TBS to me is the Cable Channel Champion of TV shows and they treat their shows so well and it's been that way for years. Only if TBS could show the TV shows that TVLAND or N@N airs that station would be even better.

I just think TBS should show more shows before 1990, espcially in primetime.

What is your choice?

N@N/TVland have the better shows and TBS has the better editing. When will there be a day a cable station has both? TV one is close to being that but it' too ONESIDED

Since I'm mad at TVLand and all N@N shows is 'Fresh Prince', I'm going with TBS. I like how they add four episodes of 'Home Improvement' back to back around lunch time. And I agree they could pick up more older shows, like 'All in the Family.' At least it will probably get repect at TBS.

TBS did such a better job with Three's Company than N@N or TV Land. They have editing professionals, not Interns-lol

TBS never edited the Three's Company copies. DLT Entertainment did. TBS used the same prints as local syndication edits.
And I think TBS does that for all their shows...uses the local syndication prints.

TV Land and Nick at Nite do their own editing. The pros for that are usually the tag scenes are shown as well as the full opening themes of a show.

Well I wished N@N used the local syndication edits like TBS did, it was only because of TBS that allowec me to see Jack tripper's full dance scene before season 6 came out on DVD.

TBS is by far the best. I remember in the 90s it was amazing. Full House, Family Matters, Fresh Prince, Saved by the Bell, sooo many others

ABC Family imo is also one of the better cable networks, too bad TNN had to become Spike (aka Star Trek TV)

The only show I watch on TBS is Home Improvement, and I can watch that on N@N. Plus I love George Lopez, so N@N. TBS has alot more commercials too, and for Home Improvement, I though TBS did bad editing. They cut important scenes, N@N didn't.

Not that's surprising to hear because Fresh Prince on TBS has all the funny scenes in tact but they are all CUT OUT on N@N.

TBS is far from what they use to be, Nick at Nite is nothing but repetitive garbage, and TV Land stopped being TV land for a couple of years. If they stop changing their schedule all the time, they would be ok.

I hardly watch TBS anymore compared to the old days; it's why I would wind up being ecstatic when I heard about what shows were going to be featured on Peachtree TV. The only shows I really watch on TBS now are Sex and the City and the occassional Family Guy episode. TVLand I rarely watch too. And N@N is just beyond a joke now.

As far as TVOne goes, I wish I had that channel.

These networks were much better 10 years ago or so. Today there are so many cable stations that they all think they have to stand out with original programming, branding, younger demographics, etc.. which impresses advertisers but not viewers.

I like TBS. The way they treat their shows is amazing. I love the way they treat Yes Dear which IMO is a very underrated show. I also like TV Land but I can't stand Nick at nite. They know that they can show more than 3 shows. FP needs to go.Maybe I'll watch it when Family Matters joins the line up and when they run that show into the ground I'll stop again.

Right now, definitely TBS. Although, the network was much better in the late 80's/early 90's, when they aired a much better variety of shows from all eras. Right now, if they could cut back on the airings of Seinfeld/Friends/Everybody Loves Raymond/Family Guy in primetime, I'd be a happy camper-LOL.

ABC Family is another great channel when it comes to sitcoms. Their daytime lineup is pretty good. Of course, it was much better when they were airing Boy Meets World and Step by Step, but it's not bad.

It's too bad that The Wonder Years isn't on anymore.

I agree ^^ that Family Guy needs to be on channels like Comedy Central but not every local and cable channel. I get at least 10 airings a day here in Canada, it's disgusting.

I wish there could be some invention where you could you select any show to ever air on a network and just watch it or like click a button and watch TGIF from the 90s, unfortunately I'm dreaming in technicolor lol

Step by Step has been at 9am ET/PT for a while now. One airing a day.

And as far as TBS goes, back when they were airing Three's Company, the fans were calling TBS "The Butcher Shop" or "The Butcher Station."

Can't speak for TBS, but I know some of my locals air Andy Griffith and occasionally I Love Lucy....the cuts are not very good at all, IMO. In that case, TV Land's editing is much better. They seem to have a lot more commercials.

TBS shows mostly shows that are played to death in reruns and the vast majority of which have been completed on DVD (Friends, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Sex And The City, Saved By The Bell, Fresh Prince, do they still air Cosby?), but... at least they air more than three shows and devote special night/blocks to their shows instead of day in day out Fresh Prince.
