wore something in particular; had their own style, etc.

FONZIE from Happy Days: Leather jacket, t-shirt and jeans with boots. He wore that ALWAYS unless there was a scene of him in the hospital as a patient, etc.

BTW, when did Fonzie go from wearing a white t-shirt to wearing a black one?

LAVERNE DEFAZIO from Laverne & Shirley: Always had to have the letter "L" on her blouses, shirts, tops.

URKEL from Family Matters: Wore those high pants (floods LOL), suspenders, over-sized glasses, dress shirt and bow tie.

DENISE HUXTABLE from The Cosby Show: I have no clue what she was trying to be but she looked like she got her clothes from a thrift store.

PHEOBE (SP?) from Friends - again, like Denise, looks like Goodwill blewup!!
And I'd love to hear the metal detector at the airport go off with all those rings!! ;)

I read that all of the characters on the syndicated episodes of "Mama's Family" had a set color scheme for their clothes. Mama always wore shades of blue, Vint always wore brown/khaki, Naomi wore jellow, Iola had pink, and Bubba had green. Beverly Archer actually hates the color pink to this day because she had to wear it so much lol

Gilligan's Island: The Skipper, Gilligan and of course the Professor wore the same thing. Ginger wore glamor gowns. Mary Ann wore the infamous tight shorts. The Howells were always dressed up.

Mork - his striped long-sleeved T-shirts and suspenders. Oh yeah, and don't forget the hightops.

On "Three's Company," Jack always seemed to be in yellow boxer shorts (with giraffes on them) whenever he wouldn't have pants on. Janet frequently wore oversized sweatshirts to sleep in, while Chrissy wore nighties. Mr. Furley almost always had an ascot on, usually with a leisure suit. Mrs. Roper was the muumuu queen, of course.

richard karinsky from caroline in the city- i wouldn't say he has a distinct but a rather very unconventional sense of dressing and taste in fashion as he always wore black. the black clothes he wore denoted his dark but rather negative personality and sarchasm

How could I forget the ladies of "Dynasty" and their disgustingly expensive, disgustingly extravagant, disgustingly campy, but delightfully gorgeous outfits?

Scott Baio's Charles In Charge syndicated look

Reebok shoes and The Gap clothing line. In fact, most of his clothes all came from the Gap. Gap was once hot back in 1987-1989. All of his clothes were primarily Gap material. He always worn Gap clothing... That's seem to be the only material available. That's why most of his wardrobe was provided by the Gap.

That word makes me laugh when I say it and it is something I can't forget because my boyfriend told me a long time ago that he loved the way I dressed, even just for lounging around the house. I was perplexed at that comment and asked him what was so special abt how I dressed casually around the house. He said his first wife always dressed in "mumus" around the house and it was such a turn-off for him. So I can only imagine a Mrs. Roper type woman that he had to come home to every single day.

 EVERYBODY did back in those days! You couldn't get a t-shirt even half the time without shoulder pads. I'm surprised bikinis didn't end up incorporating them somehow! ;)

DARLENE - Roseanne: She was the tomboy who always wore pants and rarely dressed up in girl's attire. She even made a fuss abt wearing a dress to her school dance. We did see her later wear a dress (with boots ) to the prom.

Even after the Clampetts struck oil and moved to Beverly Hills, they still
dressed exactly the same way (and even drove the same old truck!). You
would think that Elly May and Jethro would at least have bought a belt for
their jeans instead of tying them with a rope!

Archie Bunker - ALL IN THE FAMILY: He always wore that white shirt, black pants and when he left the house, he wore that red coat and hat.

Yes, Rhoda had the bohemian look down. When she moved on to her own show, Rhoda began wearing head scarves more often, and wore more skirts. The clothes she wore really fit her outgoing, fun-loving personality. Don't forget she worked at Hempel's Department Store - I'm sure she took full advantages of her employee discounts!!

Tim Taylor from Home Improvement too wore many sweatshirts of most of the colleges and universities here in Michigan. Because in real life actor Tim Allen is originally from the Detroit Michigan area. And of course the show was set in Detroit.

Al Borland on Home Improvement was always seen in a plaid flannel shirt. Always.

Frasier and Niles Crane on Frasier were usually seen wearing a suit and a tie.
