tv star collector 11-18-2007, 09:45 AM Actually, that isn't too surprising considering that the show is now in its 19th
season and the frequency of guest stars (often ones who have been around
for decades).
PrettyinPink55 11-18-2007, 10:25 AM WOW!!! :(
ILuvZackMorris 11-27-2007, 10:14 AM It's the Curse of the Guest Stars!
Chelsea 12-07-2007, 01:17 AM An animated program that's been on for two decades has had a couple dozen of it's guest stars die? Imagine that. Not a curse.
Janice 12-07-2007, 02:50 AM Seems high to me, considering there are some very famous people on that list, for the most part.
ILuvZackMorris 12-07-2007, 10:53 AM Phil Hartman just didn't DIE, he was murdered by his insane wife who then killed herself. He had years ahead of him as a regular on The Simpsons. Some of the guest stars were older (Rodney Dangerfield) but some weren't that old (Robert Goulet was only in his early 70s).
MrCleveland 12-07-2007, 02:05 PM I hope The Simpsons cancel before more deaths occur.

I agree.
Lots of those folks were getting on in years when they appeared on the show.
livsforluv 12-27-2007, 11:57 AM Wow!
Zoneboy 12-27-2007, 01:30 PM I agree.

That may be but it's still a fairly high number plus several were only in their mid-late 50's when they died including Joey Ramone, Dee Dee Ramone, Johnny Ramone, Linda McCartney, Jim Varney, Barry White, John Entwistle & George Harrison. Also there's 9 musicians/singers on the list. The 7 I just named plus Johnny Cash & Tito Puente so that seems high to me.

Oops, you're right. I thought IMDb had him credited for The Simpsons but apparently not. Thanks for the catch. :)

I remembered that episode he was at Summer camp with Lisa. Great talent. RIP Cory.
mets82 07-15-2013, 06:01 PM Cory was in that episode?? Very sad, RIP.
You have to remember that when these stars were on the show they were somewhat old. Not one foot in the grave old but still up there in age. Look at Steve Allen, Bob Hope and Johnny Carson. What were there ages when doing the show? Even if they were 60, 70 yrs. old, that's not really young anymore, sadly.

Apparently he wasn't, both IMDb & Wiki have removed it since that was posted. Just goes to show that they're not always the most reliable sources out there and thank you for catching that.
