Happy 60th Anniver KTLA TV

I have always enjoyed KTLA. It has been a great station for as long as I can remember. The shows they will be airing are PHENOMENAL!!!!:cheer: Now, this is an example of how TVLAND SHOULD BE!!!!!!!

i dont live in ca anymore but when i did i used to watch ktla all the time i fact at one point my family and i only lived about 10 minutes away from the ktla studios .i wonder if tom hatten is going to do the popeye show again for old times sake ? it sure wouldnt be a popeye show without tom and his awsome drawings

I miss Tom, him and Popeye on Sunday mornings were something to look forward to.

I so look forward to EMERGENCY! and Laverne & Shirley. :cheer:

Too bad I don't get KTLA anymore.

I used to enjoy their morning show, even though the stories usually meant nothing to me. lol The personalities were more interesting than anyone in this town. But I heard a lot of the people I watched aren't there anymore. Too bad.

You can see the KTLA tower from the Hollywood Freeway; next time I pass it, I will roll down the window and scream..

:rofl: That'd be awesome. ;) My daughter once said, "What is that tower?" I told her and she said, "Oh the CW station." I am not used to it being called that.

Seeing that tower lets me know I AM IN HOLLYWOOD.:cool:

7:00 PM - Father Knows Best -> This should have been one of the very first DVDs burned in beta testing.
2:30 AM - Tarzan -> If this is the series starring Mr. Ron Ely, I cannot remember ever seeing this in syndication. I had thought it lost and abandoned in some dusty warehouse.

This is just not any local TV thing...it is a historic marathon with very rare shows. It's not like a marathon of just one show. And if you have satellite you can get KTLA, even if you're not in LA. You should appreciate this, even if you can't see it. Don't be selfish.

The problem is that in order to get this marathon I'd have to add a $6 programming package to the Home satellite bill, and right now's not a great time to do that - just to see some old TV shows.

It's hard to appreciate when I won't have the opportunity to see or never had the opportunity to see KTLA

I have never watched KTLA either (except once in LA, but that was very brief and it was the news). Any TV fan would appreciate what they are doing. This is certainly news worthy for people to know.

KTLA is possibly my least favorite of all the L.A. locals, but I'll definitely be tuning in this weekend. Especially Sat. 4-6, and 11:00. It's been years since I've seen "21 Jump Street" and "Doogie Howser, M.D."

And notice...ONLY TWO EPISODES OF FRESH PRINCE!!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: That is exactly how it should be aired. This is a great line-up.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching EMERGENCY!, GIDGET, UNDERDOG and THE JACK BENNY SHOW. I watched HIGHWAY PATROL, I had never seen that show.

I liked the 60 hour marathon! I taped 5 hours of the 60 which included Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Family Matters, 21 Jump Street and Wonder Woman. The only thing that is disappointing is that they did not air any episodes of Out of This World (I acquired this over the summer0 or Saved by the Bell since both shows aired on KTLA at one time or another between 1991 and 1995-96. But nonetheless a great marathon!

I recorded Lassie, Fresh Prince, Family Matters, Happy Days, Friends, and Brady Bunch onto a DVD.

However, I found it strange that Full House was not included as well as Andy Griffith Show. I remember about 3 years ago when those would always be on.
