I really dislike K.C. & the Sunshine Band. I don't even like "Boogie Shoes", their song from Saturday Night Fever (when I listen to the soundtrack, I just skip over that song). It has always been my opinion that it was artists like KC & the Sunshine Band and the Villiage People who made some people loath disco so much. I think there music was really poory written and performed. Of course, as Dennis Miller used to say, this is just my opinion and I could be wrong. :) catlover79 01-26-2008, 01:20 AM It's OK, Mike - to each his own. Those are actually the only songs by them I like. I went to see the Indians clinch the Central Division back in September with my brother. They played Boogie Shoes over the PA during the game - so it brings back a good memory. :D But I digress. mrs.gingerhinkley 01-27-2008, 01:10 PM Get Down Tonight AB 01-27-2008, 02:19 PM KC & The Sunshine Band were the group that everyone did "the Bump" to back in the 70's. Boy does that bring back the memories! (lol!) Thats The Way I Like It Get Down Tonight Boogie Shoes I'm Your Boogie Man Keep It Coming Love Dean Winchester 01-27-2008, 04:41 PM KC weren't the best, but they weren't that bad. I think they're just typecast because they have four or five songs there that are played out party anthems. He was one of the only disco era artists to have a hit in the Reagan era with "Give It Up". catlover79 01-28-2008, 12:00 AM I also like the duet that KC did with Teri DeSario - "Yes, I'm Ready". AB 02-04-2008, 06:47 PM Music should be fun and make you feel good, and thats what KC & the Sunshine Band does for me. Keep It Coming Love Greenbeans 07-23-2020, 01:33 PM Awhile back I saw KC at a small club in D.C. He was over an hour late taking the stage (no seating - everyone was packed together on the floor). When he finally showed up, he literally looked green. He was a mess. We left after 4 or 5 songs. I decided at that point I'd stick to the records. Anyway, favorite song: I'm Your Boogie Man.
