Of the last four decades, the 70''s, the 80's the 90's and the 2000's, which are you most interested it. It doesn't have to be a decade that you personally lived during. I was born in 1976, so I remember very little about the 1970's, but along with the the 1960's it is the decade of the 20th century that I'm most interested in. The 70's had great movies, great music, great tv shows and great books. So, I'm going with the 70's.

80's, 70's, 90's, now

If I lived in Europe, current might not be so low (since there's more diversity there) but I feel that hip hop and other types of music I don't care for have gotten too popular and too dominating this decade

the 80s or 90s. i just think they were cool, and pop culture/entertainment was really interesting in those decades. in my opinion anyway.

now is...now, so it's not really fair to judge it, because everyone always hates the present but in 20 years looks back on it and says "aww look its the good old dayzzz!".

you're right. Back in the 70's I was having nostalgia for the 50's. Now years later I realize how great the 70's really were.

I think in actuality, everything gets so much worse that you yearn for the mediocrity because it's great compared to what's out now. I notice that I yearn for the days of all the bad teen pop music from the late 90's, I hated it then and I don't like it now, but.... compared to a lot of what's out now? it's brilliant.

I think recently music's getting a lot better as opposed to the late 90's/early 00's, though.

I like a lot of what's popular in Europe, there's a lot of great rock and pop and r&b out there. But in America, it seems like it's all the samey sounding hip hop and whiny emo groups, to the extent that you almost miss hearing "Bye Bye Bye"

My fave decade was the 80's; the movies & the music. I like the 90's, and after but, my preferance was the 80's; wish I could back to that time.

I voted for the 80's because that's when all my childhood memories are from and I loved the music and movies and shows from back then. I would put the 90's next because I think they were ok in my opinion. I don't remember the 70's because i wasn't born then but i know of some of the music and shows from that decade.

for me it has to be the 80s, followed by the 90s. i wasn't born in the 50s,
60s and 70s and so i cannot comment much about those decades. but being born in the 1980s it was a great decade. yeah, there was a lot of bad as well such as the aids epidemic, riots in england and other parts of the uk, but as a kid i enjoyed it very much. plus, popular culture was great- there was great music, tv shows such as the cartoons, films to name- something we don't get these days.

the 80s ruled for me, well the mid-80s onwards and sometimes i miss it terribly. but thanks to youtube for eg, i can watch vintage tv shows, watch retro music vids, basically i am reliving my childhood. second favourite is the 90s- don't really care about the 00s and today.

there is more war, trouble, famine, poverty, hatred today than there ever was over 20 years ago. the 00s was the decade where almost everything went to ****. plus a lot of tv today is utter garbage, films aren't far behind either and the music scene has deteriorated. and so not being biased, but its the 80s which does it for me, every time

I was born in Jan. of '88, but i really believe if i actually got to live thru the 80's i would have enjoyed it. The music was awesome (and i am not a music lover...i'm very picky) the movies were all funny, good, and most of them were not copied from a past movie. Toys were cool, clothing was weird but it looked very fun to be dressed like a weirdo

The 90s was the worst decade IMO, the clothes were LAME, ugly and i hated dressing in the 90s. Hair was the most ugliest...i look back in my yearbooks from the 90's and everyone had terrible half-short half-long hair..omg it makes my eyes burn talking about the hair and clothes.

juncleaver, yr profile says 1987... not 1988. Just a FYI.

I'm going to have to go with the 80's here. I was born in '85, so I got to be a lil kid for a while in the 80's... The late 80's, anyway. And I actually do remember the late 80's... I miss them terribly.

Nah, you were in the clear. :) The lawmakers have had COPPA -- Children's Online Privacy Protection Act -- in place since 2000. One of the rules of COPPA is that it requires websites that collects personal info, such as this one, to not allow anyone under 13 to join, unless they get parental permission.

Hope that helps! :)

The 80's. During a course I took in college we were given an assignment to do a write up and presentation on a business we were pretending to create and start up. My idea was for a 1980's store. A store in which all the items had something to do with the 1980's. I remember how the class seemed to like the idea. I even came up with a name for the store, but at the moment I can't think of it.

The 1980's had great tv shows, music, etc. I grew up in the 80's. I remember them because I was born in '78.

That is a great idea for a store, Jenny. :)

If it wasn't for Bush, the war in Iraq, Darfur, New Orleans, and the 9/11 attacks... the 2000's would have OWNED!!!!!!!! The next two years are going to rock. They'll make up for lost time.

No, but I actually like this decade. Seriously.

yeah, this decade is awesome for the most part, so many new things are coming out. We are pretty much able to watch tv on our cell phones, dressing styles aren't too bad now (well for some people), and the ability to keep in touch with someone is wayyy better than the past decades.
