View Full Version : Another Goof- project building 17th floor
prestige 01-10-2008, 11:42 AM I was just wondering, how is the Evans family living on the 17th floor in the projects and the highrise project building that is in the opening credits does not have 17 floors, I counted the floors during the opening credits and the building does not have 17 floors.
Also, how in the world is the street is leveled with the 17th floor looking out of the window, during the first season of the outside background view, just wondering.
catlover79 01-10-2008, 12:02 PM Good question - I guess they figured we wouldn't notice.

welcome to the board and I like your analytical skills-lol I brought this up before and like you said it's clearly seen in the opening that the building show only has 8 floors which never matched the number of floors mentioned on the show which is defintely another goof
Ireneparalegal 01-10-2008, 05:02 PM Well, we did discuss this same topic at least twice. It is a goof.
Brieannas21 01-11-2008, 04:07 PM Well I went to a Carbrini Green website and I counted the floors and I counted 16 floors, and if you include the basement it would be 17 floors.
prestige 01-11-2008, 04:32 PM That is fine, but remember, we are talking about the building that is in the opening credits--the viewers are assuming that the evans family resides in one of those highrise project building that is in the opening credits-
Brieannas21 01-11-2008, 04:38 PM Yeah but it was never stated which building the Evans lived in. So who's to say that the building we see in the opening credits was their apartment building. If you click this link Cabrini Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlTfR74Xk2M&feature=related) you'll see that it wasn't just one building.
prestige 01-11-2008, 04:41 PM Also, how can it be 17 floors, did the agent from housing authority start from the basement (walked down) to the basement to (walk up) 17 flights of stairs to come to the evans family apartment? (the elevator was down)
prestige 01-11-2008, 04:42 PM LOL, well who in the hell apartment project building is it-lol
prestige 01-11-2008, 04:47 PM lol-Well who in the hell the apartment project highrise is it, the background of the highrise behind the stage window looks just like the building in the opening credits?
Brieannas21 01-11-2008, 04:57 PM Some buildings had different levels, not all of the buildings had the same equal amount of floors.
prestige 01-11-2008, 05:00 PM Correct, but the buildings did not total 17 floors the ones that was showed in the opening credits--
Brieannas21 01-11-2008, 05:21 PM Correct, but the buildings did not total 17 floors the ones that was showed in the opening credits--
And who said that, that particular building was "theirs"? You're just assuming
catlover79 01-11-2008, 05:40 PM Yeah but it was never stated which building the Evans lived in. So who's to say that the building we see in the opening credits was their apartment building. If you click this link Cabrini Video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlTfR74Xk2M&feature=related) you'll see that it wasn't just one building.
That's a good point.
Ireneparalegal 01-11-2008, 05:43 PM LOL, well who in the hell apartment project building is it-lol
 I agree. If the building shown in the opening credits isn't the Evans' apartment building, why show it?
prestige 01-11-2008, 07:01 PM Did you think that the evans family lived in one of the project highrise buildings that was shown in the open credits that does not have 17 floors if you counted them? , Also where did you think the evans lived when the credits come on when the buildings were focused on?
Ireneparalegal 01-11-2008, 07:03 PM If you look at the building in the opening credits and then you look at the view outside the window in the Evans' apartment, you will see part of the apartment building. The buildings look the same.

Correct, that is what I stated earlier-
Brieannas21 01-12-2008, 01:09 AM I believe that the Evans would have lived in either of these buildings...Even though it's in black and white you get the gist. JMO
