Winchester 01-29-2008, 02:19 AM Y Kant Tori Read was hilarious SBTB Geek 01-29-2008, 03:39 AM wow @ Dr. Dre. TJL 01-29-2008, 06:48 AM It's really funny that Alanis (and her record company) went to such great lengths to erase her Debbie Gibsonesque past. One of the channels (MTV maybe) used to show clips of a concert she performed back then, complete with backup boy dancers. Not pretty. ;) ABlairican Pie 01-29-2008, 09:42 AM Wow, I knew Alice In Chains was a glam metal band in the beginning, but I had never seen just how glammed out they were! I knew that Pantera was definitely glam in their appearance in the 80's, but then, that's what everyone did back then. Once the 90's began, they changed all that to a more hardcore style in a heartbeat. Maybe when Phil Anselmo opens his mouth again, let's just remind him of his pre-1990 past!! ;) Interesting story about Evanescence, they denied they were a Christian band while allowing themselves to be played on Christian stations and sold in Christian bookstores. Hmmmm. TJL 01-29-2008, 08:47 PM I like this cracked.com site Brad. Lots of funny stuff. Dean Winchester 01-29-2008, 08:50 PM too bad there's no mention of Bjork's kiddie disco album from 1977  Dean Winchester 02-03-2008, 07:25 PM I am surprised nobody mentions Sarah Brightman (famous Broadway star and pop vocalist)'s past as a disco singer, she had a hit in 1978 with "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper" http://youtube.com/watch?v=b_zMU2tX5n8 ABlairican Pie 02-03-2008, 10:00 PM I am surprised nobody mentions Sarah Brightman (famous Broadway star and pop vocalist)'s past as a disco singer, she had a hit in 1978 with "I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trooper" http://youtube.com/watch?v=b_zMU2tX5n8Wow, she ripped off the title of a Yes song!! Ireneparalegal 02-03-2008, 10:06 PM The only one that I was shocked at (the others I already knew) was Alice in Chains. |
