Wow, it's actually not a Fresh Prince week. This time, it's Home Improvement! I'm thrilled! But Pavan, I thought George Lopez was doing a lot better in the ratings then Home Improvement. Wonder why they didn't air a week of George Lopez instead.

I knew this Valentine's thing was going to be the same old story. I was hoping for possibly an episode or two of Roseanne and Cosby. Why can't they just air those shows once in awhile? Do they have to continuously air the 3 three shows? I'm already sick of it.

Pavan

They can't air a full week of George like that because it is also in syndication on local channels for its first year right now. The deal doesn't allow it do that right now. But maybe in a year or two, you'll see something like a full week marathon.

That's right, I forgot about that. I guess you should tell Solomon that before he comes here and comlains about George Lopez again-LOL

I'm still shocked NAN is still airing a week of Home Improvement. That entire week, we won't be seeing any Fresh Prince whatsoever. How great is that? I guess Nick at Nite is listening to our complaints, but still airing 3 shows all the time isn't enough. Family Matters is still coming in March, right?

I wonder why they even renewed the contract for Roseanne in the first place, if they have no plans to air it.

Family Matters is coming in March, as far as I know. As early as March 3. Details will come in a few weeks, I'm sure. Look out for promos.

I'm hoping Family Matters does well. It would be a great addition to the lineup, and would give us more variety (with only 4 shows-LOL).

They'd probably air it leading off the night, maybe at 8:30 and 9pm, like Full House used to do. Both shows are very similar, and I could definitely see Family Matters as a transitional show.

I just the blog today, and it's sad to hear that Family Matters is leaving ABC Family. It seems like i'ts always been one of the top rated daytime shows on the channel. It'll definitely seem weird having something else in the 7am and 1pm slots, because Family Matters has anchored there for so long.

I'll tell you, ABC Family is definitely not the same channel anymore. No more Family Matters, Step by Step, or Boy Meets World, which were always the shows I watched for. I occassionally watch Sabrina and What I Like About You, but besides that, the entire channel has gone downhill.

Pavan

Step by Step airs at 9am still...

I would move SBS to 7-8am and 1-2pm and bring back Hogan Family to weekdays at 9am.

Wasn't there a way NAN and ABC Family could share Family Matters? My 1pm slot will definitely be empty for awhile.

I think Step by Step will be gone once again soon, if not by March. It's been shoved around too many times, and ABC Family really seems to be going in a newer direction. Do they have any plans for any new shows soon? I know My Wife and Kids and That 70's Show are coming in the fall.

If they bring Hogan Family back (which they should) they should do Step by Step at 7am, Hogan Family at 8pm, and maybe an episode of Sabrina or WILAY at 9am, then Full House at 12pm, Sabrina at 1pm, Sister Sister at 2pm, Full House at 3pm, and WILAY at 4pm.

The deal for Family Matters is exclusive for cable, so only one channel can air it. Step by Step has been on the network since like 2001 and it has always done well. It is licensed until 2010.

I see that after the last episode of Family Matters earlier this week on ABC Family, the show began at Season 4. Anyway, I'm more than happy that FM is coming to NAN. I hope they do a marathon for it. That is the first acquisition I'll watch in a long time since maybe Roseanne.

I wouldn't mind seeing that come to ABC Family . . . i would be perfect with What I Like About You and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, maybe from 1pm-4pm. I'm sick of seeing Full House at 3pm.

I was hoping that a show like Blossom would come to ABC Family, but I don't see many if any NBC shows on the channel. That really would be the only show that would keep me with that channel.

I too hope that Family Matters gets a week long launch event. I'd like it to air at 10 and 10:30PM, however more likely it will be 9-10PM. Since Who's The Boss? leaves ION at 10 I'm hoping FM gets 10PM on NAN.

I think some sort of Black History stunt is going on this Sunday on Nick at Nite from 9-11pm. George Lopez and Home Improvement will get shifted a bit on this night for the stunt featuring a Nick News Special and 3 Fresh Prince episodes:

9:30pm Fresh Prince of Bel Air #045
10:00pm Fresh Prince of Bel Air #017

June? Pavan, you knew all along didn't you-LOL

Does that mean we're gonna be getting commercial after commercial for Family Matters for the next 4 months? God, if they do, I'll have to kill myself. That means we'll have to go 4 months without Family Matters airing at all. I

This summer is gonna be great, though. We get FM on NAN, Murphy Brown and Mad About You, on TV Land . . . I don't understand why NAN can't maybe air a small preview of the show maybe once in March, April, and May. If they have the rights, why not?

Pavan
01-31-2008, 04:41 PM
I just found it recently of the move to June. I don't think promos will start until something big airs, possibly the TV Land Awards or something.

That's still quite a lot of time for promos. I could see moving the premiere to April, or even May, but I think June is a stretch, especially when they get rights 3 months prior.

This is absolutely unbelievable to me. I can't believe we're actually getting only 2 Fresh Prince a night! I never thought we'd see the day-LOL. Were ratings for FP overnight sinking or what? They must have been if they're bringing back the rotating Roseanne, Cosby, and Ful lHouse. At least for the next weeks, I'll be watching Roseanne and Cosby as much as possible!

Now HI and GL are airing more than Fresh Prince. Once Family Matters comes, we could actually see the end of FP on NAN!

Pavan
02-07-2008, 12:14 PM
Well, how much FP can they air before they run low on airplays, lol? The contract is still until fall 2009, so they must be saving up. They probably have over 40 airplays per episode for the show...which means 40 times an episode can air (not counting repeats within 24 hours, for example episode 1 airs at 11pm and repeats at 4am, it counts as one play) per the contract.

It seems liked they aired most episodes 40 times already-LOL. I wouldn't be surprised if they were close it it, though. Seriously, only 6 seasons were produced, so airing 10 episodes a night isn't exactly the best way to save up on airplays-LOL.

Also, according to the NAN boards, Home Improvement is also joining Roseanne, Cosby, and Full House in the latenight wheel. It's not exactly rotating, because HI is only airing a few times, not once every 4th night, if that makes sense.

I think it's cool except most people are asleep between 2-6 am. I think it would be better if they were on earlier but that's just my opinion.

This move by N@N would have been apart of my rant this week if these shows was airing from 10pm to 2am instead of 2am to 6am-

lol

well i know that's your opinion but I actually like seeing some of these older shows coming back. I haven't watched The Cosby Show in a while, Roseanne is alright I still would watch it probably depending on what episodes and seasons were on, Full House is on ABC Family and on DVD and i know most of these shows are on DVD and i've seen the episodes a lot but I would probably watch it if nothing else was on. I'm just saying I think it's a nice change from the normal schedule of George Lopez, Fresh Prince, Home Improvement.

Also, according to the NAN boards, Home Improvement is also joining Roseanne, Cosby, and Full House in the latenight wheel. It's not exactly rotating, because HI is only airing a few times, not once every 4th night, if that makes sense.

It seems they list Home Improvement every Friday with marathons. I don't see that listed.

i agree - it is a nice change from the normal 3 shows on the lineuo. Now, they're actually is variety, which we haven't seen in ages on NAN.

I've really enjoyed watching Roseanne and Cosby again on television. Like Solomon, I could do without Full House, but I could care less. I hope they keep it that way for awhile, before going back to the all night Fresh Prince.

I wouldn't mind Home Improvement join them - or better yet, replace Full House.

THAT STINKS

No, it doesn't stink. It smells a ton better than that same Fresh Prince crap EVERY SINGLE night.

I think N@N actually made a very wise move, and I hope they keep this schedule, and keeps Fresh Prince to a minimum. It's way past time for this change.

I was saying the fact that George Lopez doesn't get a night like Full House stinks. Not the removal of Fresh Prince on N@N overnight

Is Nick at Nite airing Nick News every Sunday at 9 now? Home Improvement was scheduled but Nick News was on instead. It's aired there the last few weeks.

I noticed that as well, catsrule. You'd think NAN could for once provide us with an accurate schedule.

And also, I flipped on the TV last night, and it was Fresh Prince - I believe The Cosby Show was supposed to me. I guess NAN did away with the Roseann/Cosby/Full House blocks for Fresh Prince once again. But, let's wait and see what airs tonight.

Once Family Matters comes, we could actually see the end of FP on NAN!
When is Family Matters coming to N@N?

Thanks. I actually just found another thread where someone said it's coming in June too - which sucks. Oh well, guess we'll have to wait a few more months. I'm sure it will be THE summer show on N@N. I can't wait!

My mistake - it was NickToo, which delays NAN's airings by 3 hours. I must have done the math wrong in my head.

Didn't N@N do this last year around the same time? The rotated three shows in late night mini marathons, if I remeber right it was Roseanne, TCS, and FP. It was around Feb or March last year they started this cause I remember looking forward to Growing Pains being added to the line up only to have it disappear and those marathons taking over. That was before N@N decided to do the summer week long marathons and then finally the FP month long marathons with the occasional relief of another show throw in for kicks.
Dont be suprised if N@N replaces these mini marathons this summer with major blocks of week long marathons, but maybe they wont all become FP.
