At work this morning, I run into this mother who's dropping her kids off. She looks at my stomach and asks, "Oh, are you having a baby too?" :eek: (A couple of women here are expecting.) I just stared at her and said, "No." She just smiled and said, "Oh, you're just a little chubby then!" and walked off. :rolleyes:

I know I have a few extra pounds on my stomach, but I am NOT FAT!!! :mad: I wear a size 4 or 6 and my doctor assured me at my last physical that I am perfectly healthy and normal. Why do some idiots just assume that someone who has a couple of extra pounds on them is pregnant? This woman isn't too skinny herself. Plus, she has a reputation of being a tactless moron. Still, I'm a little pissed off right now :mad:

I'm sorry, Kristen. :( That is just such a terrible thing for that woman to have said to you. There are so many people in this world these days that need to learn to keep their opinions to themselves.

She needs a lesson in manners. I would never comment on a woman's pregnancy unless I was sure she was pregnant.

that is just uncalled for. people like that woman are just rude. i'd say that if she has nothing nice to say about you, then she should've kept her mouth shut :mad:

i think i would have said, "no, i'm not able to have kids". then she'd feel like the toolbag that she is and maybe she'd think before she spoke the next time.

I'm sorry that happened to you Kristen some people are just *******s, I wear the same size as you and I'm 5'1" so I look bigger than I actually am and my dad loves to point it out but everyone else always tells me dont ever think of loosing wait because I'm too light as it is.

You have to feel sorry for people who are that ignorant and if she is any type of person she will apologize. i had a similar experience once only slightly different. i was at the grocery store in line and this man's two children were in the way (they were little) and i nicely asked them to move over to let me through. they didn't. i told their father that i had to get through and if he could please move his kids. he responded with "kids, move. the lady needs to get through and you must ALWAYS be nice to women !" and he laughed hysterically.

i said, IM A GUY. id show you but you dont deserve to have that priviledge.

think of a good comeback next time and let 'em have it :D
