I was reading about the recent passing of actor James Jeter who played Hans Dorfler and was wondering if he and Ira Hartwig were the only Blacksmiths in town? I haven't seen this show in quite awhile so my memory is somewhat vague. :(

From what I recall, those were the only two.

That's sad. I liked the Hans character.


Wasn't John Carter working in the blacksmith shop? I don't know if he did it regularly, but I remember him working there when Sarah's dad came to visit.

Hans was the regular blacksmith on most of the earlier episodes(like when Laura was racing Bunny).
