View Full Version : The Facts Of Life Reunion Sequel
ZeldaGilroy 11-23-2001, 08:55 PM Okay, this is my second fanfic. It is a sequel to The Facts of Life Reunion Movie. I will be posting it in parts because, as you know if you've read my other fanfic, I can be pretty long-winded, and I have not finished the whole thing. Anyway, let me know what you think of it so far!
Chapter 1
The Little Inn at Peekskill had been the location of several weddings over the years, but the one coming up was special. Blair Warner-Warner was doing her best to make everything perfect for the bride and groom, as well as the several guests who would be attending. After all, Natalie had first realized how special Harper was to her at this very Inn, and it meant a lot to Blair that the couple had chosen this spot to say, “I do.”
As Blair marched around giving orders to her staff, she thought about what a great time everyone would have at the wedding. The wedding was to take place on New Year’s Day, just six weeks after Natalie had accepted Harper’s marriage proposal. The couple had been so busy flying all over the world, covering important news stories, that Blair had volunteered to make all of the arrangements. At first, Natalie seemed reluctant to let Blair plan her special day, but in the end she realized she just did not have the time to do it. Natalie did not really want a fancy wedding, but Blair was determined that the only ceremony better than this one, would have been her own wedding ten years ago. Although nothing could beat the lavish affair Blair’s parents had thrown when she married Tad, Blair thought Natalie deserved the next best thing.
“Blair, when are you coming to bed?” Tad’s voice was eager coming from the next room. Blair had been so busy calling the florist and checking with the caterers that she had almost forgotten about her husband. The couple had been trying to get pregnant since Thanksgiving and therefore could not spend even one night apart. So far, they had not had any luck, but Blair was sure it would happen soon. “I’ll be there in a minute honey,” she answered. “I’m just making sure everything is ready for the wedding. We only have three days you know.” Tad laughed. “What I know is that if you don’t get in here soon, I’m going to fall asleep.” Blair began to giggle. She walked into the room, pulled back the covers, and slipped into bed next to her husband. “I love you,” she whispered as she kissed him.
Chapter2
It was late. The winter sky was black and there were no visible stars. As Dorothy Ramsey drove her rented U-haul truck past the “Welcome to Peekskill” sign, she looked at her daughter Tisha asleep in the seat next to her. “I love you baby,” she whispered. “I hope this move will be good for us.”
Dorothy had finished taping the final episode of her talk show in L.A. a week ago. Then she and Tisha had loaded all of their things into a rented truck, attached the car to the back of it, and hit the road. Dorothy knew it was the best thing she could do for herself and her child, but she was nervous. She was uprooting her family so she could follow her dream. Tisha had already experienced so much loss, and Dorothy hoped this would not be a difficult adjustment for her daughter. Tisha seemed pretty anxious to move though, and she was looking forward to starting school at Eastland. Dorothy hoped Tisha would make some good friends, special friends, like she had done when she went there.
Dorothy turned on Samson Avenue. That was where their new house was. It was a great house. It had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a fenced in yard. After Thanksgiving, when Dorothy and Tisha had returned to LA, she had called several realtors looking for a place that would be perfect, but there was no luck. Every place was either too big or too small. Robert, her new business partner, had found this place and called to tell her about it. He sent her some pictures via e-mail. It was just what she was wanting and Tisha liked it too. So, Dorothy bought the house and prepared to move. As she pulled into the driveway, Dorothy thought about how much her life had changed in just a few short weeks. Here she was, back in Peekskill.
Chapter3
As the plane landed, Harper and Natalie looked into each other’s eyes. “I can’t believe we’re here,” she said. He put his arms around her and kissed her. “I can’t believe that in three days we will be husband and wife,” he flashed his sexy smile at his future wife. The couple got off the plane with the other passengers but they felt as though they were the only two people in the world.
They decided to take a cab to The Little Inn. They were both pretty anxious to get there and see what Blair had planned. Although Blair had called to ask what kinds of flowers they liked and what type of food they wanted served at the reception, Natalie knew that Blair would have outdone herself and she was hoping to have a small say in what her own wedding would be like.
By the time they arrived at the inn, it was past midnight. The only light was in the lobby. As they walked hand in hand up to the front door, Natalie turned to Harper. “Be prepared,” she said. They opened the door. The entire lobby was filled with wedding decorations. There were white chairs set up for the guests with pink silk ribbons tied to them. Even the ceiling was covered with decorations. “This is sooo not what I wanted,” Natalie sighed. “Why would she do this? I knew she would do this. I said ‘simple.’ I said ‘small.’ To Blair, this is a small and simple wedding!” Harper just laughed. “Well, you are the one who left her in charge.” Natalie playfully hit him on top of the head with her purse. Then they went to the front desk to check in.
Chapter4
Jo Polniaczek-Bonner was sitting at her kitchen table. In her hand, she held her invitation to Natalie’s wedding. She took a deep breath. “You have to do it Jo,” she said to herself. “You have to go. You can’t miss another get together. You just can’t.” She put her head in her hands and started to cry.
The next morning, Jamie found her mother still sitting at the kitchen table. “Are you okay Mom?” she asked. She had been worried about her mother for quite awhile. In September, without explanation, Jo had quit her job as a police officer. Then at Thanksgiving, she had refused to go to Peekskill and visit her friends. She had cancelled the airline reservations. Jamie and her dad Rick had taken the motorcycle and gone anyway, but not before Jo and Rick had a big fight. Jamie had heard bits and pieces of the argument. She heard her mother say, “You can’t take Jamie.” She heard her father say, “Jo, you need to get some help. We can’t live like this anymore.” Then she had left with her father. When they got to Peekskill, he told her to pretend like everything was okay. He told her to say her mother was working, even though she hadn’t had a job for two months. Jamie did what she was told, but she was scared. And now, seeing her mother like this, she was even more afraid. “Mom,” she repeated, “are you alright?” Jo looked up at her daughter. “Oh, yea Jamie,” she said, “I’m fine. But I’m afraid I have some bad news. We are not going to be able to go to Aunt Nat’s wedding.”

ZeldaGilroy 11-23-2001, 10:14 PM Chapter5
The morning sun was shining through the window. Blair rubbed her eyes and looked at her husband sleeping next to her. She loved him so much. She could not imagine not having him in her life. Tad opened his eyes. “Good morning beautiful,” he smiled at her and kissed her on the forehead. Blair grinned and twirled her hair with her fingers. “You know,” she said, “last night may have been the one.” “Oh, you think so huh,” Tad asked smiling. “I think we should keep trying, just to be sure.” They both laughed and slipped back under the covers.
Down stairs, Natalie and Harper were eating breakfast in the restaurant. “I just cannot believe her!” Natalie yelled. “I mean it is my wedding. Shouldn’t it be the way I want it to be?” Harper was eating his eggs and just staring at his fiancé. “Are you listening to me,” Natalie asked him. “I mean, it is your wedding too. Don’t you want to have a say in this?” Harper reached across the table and took her hand. “Babe,” he said, “I don’t care if we have a wedding with a million guests, or just a few. As long as you become my wife, nothing else matters.” Natalie smiled at him. “You’re right. I’m sorry. It’s just that Blair always does this stuff. I know she’s trying to help. It will be okay.”
Blair and Tad entered the dining room and spotted Natalie and Harper immediately. “So, may we join you?” Blair asked. Harper answered, “Of course.” Blair asked them what they thought of the decorations. “They are a bit elaborate,” Natalie answered. Then she looked at Harper, “but I guess they’ll be just fine.” “I knew you’d love it!” Blair said happily. Then the two couples ate breakfast together.
Chapter6
Dorothy and Tisha were both asleep on the living room floor. It had been so late when they arrived in Peekskill that they had not had time to unload the U-haul. Dorothy had wanted to go to a motel for the night, but Tisha wanted to spend the night in their new home. A knock on the door woke them up.
“Mom,” Tisha asked, “who could that be? We just moved here.” Dorothy walked to the door, and looked through the peek hole. “Robert?” she said. ‘What is he doing here?” She opened the door. “Hello there,” he said. “And how are you two lovely ladies this morning?” “We’re fine,” Dorothy answered, “but what are you doing here at 7:00 in the morning?”
Robert sat down on the floor with a box of donuts in his hands. “I thought you two might be hungry,” he replied. “Would you care to join me for breakfast?” “I will,” Tisha answered. “I’m starved.” Dorothy sat down with them. “You didn’t have to do this,” she said to Robert. “I know,” he said. “I wanted to do it. I can’t have my new partner and her only daughter wasting away now can I.” Dorothy laughed. “Well, thanks Robert.” She looked at Tisha. “Hurry up honey. We need to get over to the inn pretty soon to help Aunt Nat with the final wedding preparations.” “Oh yea,” Tisha said, “I almost forgot. It will be so much fun. When is Jamie getting here?” Dorothy smiled. “I am so glad you two have become friends. I think their plane will be landing sometime this evening. I can’t wait to see Jo again either. Funny, we all lived in LA for so long, but hardly ever saw each other.”
Chapter7
“Why can’t we go to the wedding?” Jamie asked her mother. “I really wanted to go. It was going to be a blast.” Jo knew how disappointed Jamie was. She really wanted to take her, but she just couldn’t. “Don’t you want to see Aunt Blair? She really missed you at Thanksgiving!” Jamie was almost crying. “Of course I want to see her, and Tootie and Natalie too,” Jo sighed. “Jamie, it’s just impossible. Your dad is gone on a concert tour, and I just don’t want to leave the house for that long. What if someone breaks in?”
Jamie did not believe her mother’s excuse for a minute. There were plenty of neighbors who could keep an eye on the house. She knew something was wrong. “It’s okay Mom,” she said. “I understand you don’t want to leave the house without someone to watch it.” Jamie walked up to her bedroom. She picked up the telephone and dialed her father’s cell phone. “Hello,” said the voice on the other end of the line. “Daddy,” Jamie cried. “Something is wrong with mom. She just told me we can’t go to Aunt Nat’s wedding and she gave me some lame excuse. You made me lie for her at Thanksgiving. I don’t want to lie anymore. I want to know the truth. I’m scared.” Rick listened to his daughter crying into the telephone. He knew he had to come home now. It would mean ditching the concert tour and losing all the money he was supposed to make. They needed the money, especially now that Jo had quit her job. “Don’t worry sweetie,” he said. “I’ll be home as soon as I can. I love you.”
Jo looked down at the wedding invitation again. How could she do this? Not show up for Natalie’s wedding. Break her daughter’s heart. She felt so guilty for what she was doing, but she couldn’t help it. She loved her friends. She loved her daughter. She almost talked herself into going, but something stopped her. Jo’s pulse was racing as she thought about flying to Peekskill. There was no way she could make herself go.

Chapter8
Dorothy and Tisha waved good-bye to Robert as he drove away from their new house. “He is really nice,” Tisha said to her mother. “Yes he is,” Dorothy agreed. “Now, lets get over to the inn.” Dorothy unhooked her car from the U-haul. “When we get home,” she said, “We’ll need to unload this stuff.”
Dorothy and Tisha were both surprised when they arrived at the inn. The decorations were so extravagant that Dorothy could not believe Natalie had approved of them. Natalie walked down the stairs and spotted her friend. “Tootie,” she screamed. ‘You’re here.” The two women exchanged a hug. “So,” Dorothy asked, “what is all of this?” “What do you think?” Natalie answered. “Blair?” Dorothy asked. Then they both laughed. “Well it could be worse,” Natalie told her. “She is at least going to let me wear my wedding dress and walk down the aisle. For a second there I thought she was going to make herself my stunt double!” They were still laughing when the door opened. They turned to see who was there. “Mrs. Garrett,” they both yelled in unison.
Blair was coming downstairs when she heard her friends. “Oh good, Mrs. Garrett is here,” she said. “Now we’re just waiting on Jo.” Mrs. Garrett walked into the inn. “Hello girls,” she said and gave each of them a hug. “I have a surprise for you.” “Really,” asked Natalie. “What is it?” Mrs. Garrett went to the door and motioned for someone to come in. A tall young man with reddish-brown hair appeared in the doorway. “Andy!” all three of them screamed. They ran up to him and gave him a hug. “It is so great to see you,” Natalie said. “Yea, what have you been up to?” Dorothy asked. “It’s great to see you guys too,” Andy said. “I’ve missed you all a lot. After my mom passed away last year, I just really haven’t been in contact with anyone.” “I was so sorry to hear about Beverly Ann,” Blair said. “ But I am glad you’re here.” Andy smiled, “So am I!”
Chapter9
Rick Bonner was sitting in his hotel room trying to decide what to do. He had just told his daughter he would come home, but he didn’t know how he was going to do so. He had made a commitment to this concert and they needed the money. He loved Jo so much, but he didn’t know why she had to be like this. It scared him. He felt like he was losing her. She wasn’t the same person anymore.
Rick picked up the telephone and dialed. “Hello, Little Inn,” a voice answered. “Is this Raymond?” Rick asked. “No, I’m sorry.” The man replied. “Raymond quit a few weeks ago. Mrs. Warner-Warner was more than he could handle.” As upset as he was, Rick had to smile at that. “Well, could I speak to Mrs. Warner-Warner?” he asked. “Of course,” the desk clerk replied. “May I tell her who is calling?” Rick answered him, “This is Rick Bonner.”
“Hello, Rick” Blair said into the telephone. “It’s too bad you can’t be here, but I guess you have to work. Did you call for Jo? They are not here yet. Their plane lands tonight.” Rick didn’t really know how to tell her. “Blair,” he said, “Jo and Jamie will not be at the wedding..” Blair was shocked. “Why? Is something wrong?” Rick was silent for a moment. “Yes Blair,” he answered. “Something is very wrong.”
ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 12:12 AM Here is a little more...
Chapter10
“Rick you’re scaring me!” Blair spoke softly into the phone. “What is wrong with Jo?” Rick felt almost as if he was betraying his wife, but he knew he had to do it. “Blair,” he said, “it’s complicated.” Blair was getting angry. She was scared and Rick was holding the truth from her. “What do you mean ‘complicated?’ Is she sick or something?” she asked.
“Not physically,” he answered. “It’s an emotional problem.” Rick began telling her the whole story. “Back in September, shortly after the terrorist attacks, Jo began to change. You know, she became a cop because she wanted to make a difference. I don’t know why she wanted to quit her social work, and to be honest, we fought quite a bit about her working at such a dangerous job, but you know Jo. She never loses a fight.” He paused a moment. “Well, anyway she comes to me one night and says ‘Rick you are right. My job is too dangerous. I’m quitting.’ I was floored. I mean she loved that job and now she’s just willing to quit. I tried to talk to her about it, but she really didn’t want to and I was actually glad she wanted to quit, so I dropped it.”
Blair was confused. “You mean she quit her job way back in September?” she asked. “I thought she had to work on Thanksgiving. That’s why she wasn’t here.”
“I lied to you, Blair.” Rick responded. “I’m sorry. I was really just covering for her.”
“Why didn’t she come?” Blair asked.
“I’m getting to that. You see, she quit her job. No one knew why, and I didn’t really want to get into it. But then, I would come home and find her just staring at the TV, crying at the latest news coverage of the attacks. She just wouldn’t turn away and she cried and cried over ‘all of those innocent people’ and how ‘no one could help them.’ It was like she felt guilty or something. I begged her to see somebody about the way she was feeling. All over the country people were having the same emotional breakdowns, but she wouldn’t go. She is just so independent, and she thought it would go away. It didn’t.” Rick stopped, took a breath, and continued.
“ Then when it was time for Thanksgiving, I found out she had cancelled our plane tickets without telling me. She said she was too scared to go. She couldn’t get on the plane and she didn’t want Jamie or me on a plane either. I tried everything, but she just cried. She was so emotionally drained by that point. She wasn’t thinking straight. I got angry. We had a fight. I left with Jamie and came to Peekskill on my own. When I got back, she told me she was sorry. She cried for an hour about how she was letting everybody down. She promised me she would go to the wedding, but Jamie just called and said that Jo told her they can’t come.”
“She’s scared to get on the plane?” Blair replied.
“I guess so,” Rick answered. “Blair, I don’t know what to do. She’s scared of everything. She is not the woman I married. I miss the Jo I fell in love with, and Jamie misses her mother.”
“It will be okay, Rick.” Blair’s voice was shaky as she spoke. “I’ll talk to Natalie and Dorothy. We’re going to figure this out. We’re going to help Jo.” She hung up the phone.

Chapter11
Blair walked into the dining room where everyone had gathered for coffee. Mrs. Garrett was telling everyone about her latest adventure. They were all glued to the conversation and laughing. Blair hated to spoil their fun, but she had to tell them about Jo. She walked up to the table. “Hey everybody,” she said. ‘We need to talk.”
Natalie could tell by Blair’s expression that something was really wrong. “What’s the matter?” she asked.
“Well,” Blair answered. “Rick just called me. Jo and Jamie are not coming to the wedding.”
“Oh man!” Andy was truly disappointed. “I haven’t seen her in so long.”
“I can’t believe it,” Dorothy said. “How could she do that to Natalie. We’re all supposed to be best friends. Don’t tell me she has to work again. I mean Thanksgiving was one thing, but this is a wedding. You don’t just miss a wedding!”
“Now wait a minute,” Blair tried to continue.
“No, don’t go and defend her,” Natalie said. “She can be so selfish. I was counting on her to be one of my bride’s maids. I was at her wedding. She was at everyone else’s weddings. Why can’t she come to mine? There is no excuse.”
“Natalie,” Mrs. Garrett jumped in. “Calm down. Maybe Jo has a good reason.”
“She does,” Blair looked down at the floor. “She’s sick.” She looked up at her friends, tears running down her face. The room was silent as minds raced thinking about what could be wrong with Jo. Finally someone spoke up.
“What’s wrong with Aunt Jo?” Tisha asked. Her face showed how scared she was. “Is she going to die…like Daddy?” Tisha laid her head on her mother’s shoulder and began to sob.

ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 11:38 AM Chapter12
Blair looked at Tisha. She hadn’t thought that perhaps she should not have brought this up in front of her. “She’s not going to die, Tisha,” Blair answered. “I promise you that.” Tisha did not really seem satisfied with that answer, nor did anyone else at the table.
“Tisha baby,” Dorothy spoke softly, “Why don’t you go find something to do? We’ll talk about this more later.”
“I want to know what’s going on now!” Tisha said.
Dorothy gave Blair a stern look. “Alright Tish, I suppose you can stay. You’ve heard enough already.”
Natalie was feeling guilty for the things she had said about Jo. “Well, what is wrong with her?” she asked.
“Rick said she is having an emotional breakdown.” Blair could not contain her emotions and started to cry harder. “He says she’s not the same person anymore.”
“I don’t believe it…” Natalie’s voice trailed off. “How could something like this happen to Jo? She is the most independent and stable person I know.”
“He said it all stemmed from the terrorist attacks in September. She quit her job. She refused to come for Thanksgiving because she was scared to fly. He says she is afraid of anything and everything now.” Blair could not understand how this could happen to Jo of all people.
“Jo is not like that,” Mrs. Garrett spoke up. “How could this have happened?”
“Well, I think I understand part of it,” Dorothy spoke up. “A few weeks ago we did a show about this. Those attacks were meant to change our way of life, make us afraid to live. It affected everybody, but most people have been able to go on and face their fears. Some people have not been able to.” Dorothy looked at all of her friends. “The psychiatrist on the show said that it was particularly hard for people who were used to being in control. People who felt almost invincible. He said that these people were being forced to face their own mortality and some of them just could not face it. We had a man on the show that had not left his house since September 11. We had to broadcast from his house via satellite.”
“Oh my,” Mrs. Garrett could not believe her ears. “At least Jo hasn’t gone that far, has she?’
“Not yet,” Blair answered, “But Rick is really worried. She wouldn’t get any help when this first started and now I think she may be to scared to get help.”
“Poor Jo,” Andy replied. “I know part of what she’s going through. When my mom died, I felt like my life was over. I saw a therapist who helped me get back on my feet. But it was hard to make that first move.”
“Well we have to find a way to help her.” Blair looked at Natalie and Harper. “I’m sorry guys, but I’m not going to be here for the wedding. I am going to L.A. I have to help Jo. I have to be there for her. I hope you understand.”
Chapter13
“Of course we understand, Blair,” Natalie answered. “But I think maybe we should just postpone the wedding. Jo needs all of us right now.”
“You can’t postpone the wedding,” Blair sounded surprised. “I went to all of this trouble and I don’t know if we could get the same caterer at a later date.”
“Blair, it’s okay.” Natalie answered. “Maybe you should call and cancel everything. Harper and I really are not into all of this fancy stuff. It doesn’t even seem like our wedding anymore.”
Blair was shocked. She thought Natalie loved the wedding preparations. “You mean you don’t like what I’ve planned?”
Natalie did not want to hurt Blair’s feelings. “It’s just not us. You understand, don’t you?”
“I guess,” Blair answered. “Well, if we are all going to L.A., I guess I better make some airline reservations.”
“You know,” Mrs. Garrett replied, “I think someone should stay here. You know to cancel plans and call the guests. Andy and I could do it.”
“Sure we could,” Andy said. “Besides, it has been awhile since I’ve been in Peekskill. Maybe I’ll look up some old friends.”
“Would you mind keeping an eye on Tisha?” Dorothy asked.
“Of course not,” Mrs. Garrett answered. “I’d love to watch her.”
“No!” Tisha yelled at her mother. “I’m going. If something is wrong with Aunt Jo, then Jamie needs a friend too. If you’re going to be there for your friend, I am going to be there for mine!”
Dorothy looked at her daughter and suddenly realized how grown up her baby was becoming. “Okay Tisha,” she smiled. “You can come too.”

ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 12:17 PM Here is some more. I'm trying to post as soon as I finish writing. Maybe I'll get finished with the whole thing today. I have had four days off of work because of Thanksgiving and to be honest I've been pretty bored. That is why I started writing this in the first place. Tomorrow is my final day off, so I promise if it is not done today, it will be tomorrow! Enjoy!
Chapter14
Blair was upstairs calling the airline. She had to get enough tickets for everyone and money was no object. She spoke to several different people, but everyone said the same thing. “We’re sorry, but we’re booked. It is just to close to New Year’s Day and many people are traveling.”
She did not know what to do. They could rent a car and drive to L.A., but that would take a few days, and Blair wanted to be there now. Just then, there was a knock at the door. “Come in” Blair sighed.
Natalie appeared in the doorway. “Any luck?” she asked.
“None,” Blair answered. “What are we going to do now?”
“Well,” Natalie smiled. “Harper and I thought maybe he could fly us there.”
Blair had not even thought of that. “That is a terrific idea!” she shouted. “Let’s get ready.”
“Tootie and Tisha went back to their new house to get some things and Harper and I are already packed.” Natalie said. “He thinks we can leave by 2:00.”
“Sounds great,” Blair answered. “And Nat, I’m sorry I ruined your wedding. You know me, I just can’t back off.”
“It’s fine Blair,” Natalie smiled. “Harper and I were just talking about maybe going to LasVegas. We’ll still have our wedding.”
Blair watched as Natalie left the room. She hoped this trip would be worth the effort. She needed Jo to be okay. She needed her best friend.
ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 12:52 PM Chapter15
Dorothy was pulling into her driveway when her cell phone began to ring. “Hello,” she answered. There was no response on the other end of the line. “Hello…” she said again. “Tootie,” Jo’s voice was soft, but came through clearly.
“Jo?” Dorothy asked.
“Yea, it’s me.” Jo answered. Then she paused for a moment. “I just wanted to call and let you all know that Jamie and I can’t make it to the wedding. I found your cell number, so I just thought I would call you instead of calling the inn and having them try to hunt you guys down. I know you must be pretty busy with the wedding preparations.”
“Jo,” Dorothy paused for a moment, unsure of what she should say. “Nat and Harper are postponing the wedding. You are not missing anything. Are you sure you’re okay though? You sound like something is bothering you.” Dorothy hoped that Jo would open up to her.
“I’m fine,” Jo tried to sound happy. “I think I’ve just got the flu or something. Well, let me know when the wedding is going to be. We’ll be there.” Jo hung up the phone.
Dorothy did not know what to think. Should she have told Jo that they knew the truth? Should she have told her they were flying to L.A.? She was so confused by all of this. Dorothy and Tisha got out of the car. They walked to the U-haul to take out some things for the trip. When Dorothy opened the door, she gasped.
“MOM!” Tisha screamed. “Where is our stuff?”
The U-haul was empty. “Someone must have stolen our things.” Dorothy slammed her hand down on the truck. “This is just great!” she yelled. “I move from L.A. to Peekskill just to get robbed and lose everything.” Just then the door to the house opened. Dorothy looked up to see Robert coming out of the house.
“What is all the commotion about?” he asked.
“We’ve been robbed, that’s what!” Dorothy answered sharply. “And what are you doing here anyway?”
Robert smiled at Dorothy. “Calm down,” he said. “You haven’t been robbed. I just thought you could use some help so I unloaded the moving truck. Your neighbors have been helping me. They are all very nice people. We’ve been working all morning.”
“Where did you get a key to my house?” Dorothy asked. She knew Robert was trying to be helpful, but she felt he had violated her privacy.
“You left the door unlocked,” he said. “I’m sorry. I was just trying to help.”
Dorothy calmed down. “It’s okay. I’m sorry. Thank you for the help. It’s just that Tisha and I have to get ready to fly back to L.A. Everyone is going.” Dorothy began to cry. “Our friend, Jo. She is having a lot of problems right now. We need to be there for her. Nat and Harper have postponed the wedding. I’m just under so much stress right now.”
Robert put his arms around Dorothy to console her. She started to pull away, but it felt nice to have someone comfort her. She needed a shoulder to cry on.

ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 03:05 PM Chapter16
After Jo hung up the telephone, she called for Jamie to come downstairs. She wanted to try to explain to her daughter why they could not go to Peekskill. She knew Jamie must hate her for ruining their plans.
“What is it Mom?” Jamie asked as she walked down the stairs.
Jo looked at her daughter and smiled. She loved her child more than anything else in the world and she was proud of the young woman she was becoming. “Come here Jamie,” she said as she motioned for the girl to sit next to her. “I just called and talked to your Aunt Tootie…Dorothy…whatever name she’s using now. Anyway, I told her we couldn’t make it.”
Jamie looked down at the floor. It was official. They were not going. “Mom,” she said, “Can ask you something?”
“Sure sweetie,” Jo answered her daughter.
“What is wrong with you?” Jamie did not intend to be so blunt with her mother, but she wanted to know the truth. “Are you sick or something? My friend Kady from school, her mom started acting all weird and stuff, and then she told Kady she had cancer. She died last year. Are you going to die? I don’t want you to die! I need you!” Jamie was crying hysterically by now. She put her arms around her mother’s neck and would not let go. These thoughts and fears had been building up for a long time and she just couldn’t control it anymore. She was scared.
Jo didn’t know what to say. She did not know that her behavior had changed that much, so much that her own daughter was being affected like this. “Oh honey,” Jo hugged her daughter, “I’m not going to die. I don’t have cancer or any other disease. Baby, stop crying. I promise you I will be around for a long time.” Jo kissed Jamie on the cheek. She hated herself for what she had done to her daughter. She knew she had to fix this, somehow.
ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 03:29 PM I'm on a roll now. Here's the next chapter...
Chapter17
Blair was packing bags for herself and Tad when the door opened. She looked up to see her husband standing there and she smiled at him. “Are you going to be alright,” he asked her, knowing how hard all of this was on her.
“Of course,” she said. “Jo’s my best friend. I’m going to make sure she’s okay, and then everything can go back to normal.” She tried to believe the words she heard coming from her mouth, but she knew there was a chance Jo might never be the same again. She tried to put that thought out of her mind.
Tad smiled at her. “So, have you taken the test yet?” he asked her.
Blair knew what he was talking about. Every two weeks she had been taking a pregnancy test to see if by chance there was going to be little Warner pitter-pattering around. Each time she had been disappointed. “I haven’t done it yet.” She said. “With all that’s going on, I think I would rather wait.” She didn’t think she could take another disappointment right now.
“Come on Blair,” Tad put his arms around her waist. “Don’t you want to see if all our hard work has paid off.” He laughed and kissed her. “It might make Jo feel better if when we get there you can tell her she’s going to be an aunt.”
“I guess you’re right,” she said. Blair went into the bathroom and opened the medicine cabinet. She pulled out the pregnancy test and followed the directions. She had to wait five minutes, so she set the timer and went back to the bedroom to finish packing.
“I know it will be positive this time,” Tad was grinning at his wife. “We will make the best parents.” Blair smiled back at him. Then she heard the timer buzz.
********************************************
Next post you'll get to find out if Blair is pregnant or not! I know you just can't wait. HAHAHA!

ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 04:59 PM Chapter18
Blair walked into the bathroom. She knew the drill…two dots positive, one dot negative. She looked at the test laying on the cabinet and held her breath. She picked it up and looked at the results. Then she slowly sank to the floor, tears streaking down her face as she stared at that one single dot.
Tad walked into the bathroom and saw his wife sitting on the floor, her knees pulled up to her chin, and her face stained with tears. “It will be fine,” he tried to comfort her. “Next time, we’ll have a baby, next time.” He wanted to promise her, but he knew he couldn’t.
Blair looked up at him, “Tad,” she whispered. “I don’t want to talk about this now.” She stood up and walked into the bedroom. She started to pick up their suitcases, “We need to get going.”
“But Blair,” Tad tried to talk to her.
“It’s just too hard right now, Tad,” Blair was trying to hold back her tears and she felt a lump in her throat. “Let’s go.”
Chapter19
Everyone arrived at the airport on time. Blair and Tad hadn’t spoken to each other since the incident in the bedroom, and their silence was very noticeable. Harper and Natalie were anxious to go, and Dorothy and Tisha showed up accompanied by Robert. “Do you guys mind if Robert goes along?” Dorothy asked. “We have a lot of work to do preparing for the opening of the Peekskill Playhouse. We thought we could work on the plane.”
Natalie and Blair glanced a suspicious look at each other. “I guess it’s alright.” Natalie said. “Sure,” Blair replied. They began to board the plane and Natalie whispered in her friend’s ear, “Tootie Ramsey, what is going on between the two of you?” Dorothy did not really know how to answer that question. She wasn’t sure herself. “I don’t know Nat,” she replied. “But when I do, you’ll be the first to know.”
The plane ride was uneventful. They mostly just talked about old times and laughed. Blair was the quietest and everyone was concerned about her. “Are you okay, Blair?” Dorothy asked her.
Blair looked at her. “Of course,” she said. “I’m just anxious to get there and see Jo.” It was really more than just the Jo situation that had silenced the usually upbeat Blair Warner, but she really didn’t want to go into the whole baby thing now.
"We’re all worried about Jo,” Natalie said. “But I think everything will turn out fine.” Natalie hoped she was right. As the plane landed, they were all wondering what they were going to do to get the old Jo back.

ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 07:40 PM Chapter20
Jamie Bonner had been laying on her bed for over an hour. The conversation she had had with her mother earlier that day was still on her mind. She always tried to be tough and stay strong, but she had always followed her mother’s example. Now, she did not know where to turn. If her mom wasn’t sick, what was wrong with her? She was tired of being treated like a child. She deserved to know the truth.
Jamie walked down stairs. Jo was sitting in the living room. The television was on, but Jo really wasn’t watching it. She was staring out the window. Jamie interrupted her mother’s thoughts. “Mom,” she whispered the word, but it broke through the silence so sharply that Jo jerked her head around quickly.
“Oh, hi Jamie,” Jo smiled a weak smile at her daughter. “Come over here. I need to tell you something.” Jamie walked over and sat next to her mom.
“Jamie,” Jo began the difficult discussion. “You’re almost thirteen, and it’s time I started treating you that way. I can’t protect you from everything forever.”
“Mom,” Jamie began. “Are you going to tell me what’s going on with you?”
“Jamie, honey, I don’t really know what is going on.” Jo paused for a moment. “I just feel so sad and upset all the time. Nothing makes me happy, and I don’t know why?”
“Are you mad at me?” Jamie asked. She knew she could get on her mother’s last nerve and did so quite often. “Or Dad, did he do something?”
“Oh no, Jamie. It has nothing to do with you or your Dad.” Jo did not know how to explain what she was feeling. “Jamie, you know how much I love both of you. Don’t ever think this is your fault. It is no ones fault. It’s just something inside me and I don’t know how to get rid of it.”
“What are you going to do?” Jamie asked.
“I’ll think of something,” Jo said. “I promise. But until then, will you just bear with me?”
“Mom,” Jamie was unsure of what she should say next. “Mom, I called Dad. I told him how upset you are. I asked him to come home.”
“Jamie,” Jo was not really angry with her daughter because she knew how scared Jamie must be, but she also knew how much Rick needed this job. “Baby, your dad can’t come home right now. He has to work. We need the money. I’m going to have to call him ad tell him to stay put.” Jamie nodded her head. Jo picked up the phone, but before she could dial, she was distracted by the sound of a car pulling into the driveway.
Jamie looked out the window. What she saw, at last gave her some hope.

Chapter21
The taxi pulled into Jo’s driveway. Blair, Natalie, Dorothy, and Tisha were inside. The men had all stayed back at the hotel so as not to intrude. As they got out of the cab, Blair tipped the driver and looked up to see Jamie peeking out the window. She gave her a smile as they all walked onto the porch.
“Who is out there?” Jo asked her daughter.
“It’s a surprise!” Jamie smiled at her mom.
“Jamie Rose Bonner,” Jo laughed for the first time in awhile. “What are you up to now?”
“It wasn’t me,” Jamie answered. “I swear.”
Jo walked over to the door just as the doorbell rang. She opened it and stared into the faces of her dearest friends. “What on earth are you doing here?” She was more shocked than anything.
“Well isn’t that a warm welcome.” Blair reached out and hugged her friend. “We came to see you!”
“That’s right,” Natalie said. “If you won’t come to us, we just have to come to you.”
“Tootie,” Jo responded. “I talked to you earlier and you didn’t say anything about this.”
“It was a secret,” Tootie said.
“Since when can you keep a secret?” Jo asked.
“Well, there’s a first time for everything,” Tootie laughed. “Aren’t you going to invite us in?”
“Oh, of course,” Jo said, still unsure why her friends had come all this way. She led them into the living room where everyone sat down.
“Mom,” Jamie said. “Tisha and I are going to go upstairs. Alright.”
“Sure,” Jo said. “You two have fun.” She hoped her daughter would have a better evening than she felt she was going to have. Deep down something told her that her friends knew the truth. Something told her things would never be the same.

Okay, I have to get back to writing now. Just wanted to give you guys a little more to read. I hope you liked it!
ZeldaGilroy 11-24-2001, 08:43 PM Chapter22
Jo looked at her friends sitting and talking in her living room. She hated to be so abrupt, but she wanted the truth. “Okay,” she said. “Enough is enough. Is someone going to tell me the truth?”
“What do you mean,” Natalie asked.
“Why are you here? Why did you postpone your wedding, fly clear across the country, just to visit me?” Jo sounded sarcastic, but she didn’t mean to. She just wanted an honest answer.
“Rick called,” Blair said. Before she could go on, she was interrupted.
“I’m going to kill him!” Jo screamed. “What did he say to you? Did he tell you all about how crazy I am? Did he tell you that he doesn’t love me anymore? Did he tell you what a lousy mother I am to Jamie?”
“Jo, calm down,” Dorothy said.
“Do not tell me to calm down, Tootie.” Jo shouted. “I’m not some guest on your corny talk show. I’m supposed to be your friend…your friend whose husband tells you a totally unbelievable lie, and you all just believe him.”
“Jo,” Blair was frightened by her friend’s unpredictable behavior. “Rick didn’t say any of those things. He said that he loves you a lot, but he’s scared. Jamie is scared too, Jo.”
“We are all concerned about you Jo,” Natalie said. She put her hand on Jo’s shoulder, but Jo jerked away from her. “We want to help you.”
“I don’t need your help!” Jo’s voice was quivering as she spoke. She was trying to hold back the tears she felt welling up inside her. “I am fine.”
“Jo,” Blair confronted her friend, “if you’re fine, then why didn’t you come at Thanksgiving?”
“You know I had to work,” Jo replied hoping they would believe her.
“No you didn’t!” Blair shouted. “I know you quit your job months ago. And why didn’t you come to Natalie’s wedding? Huh? Do you even have an excuse for that?”
Jo stood there in silence. They knew the truth. She couldn’t hide it any longer. She put her head in her hands as she felt the tears fall down her face.

Jo had been sitting in that same position for what seemed like hours, but was in reality only a few minutes. Blair walked over to her and put her arm around her. “It’s going to be alright,” she whispered. Jo looked up at her.
“It’s not going to be alright,” Jo responded in a voice muffled by her tears. “I don’t know how to make it alright.” She began to cry even harder.
“Jo,” Dorothy spoke softly, “We are going to help you. We are going to help you make everything okay again, if you’ll let us.”
Jo looked up and nodded at Dorothy. “I have hurt so many people. Rick, you guys, Jamie…Oh God what have I done to her? She is so scared I’m going to die. I did that to my baby. I am a horrible mother.” Jo began to cry again.
“You’re not a bad mom,” Natalie told her. “Jamie loves you and needs you. You need to get better so you can take care of her.”
“I know,” Jo said. “I’m just so scared. What if I’ve lost her and Rick forever? They deserve someone better than me. I’m just not the same person anymore.”
Blair took Jo’s hand in hers. “They love you,” she said. “They need you. You haven’t lost them.”
Jo looked at her friends. “I don’t know where to begin,” she said. “Please help me!” She began sobbing again as Blair put her arms around her.

Blair reached for her purse and took out a piece of paper. "This is the name of a psychiatrist, Dr. Jacobson. He helped my mother when she was dealing with her breast cancer. He really made a difference in her life. After Rick called me, I called Dr. Jacobson. He said he would see you."
Jo looked at the number and address on the piece of paper. “Blair,” she sighed, “This address is in New York.”
“I know,” Blair replied. “You and Jamie can come back with us tomorrow. I think you should both stay with Tad and me for awhile, at least until Rick's concert tour is over. Jamie can go to school at Eastland or the local middle school, whichever you prefer."
“I can’t go to New York, Blair.” Jo said. “I just can’t get on that plane. Just thinking about it makes my pulse race.” Jo began to breath deeply and she was shaking. “Please don’t make me,” she was crying and pleading as if she were a child trying to get her own way.
“Calm down, Jo,” Blair said. “Dr. Jacobson said you would do this. He told me I shouldn’t force you. We’ll rent a van and drive back. It will take a few days, but it will be okay.”
“You guys don’t mind doing that?” Jo asked.
“Actually, it all works out,” Natalie smiled. “That way we can stop in LasVegas and Harper and I can get married.”
“Oh, Nat,” Jo said, “I am so sorry I ruined your wedding.”
Natalie looked at Blair. “Believe me Jo, this was all for the best.”
“Yes,” Blair smirked. “Natalie would rather be married at the All Night Casino and Wedding Chapel than at my inn, with the beautiful ceremony I planned.”
“You’re right about that,” Natalie laughed. They all joined in. Even Jo managed to crack a smile.

ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 12:13 AM You've asked for it, so here it is. More...
Chapter25
It was getting late. Everyone decided that since they would have to leave bright and early in the morning, they should be getting to bed. “I guess we should get back to the hotel,” Dorothy said. Natalie agreed.
“I think I’ll stay here,” Blair said. “I mean if Jo doesn’t mind.” She looked at her friend.
“You don’t have to Blair,” Jo said. “I’ll be okay without you.”
“I know,” Blair replied, “But I want to.” She was worried about Jo, but the main reason she wanted to stay was so she would not have to go to the hotel and face Tad. She looked at Natalie and Dorothy. "Will you two explain to Tad?” she asked.
Dorothy nodded. “I guess I better get Tisha.” She went over to the stairs. “Tish, we’re ready to go.”
A voice echoed down the stairs, “But Mom, we’re busy up here!” Tisha yelled down. “We’re listening to CDs.”
“Tisha NaTalia Williams,” Dorothy yelled. “Get down here now!” Tisha came down. Jamie followed her. “We have to get up bright and early.” Dorothy said to her daughter. “Now lets go.”
“Alright,” Tisha sighed. “Hey. I have a great idea! Can Jamie come back to the hotel with us?”
“If she wants to and it’s okay with her mom,” Dorothy answered, “It is alright with me.”
“Uhm,” Jamie looked around at everyone in the room. "I think I’ll just stay here with my mom.”
Jo looked at her daughter. “It is okay, Jamie,” she said. “You can go with Tisha. Aunt Blair is going to stay with me tonight, and tomorrow we’re going to New York and stay with her and Tad.”
“Really,” Jamie sounded surprised at the news.
“Yes, really,” Jo answered. “Everything is going to be okay now.” Jo smiled at the relief on her daughter’s face.
Chapter26
When Dorothy, Natalie, and the two girls arrived back at the hotel, they were all exhausted. “I’ll go tell Tad that Blair stayed with Jo,” Natalie said. “ Then I am going to sleep.” She walked to Tad’s room and knocked on the door. He opened it and looked rather surprised to see Natalie standing there.
“Oh, Hi,” he said. “Where is my wife?”
“She decided to stay the night with Jo,” Natalie told him. “She wanted me to let you know, but she said you would understand.”
“Of course,” Tad said. He wondered if Jo was the real reason Blair had not come back to the hotel. This was the first night since Thanksgiving that they would be apart. “How is Jo?” he asked.
“Not good,” Natalie answered honestly. “But I think she’ll be okay.”
“Is she coming back with us?” Tad asked.
“I didn’t think she would,” Natalie answered, “But Blair talked her into it.”
“That’s my wife,” Tad smiled. “She can do anything.”
Natalie walked back to her room. She unlocked the door, got into bed, and went to sleep.
Chapter27
Dorothy unlocked the door to her room. She and the girls were ready for bed quickly. They were all exhausted after the day’s events. She was almost asleep when she heard a tap at the door. She grabbed her robe and went to answer it.
“What are you doing here?” she asked when she saw Robert at the door. “Do you even own a watch? It’s late.”
“I know,” he said. “But I wanted to make sure you were alright. How is your friend?”
Dorothy walked into the hall with Robert, leaving the door slightly ajar. “I’m fine,” she answered him, “and Jo’s going to be fine.”
“I was worried about you,” he said. “I know you have been through a lot and I want you to know I’ll be here for you.”
“Thanks Robert,” Dorothy paused, “but I’m not ready for this.”
“You’re not ready for a friendship?” Robert asked.
“This is developing into more than a friendship, Robert,” Dorothy said, “and you know it. Jeff has only been gone for a couple of years. I’m just not sure I’m ready to move on yet. I’m not sure Tisha is ready.”
“I understand,” he smiled at her. “Just remember that I still want to be your friend, and more.” Robert touched her shoulder, looked into her eyes and walked away.
Inside the room, Tisha and Jamie were whispering to each other. “What is all that about?” Jamie asked her friend. Tisha answered, “Oh nothing,” she said. “Robert is my mom’s new boyfriend. She just doesn’t know it yet.” They both laughed and went to sleep.

Chapter28
Blair and Jo were both tired, but neither of them could fall asleep. They were sitting in the kitchen drinking coffee, which didn’t help. “Blair,” Jo spoke suddenly, “I’m glad you came here. I’m glad Rick called you.”
Blair took a sip from her coffee cup, “Me too,” she said. “But I wish you had called me. I shouldn’t have had to hear this from Rick. We’ve never really kept secrets from one another.”
“I know,” Jo replied. “I am sorry. I was just so scared about what was happening to me. I didn’t know what to do.”
“I can understand that,” Blair said. She began to think about her own problem. What was she going to do? Jo noticed her friend’s silence. “Is something wrong, Blair?” she asked.
Blair looked up. “Oh, no,” she answered, “I’m fine. I guess my mind is just wandering.”
Blair knew that Jo did not believe her. Even with her own problems, Jo had a knack for figuring out when other people were hurting. “I thought we didn’t keep secrets?” Jo asked her.
“It’s really not important,” Blair said. “I don’t want to concern you with it.”
Jo looked at Blair’s face and knew her friend needed to tell someone what was going on. “It won’t push me over the edge,” she said, “I promise. Now what is wrong?”
“Tad wants to have a baby,” Blair said.
“And you don’t want to?” Jo questioned.
“I do want to. I’ve always wanted children. You know that,” Blair was trying to keep herself from crying. “We’ve been trying, but I’m not pregnant yet. I think maybe there is something wrong with me.”
Jo knew this had to be painful for Blair. "Well,” she asked, “How long have you been trying?”
“Six weeks.” Blair mumbled.
“Well Blair,” Jo sounded surprised, “that’s not very long. Don’t give up hope yet. It could still happen.”
“How long did you and Rick try before you had Jamie?” Blair asked.
Jo smiled as she remembered that day she had found out she was going to have a baby. “We didn’t try,” she said. “Don’t you remember. Jamie was a surprise!”
Blair couldn’t believe she had forgotten that. She laughed a little as she remembered the day Jo had come to her and told her she thought she was pregnant. Jo was a mess that day. She had been so nervous about telling Rick that she had told Blair first. “Oh right,” Blair said, “How could I have forgotten that?” They both laughed at the memory.
“Jo,” Blair asked. “What if it doesn’t happen? What if I can’t have a baby?”
“You’re jumping to conclusions…” Jo began, but Blair cut her off.
“But what if I can’t?” Blair asked again.
“You could adopt,” Jo suggested. “Pregnancy is not all fun and games you know. At least if you adopt a baby you won’t have any stretch marks.” Jo laughed a little.
“I guess you’re right,” Blair said. “Hey, do you remember when you were pregnant with Jamie and Rick was gone on that six month concert tour, so you stayed with me and Beverly Ann at the old house?”
“How could I forget?” Jo answered.
“I seriously thought you were never going to stop throwing up.” Blair laughed.
“You weren’t the only one,” Jo responded. “I swore up and down that child hated me. I was sick the whole time I was pregnant with her.”
“Jo,” Blair spoke almost in a whisper, “it’s worth it when you see that tiny little person you brought into the world, isn’t it?”
Jo was silent a moment. “Yea, it is.” She answered.
“I have to have a baby,” Blair told her.
“I know you do,” Jo replied. Then they both went to bed.

ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 07:19 AM Chapter29
The next day, nine people loaded into a twelve-passenger van and headed for LasVegas. Natalie gazed into Harper’s eyes. “This is our wedding day,” she smiled. He grinned back at her. “I know,” he said. Then they kissed.
The drive to LasVegas took a little longer that they had planned, but finally they arrived. There were wedding chapels everywhere. Finally Natalie and Harper found one they both liked. The sign was a big neon heart that flashed the words “Always and Forever.” The couple went in and spoke to the man at the front desk. They made an appointment to get married in one hour. The man showed them to some changing rooms down the hall from the actual wedding chapel where they could change into their wedding clothes.
Harper was dressed in black slacks and a blue dress shirt. He didn’t have a tie, but left the top button undone on his shirt. Natalie wore a creamed colored dress that she had picked out. It was simple, but that was what she wanted. When it was time for the wedding to begin, all of the guests took their seats as the bride and groom walked down the aisle.
“Do you Harper, take this woman Natalie…” the ceremony began.
Dorothy was wiping tears from her eyes. She was so happy for Natalie. Her best friend had found her own true love. Robert looked at Dorothy sitting next to him with tears of joy in her eyes. He put his arm around her. This time, Dorothy didn’t even think of pulling away.
Blair and Tad were holding hands as they watched their friends get married. They were both remembering their own wedding that seemed so long ago. Tad reached over and kissed Blair on the cheek. She smiled at him.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife.” The ceremony was over, and everyone clapped as the couple kissed.
Chapter30
Natalie and Harper decided to stay in LasVegas for a few days so they could have a honeymoon. They would fly back to New York later in the week. The rest of the group took off, and after days of riding in the cramped van, they made it to Peekskill.
They entered The Little Inn to find all of the wedding decorations gone, and Mrs. Garrett in complete control of everything. “Oh,” she said when they came in. “I am so glad you’re back. Is everything okay? Where is Jo?”
“I’m here Mrs. G.” Jo replied. Then the two hugged each other.
“Jo, I am so glad you came to New York. Blair’s doctor friend will help you. I know it.” Mrs.Garrett was relieved that Jo had come.
“I hope he can,” Jo said softly. Then she took her bags upstairs.

ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 08:33 AM Here is a little bit more. You wouldn't believe how much I enjoy writing this thing. I got up at 5:00 this morning just to try to finish it up before church. Anyway, here you go...
Chapter31
Robert was driving Dorothy and Tisha back to their new house. All was silent in the car, until they turned on Samson Avenue. “I really appreciate this,” Dorothy said to him.
“Appreciate what?” Robert asked. He smiled at Dorothy and she smiled back at him.
“All you’ve done for me,” she answered. “Thanks for being there. It’s been so long since someone has been there.” She laid her head over on his shoulder.
When they got to the house, Tisha was asleep in the back seat. Dorothy woke her up. Groggy-eyed, Tisha walked into the house and into her new bedroom. Dorothy looked at Robert. “Well,” she said, “Thanks for the ride.” She started to open the door, but Robert’s hand reached out to stop her. He put his arms around her, and kissed her passionately.
“Would you mind,” he asked. “If maybe I just stayed the night?”
Dorothy was shocked. She had not expected this. She didn’t know what to say. “Robert,” she began, “I like you…a lot.” She paused for a moment. “We just can’t. I mean Tisha is in there. I can’t set an example like that for my daughter. I hope you understand.”
Robert understood, but he thought maybe it was more than just Tisha. He didn’t want to pry. He kissed her, got into his car and left. Dorothy walked up to her porch. As she opened the door, she began to think about Jeff and all he had meant to her. By the time she made it to bed, the tears had already come.

ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 10:26 AM Chapter32
Blair and Tad were in bed. Blair had been pretending she was asleep for what seemed like an eternity. Tad was just staring at her. “Blair,” he said. “I know you’re awake. Are you going to talk to me about this?” he asked.
Blair slowly turned around and looked him in the eye. “What can I say?” she asked. “I feel like my dream is lost. I’ve let you down.” She began to sob into her pillow.
Tad put his hand on her back. He wasn’t sure what to say. “Sweetheart,” he whispered. “I love you. You have never let me down. We’re going to do this. We’ll have a baby. Maybe we should see a specialist, I mean if you are really worried.”
Blair listened to husband’s words. She knew he loved her now, but what would happen if she could never get pregnant? She didn’t want to put him through that. She didn’t want to put herself through that. “What if something is wrong, Tad?” she questioned. “What if there is no baby I our future?”
“It’s only been six weeks Blair,” he said.
“You sound like Jo,” Blair replied. “She told me the same thing.”
“You talked to her about this?” he asked. “Now, with everything going on in her life?”
“She drug it out of me,” Blair said. “Besides, I needed to talk to someone.”
“I know,” Tad answered, “But you could have talked to me.” He turned over and closed his eyes.

Chapter33
Jo was lying in bed, but she could not seem to go to sleep. This place was so strange to her. She glanced at Jamie, asleep in the bed next to hers. She loved her daughter so much and she hoped things would be better for them now. She got out of bed and walked over to desk on the other side of the room. She picked up the telephone and dialed.
“Hello?” a sleepy voice questioned.
“Rick,” Jo answered. “It’s me.”
“Jo,” Rick woke up immediately. “Are you alright? Is Jamie all right? I’ve been trying to call the house for days and your cell phone had been turned off. God, I’ve been scared to death.”
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I just couldn’t talk to you for awhile, but everything is fine.”
“Where are you?” he asked.
“Peekskill,” she answered. “Rick, I just can’t believe you called Blair and told her everything. I wanted to strangle you with my bare hands.”
“Honey,” Rick began. “I didn’t know what else to do. I know you’re mad…” Jo interrupted him.
“It’s okay Rick,” she said. “I’m not mad…anymore. You were right. I need some help. I just can’t believe what I’ve done to our marriage…to our daughter. I hope you will forgive me.” Jo was crying into the telephone.
Rick hated to hear her like this. “Don’t cry honey,” he said. “Everything is going to be fine.”
“I know,” Jo said. “I’m going to see a psychiatrist tomorrow. Some guy Blair’s mom used to go to. I hope it helps.”
“It will,” he answered. “I know it. I love you.”
“I love you too,” Jo told him. Then she hung up the phone and went to bed.
ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 11:30 AM Chapter33
The next morning, Blair woke up later than usual. Everything was quiet at the inn. She figured everyone must be downstairs eating breakfast. She picked up the telephone and dialed a number. “Yes,” she said into the phone. “I would like to make an appointment, for today if possible. Yes…that will be fine. Thank you.” She hung up the phone and went downstairs.
When Blair entered the dining room, she spotted Mrs. Garrett and Andy sitting at a corner table. Jo, Jamie and Tad were with them. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their breakfast, except for Jo, who was just pushing the food around on her plate. “Hey everyone,” Blair said. She kissed Tad and sat down. “Do you have room for one more?” “Of course we do,” Tad answered. He put his arm around her.
“Hurry up Jamie,” Jo told her daughter. “We need to get you to school. You don’t want to be late on your first day.”
“Aren’t you going to eat your food first, Mom?” Jamie asked.
Jo looked down at the food on her plate. “I guess I’m just not hungry,” she said. “Come on, we need to get you to Eastland.”
“This will be so cool,” Jamie said. “Tisha and I get to go to the same school our moms went to. Who would have ever thought?” She stood up from the table.
Andy stood up too and gave her a hug. “Aunt Edna and I will be gone by the time you get home,” he said. Jamie hugged him and then went over to Mrs. Garrett. She hugged her as well. “I wish you could stay longer,” she said.
Mrs. Garret smiled. “I know Jamie,” she said. “I wish I could too. But I’ll see you all again really soon.”
Jo got up from the table so she could take Jamie to school. She hugged Mrs. Garrett and Andy. “I’m going to miss you both,” she said. Then she and Jamie walked out the door.
Chapter34
Jo had borrowed Blair’s car to take Jamie to school. As she pulled through Eastland’s front gate, she felt an odd sense of nostalgia. She couldn’t believe it had been 18 years since she had gone to school there. She suddenly felt very old.
As Jo and Jamie were exiting the car, Dorothy and Tisha pulled up next to them. “So,” Dorothy asked Jamie. “Are you ready for your first day?”
“I guess,” Jamie answered. “What about you Tisha?”
“I’m definitely ready!” Tisha said with excitement. “But, won’t people think I’m strange, not living in the dorms and all?”
“Jamie’s not staying in the dorms either,” Jo said to Tisha. “You’re not the only one.”
“Mom,” Jamie said, “I think maybe she’s right. Maybe we should stay in the dorms. I mean, you guys stayed in the dorms when you went here.”
Jo looked at her daughter. The thought of losing her was more than she could handle. Dorothy could see the pain in Jo’s eyes. “Well,” Dorothy said. “Our parents didn’t live right here in Peekskill either.”
Suddenly Jamie realized what it meant for her mother to have her at home with her. “I guess you’re right,” she said. “I mean, I’m sure I’d miss my mom way too much anyway.” Jo hugged Jamie as they walked into the school.

Chapter35
When Jo got back to the inn, Blair was waiting for her. “So, did you get Jamie to school?” Blair asked.
“Yes,” Jo answered. “She loves it already. Tootie was there with Tisha too. She said she was going to pick Natalie and Harper up from the airport this afternoon and then they would all be over.”
“That’s nice,” Blair replied. “Are you ready to go into the city?” she asked looking at her friend.
Jo was beginning to feel very uneasy about this psychiatric evaluation Dr. Jacobson wanted to do. She was scared. What if he thought she was totally insane? What if he wanted to take her away from Jamie and Rick? Then she began to think about the train into New York. She hadn’t been on a train like that in years. The whole idea scared her to death and she began to shake just thinking about it.
Blair noticed how uneasy Jo was. “It will be okay,” she said to her friend. “I’m going to have my chauffeur drive us there.” She smiled. “I have an appointment today too.”
“You do?” Jo asked. “With whom?”
“Dr. Meyers,” Blair said. “She is a fertility specialist.” Jo and Blair smiled at each other as they walked out to the car.
Chapter36
The traffic was terrible as they drove into the city. Both women were silent, and Blair thought Jo looked as if she were almost sick with worry. “Are you okay?” she asked her. Jo looked at her friend. “I’ll be fine,” she said. “I just don’t feel very well. The ride is making me nauseous.”
Blair looked at Jo. “It’s probably just nerves,” she said. “Or maybe you’re the one who’s pregnant!” Blair was laughing and expected Jo to join in. When she didn’t, Blair was totally taken aback.
“Oh God, Jo,” she said. Jo just looked at her, tears welling up in her eyes. “Are you sure?” Blair asked.
Jo was silent for a moment. “Yea, I went to the doctor last week to be sure,” she said. “This is all I need now, isn’t it?”
“Does Rick know?” Blair asked her.
“No,” Jo said. “I called him last night. I wanted to tell him, but I just couldn’t do it.”
“How far along are you?” Blair asked.
“Six weeks,” Jo answered. “I did not plan on this Blair, and now, with everything else, I don’t know if I can do this!” Tears were streaming down Jo’s face.
“Hey,” Blair said, “Remember, Jamie was a surprise too.” Blair reached over and hugged her best friend. She hated herself for the thoughts that were going through her mind. With all the problems Jo had in her life, why would God give her this baby? Blair wanted a child more than anything, and she couldn’t have one. She hated to admit it to herself, but she was more than jealous. She was angry.

ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 01:45 PM Chapter37
Dorothy had been waiting for more than an hour for her friends’ plane to land. She was sitting in the airport, sipping hot coffee, when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She fully expected it to be Robert. After all, he was constantly showing up. “Robert,” she said, “Are you just going to spend all your time following me around?” She turned around and was embarrassed to see that it was not Robert who had touched her shoulder.
“Who is Robert?” Rick asked her.
“Rick!” Dorothy shouted. “What are you doing here?”
Rick looked at Dorothy. “I ditched the tour,” he said. “Jo called me last night. She was crying.” He paused for a moment. “I can’t take it when she does that. She needs me, and I need to be here. So I flew in this morning.”
“She seemed okay this morning,” Dorothy told him. “We took the girls to school. She was fine until Jamie mentioned wanting to move into the dorms.”
“Oh. No,” Rick said.
“No, it’s alright,” Dorothy told him. “She changed her mind and decided she wants to live at home.”
“Thank God,” Rick said. “I don’t think Jo could handle losing her only baby right now. So, what are you doing here anyway?”
Dorothy planned to tell him the whole long story about Natalie and Harper’s wedding, but she was interrupted even before she started. “Hey,” Natalie said, “the honeymooners are back.” Harper and Natalie kissed each other. Dorothy and Rick just smiled.
Chapter38
Jo had stopped crying by the time they reached the office building that housed both her psychiatrist and Blair’s fertility doctor. Still, her face was pale and anyone who looked at her would know something was wrong.
“I’ll be right back,” Blair said to her. “I need to use the restroom.” She walked into the bathroom. Jo stood outside the bathroom door waiting for her friend. She had not wanted to tell Blair about her pregnancy. She knew how much Blair wanted a baby. She hoped her best friend did not hate her.
Blair walked out of the bathroom door. “Are you ready?” she asked. Jo looked at her. “I guess so,” she said. Their appointments were at the same time, so Jo went to the third floor, while Blair went to the sixth. They agreed to meet in the lobby when they were finished.
Jo walked into the waiting room. She looked at all of the people sitting in chairs, waiting for someone to talk to. She remembered how she used to help people, when she worked as a social worker. People used to come and talk to her, now she had to go to someone else for help. She walked up to the window. “I’m here to see Dr. Jacobson,” she said to the receptionist. The woman smiled at her. “Take a seat,” she said, “he’ll be right with you.”
Blair walked up to the window, and told the receptionist who she was. “Oh yes,” the woman said, “I’ll get the nurse. Dr. Meyers wanted to do some blood work first.” The nurse came out and led Blair into another room. Blair was confused about why she needed to have blood work done before she could see the doctor. “Well,” the nurse said. “Sometimes an infertility problem can be caused by disease. The doctor likes to make sure you are healthy before she does the exam.” The woman drew blood and told Blair to come back in a couple of hours for the results.
Jo liked Dr. Jacobson instantly. He reminded her of her father, a lot. They even looked alike in many ways. He was kind and willing to listen. She told him how scared she was of everything. She told him how the terrorist attacks had changed her way of life, and how she did not know how to be herself anymore. She cried, and he passed her the tissues. She told him about Blair and how she had come all that way to help her. She told him she was pregnant and afraid to bring an innocent baby into this horrible world. She told him how Jamie wanted to move into the dorms and how scared she was of losing her. She told him how much she missed social work, and that that was the true reason she had quit her job. When the hour was up, Jo couldn’t believe how much of herself she had revealed to this man.
Dr. Jacobson did not feel that Jo was beyond help. She was scared, like a lot of people, but he knew he could help her. He was concerned about her pregnancy though, and the mixed up emotions that come along with it. He told her she needed to tell her husband about the baby immediately, and he wanted her to make an appointment for a session once a week. Jo was relieved to think she was not beyond hope. One day, she might even feel normal again. She went down to the lobby to meet Blair.
Chapter39
Blair had been waiting in the lobby for thirty minutes before Jo came down. She was happy when she saw her friend get off the elevator with a look of content on her face. “So?” Blair asked her. “How was it?” Jo took a deep breath. “Fine,” she said. “Really good actually. He said I’m not crazy.” Blair wanted to laugh, but she knew Jo wasn’t fully joking with her. “So, are you going to see him again?” She asked. Jo nodded her head.
“Well,” Jo said to Blair. “What about you?” she asked. ‘Did you find out anything?”
Blair answered her, “Not yet,” she said. “They took some blood and I have to come back in an hour for the results.”
“Oh,” Jo said.
“You want to go eat lunch?” Blair asked her. “I’m starved.”
The two women walked next door to a small café. They sat down at a table, and the waitress brought them some menus. “I’m not really hungry,” Jo said, feeling a little queasy at the sight of the greasy diner food.
“You should try to eat,” Blair said, “for the baby.” Jo remembered when she was pregnant with Jamie and Blair was constantly trying to get her to drink more milk and eat vegetables. Blair deserved a baby, Jo thought. She hoped she’d get her wish.
After lunch, the two women walked back to the office building. This time they both went to the sixth floor. Jo waited in the waiting room, while Blair went in to get her test results from Dr. Meyers.
Jo/Blair_fan 11-25-2001, 02:11 PM Post more soon the suspence is killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 02:19 PM Chapter40
Blair walked into the room. It was cold, and she was nervous about what the doctor would tell her. She tried to wait patiently, but it was hard. Finally Dr. Meyers came into the room. “Mrs. Warner-Warner?” she asked.
Blair looked at the doctor. “Yes,” she said. “Do you have my results?”
The doctor looked at Blair. She seemed confused. “Well,” she said, “Why were you coming to see me?” she asked.
Blair could not believe her ears. This was supposed to be the best fertility specialist around, and the woman couldn’t even remember what her patient was there for. “I’ve been having a problem getting pregnant,” Blair reminded her.
“That is what I thought,” the doctor said. “But your test results don’t show that.”
“How can you tell that from a blood test?” Blair asked. “I thought you just did that to rule out any diseases.”
“Well we do,” the doctor said. “But this test says you are not infertile. You’re already pregnant.”
Blair heard what the doctor said, but she could not comprehend it. When it finally did sink in, she thought she might pass out. “But, I took a test.” She said.
“Home pregnancy tests are not always accurate,” the doctor said. “Especially early on. I would like to do an exam though, just to put your mind at ease.” Blair let the doctor do the exam. The doctor decided that she was about three weeks along. Blair could not believe what she had just been told, and she was still rather out of it when she met Jo in the waiting room.
“Well?” Jo asked her.
“I’m pregnant,” Blair said expressionless.
“What?” Jo asked.
“I’m pregnant…I’m pregnant!” Blair shouted. The excitement had finally taken hold of her. “I’m going to have a baby! I can’t believe it. I have to call Tad. No wait, maybe I should tell him in person. Oh, I don’t believe this!” Blair was practically bouncing up and down.
“You know what this means, don’t you?” Jo asked her. “Our kids are going to be the same age.”
“Lord help the Eastland class of 2020!” Blair and Jo both laughed. Then the walked back to the car.
ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 02:46 PM Chapter41
When they arrived home, Blair had calmed down a little. She couldn’t wait to tell Tad about the baby.
“I wonder if Tootie’s back from the airport yet?” Jo asked.
“Are you ever going to remember to call her Dorothy?” Blair asked laughing.
“Probably not,” Jo said. Then she smiled. “Well I hope ‘Dorothy’ got back in time to pick the girls up from school.” The two women walked into the inn. They saw Natalie and Harper immediately and rushed over to give them a hug. ‘Where’s Tootie…Dorothy?” Jo asked.
Harper answered, “She went to pick up Jamie and Tisha.”
“Well, where is Tad?” Blair asked. “I need to see him.”
“He’s out on the patio with Rick,” Natalie answered.
“With Rick?” Jo asked. “My Rick?” Jo suddenly felt as if she might throw up, but this time she was sure it was more because of nerves than because of the baby.
“That is great,” Blair said. “We can tell them together.” She took Jo’s hand and led her onto the patio.
“Tell them what?” Harper asked his wife. Natalie just shrugged.
Chapter42
Rick saw Jo as soon as she came out onto the patio. He rushed over and kissed her. “I’ve missed you,” he said.
“What are you doing here?” she asked him. “We need the money from that concert tour.”
“I think I’ve got that figured out,” he smiled at her. “I was just talking to Tad, and he said they need a piano player for the bar here at the inn. We could live here for free and Jamie could go to Eastland. You’d be closer to your friends.”
“Oh Rick,” she said. “I don’t know. You love L.A.”
“I love you more,” he bent down and kissed her. “How was your appointment?”
“It was good.” Jo told him. “I think I’m going to be okay. Dr. Jacobson says I should come to see him every week for awhile.”
“Whatever it takes,” Rick said. He could see a difference in Jo already. He figured part of it was because of the psychiatrist, but most of it was because of her friends.
Tad was just as excited to see Blair. “So?” he asked.
“Tad,” she said. “I have some news. Maybe you should sit down.”
“What is it?” he asked as he sat on a patio chair.
“I’m pregnant!” Blair shouted as her face lit up.
“I don’t believe it! We’re going to have a baby!” Tad was jumping and hugging his wife at the same time. “We need to think of a name, buy baby clothes. Oh, I just can’t believe this!”
“Wow,” Rick said. “Congratulations you two. I’m really happy for you.” He hugged Blair and shook Tad’s hand. Blair looked at Jo, but Jo remained silent.
“Jo,” Blair asked, “didn’t you want to tell Rick something?” Rick turned around and looked at his wife. “What is it babe?” he asked.
“Maybe you should sit down too,” Jo said softly.
Rick just stared at her, “Really?” he asked weakly. “Are you sure?”
Jo hoped Rick would be happy about the news, but she knew it would be a shock. They had been married for almost fourteen years. Their daughter would be thirteen next month. With all of their other problems, maybe this just wasn’t the best time to bring a baby into their lives.
“Yea, I’m sure,” she said. She began to cry, but tried to hold back her tears. “I’m sorry Rick.”
Rick pulled her close to him. He kissed her and wiped away a tear that was falling down her cheek. “Don’t be sorry,” he said. “I’m not. Maybe a baby is just what we need. I always thought we should have more children anyway.” He smiled at her.
“You did?” she asked.
“Yes I did,” he said. “I love you so much. I am so excited!” He picked her up and began to spin her around in his arms. Then he stopped and just looked into her eyes. “How could I be sorry when we are going to have the two best children in the world?”
Jo was feeling pretty woozy from the spin around the patio. In fact, from where she was standing, everything was still spinning and her stomach was doing flip-flops. “Rick,” she said, “If you spin me around like that again, I think we’ll both be sorry.” She sat down and took a deep breath.
“Oh honey,” Rick said. “I can’t believe I did that. I forgot how sick you get when you’re pregnant.” He put his arms around her. He knew everything would be okay.

Dorothy was sitting in her car outside Eastland. She knew Tisha and Jamie should be out any minute. She hoped their first day had gone well. Just then her cell phone rang. She picked it up, and immediately recognized Robert’s voice.
“Hey there,” he said to her. “Have you missed me today?”
“Robert,” she said. “I need to talk to you about last night. I’m sorry I pushed you away. I just am really afraid of where this is leading. We’re such good friends, I don’t want to lose that.”
“I know you’re scared, Dorothy,” he said. “You haven’t had a relationship since Jeff passed away, have you?”
The thought of Jeff brought tears to her eyes. “No,” she said. “I haven’t”
“I understand that,” he said. “I don’t want to push you. I want you to know how I feel though. I love you. I think I may be in love with you. I’m willing to wait until you feel the same.”
“Robert,” she said. “I have to go.” She hung up the phone. What really frightened her was that she felt the same as Robert. She loved him. How could she betray Jeff like that?
Dorothy’s thoughts were interrupted by her daughter, pounding on the door. “Mom,” Tisha said. “Let us in.” Dorothy unlocked the door to let the girls in. “So?” she asked, “How was the first day?”
Jamie and Tisha were both excited as they talked about Eastland all the way home.
ZeldaGilroy 11-25-2001, 02:53 PM I"M FINISHED!!!!!! I can't believe it. Here is the end of the story...
Chapter44
When Dorothy and the girls entered the Little Inn, everyone was sitting in the living room talking about Natalie and Harper’s honeymoon and about the new additions on the way.
“Daddy,” Jamie yelled when she saw him on the couch next to her mother. “You came!” She ran over and hugged him tight.
“Hey sweetie,” he said. “Your mom and I have some news for you.”
“What?” Jamie asked.
“You are going to be a big sister,” he said. Jamie couldn’t believe it. A baby would be great. “Really mom?” she asked.
Jo smiled at her daughter. “Really,” she answered.
“And Tad and I are going to have a baby too,” Blair said happily.
“I am so happy for you guys,” Dorothy said. “Two babies. This is exciting!” She looked at Natalie and Harper sitting on the couch next to her. “Anymore baby news I should know about?” she asked.
“Bite your tongue,” Natalie said. They all laughed. Then Natalie added, “But if do ever have a baby, I’ll be sure to name her Tootie.”
Chapter45
Afternoon turned to evening and no one was anxious to end the good time they were all having. After dinner, they all continued talking for hours. Jamie and Tisha went upstairs to Jamie’s room and fell asleep. The men followed soon after. They were too tired to sit up and listen to their wives act like schoolgirls.
“You know,” Dorothy said. “I have missed you guys so much. I am so happy I moved back here.”
Natalie gave her friend a hug, “I’m glad I introduced you to Robert.”
“How is that going anyway?” Blair asked.
“He says he loves me,” Dorothy answered. “I think I love him too.”
“That’s great,” Jo said to her.
“What do you think Jeff would say about all of this?” Dorothy asked.
Natalie knew her friend was still healing from the loss of her husband. “He’d want Tootie to be happy.” She said. Dorothy reached over and hugged her friend.
‘Thank you,” Dorothy answered. “Tootie needed to hear that.”
“Well,” Jo said. “I am starving. Who wants pizza?”
“That sounds great to me,” Blair said. Dorothy and Natalie laughed a little at their two friends’ midnight cravings.
“What do you want on it?” Blair asked as dialed the phone.
“Anchovies and pineapple,” Jo laughed a little as she said it.
“Gross,” Natalie said. Dorothy just looked disgusted.
“You are really a typical pregnant woman, aren’t you?” Blair asked. “Puke all day and then crave weird food all night.”
“Hey, don’t start with me,” Jo said. “You just wait and see what strange things you start craving.”
“Warner’s only crave the very best,” Blair said. “We’re special that way.” Jo just rolled her eyes. Then Blair added, “But you know, the anchovy-pineapple pizza doesn’t sound half bad.”
Everyone burst out laughing!
THE END

Sure, go ahead and put it on your site! I'm glad you all liked it. If I have time, I may write another one, but I won't have anymore time off work until Christmas, unless you count weekends, but I'm busy chasing after a three year old then. Okay, I'm starting to get off topic. Anyway, thanks for all the compliments.
ZeldaGilroy 04-02-2002, 10:07 PM I'm bumping this so people can vote in my poll!

I do my best. Of course there are always a few typing errors here and there. I have to use correct grammar and spelling. I'm a teacher. I've been trained that way. LOL That is a big compliment to me!:)

:) Well, it's very nice to see! LOL Are you an English teacher? I'm not a teacher or anything, but I still appreciate correct grammar. People are always telling me to loosen up about it. :D I really enjoy your fan fics.

No, I am not an English teacher. I teach first grade, but I have an education emphasis in language arts and I am certified to teach all subjects K-6, and English/Reading 7-9.
Don't listen to those people who tell you to "Loosen up." Proper grammar is important.
Thanks again for the compliment!

:) Cool! Hey, it'd be awesome if you were my English teacher...an English teacher who likes FOL... Would you let your class write fan fics? LOL!!!

Hey, BonniesLilCutiePie...No one has replied to this in a long time! I'm glad you liked it! Maybe I will write a sequal to it...I plan to eventually. But I have to finish my CosbyShow one first. I added more to it by the way...in case you didn't know. Thanks for reading both of them.
BonniesLilCutiePie 07-27-2002, 03:33 AM You are welcome! I enjoy both of them. I hope you make a sequel sequel soon. :)
MrsGarrettRocksMySocks 07-27-2002, 04:10 PM This is Great!!! I didn't remember if I read it or not so I read it today...it took an hour or so, but, I loved it!!It's so great! Mrs. G wasn't there much...but...ya know, it's still really great!!!

Thanks ...I'm glad you liked it! Sorry there wasn't much Mrs. G. I just can't do her justice in my writing!
I haven't read the "Continuation" thread on the main board because it is soooooo long, but I'll check it out. It does sound funny!

yea...it is really long...fortunately most posts are short, lol...sometimes I come back from trips and there are about 4 pages I haven't read!:p
Don't worry about not doing Mrs. G justice...lol...over all, I would rather not have her in a fan fic than have someone write something for her that really ISN'T her...that was confuzzling...Anyways...yea....write another one soon!
BonniesLilCutiePie 07-27-2002, 07:04 PM Awesome! Why wasn't Nancy McKeon at the reunion? Was it because she had to much work to do on "The Division" ? My favorite show! Because Bonnie is in it!
ZeldaGilroy 01-21-2008, 11:03 PM Apparently back in 2002 I said I would write a sequel to this story. Well, life got in the way of my writing, but I recently rediscovered my love of FOL and after re-reading my fanfics, decided to write a sequel to this story. I am bumping this one up because I know there are new people on this board (well not new...but possibly people who were not here 6 years ago) and I thought they might want to read this first.
I hope you all enjoy it!
RoryGilmore 01-22-2008, 03:32 PM Okay I've read this before but just never commented because I hate bumping things up. Excellent story though! Now I'm off to read the next part!

80sTVQueen 08-28-2022, 10:46 PM Yes, I wish Jo would change her mind and go, but then again, sometimes problems in life can get to that point. It seems like Jo is having a little taste of ''You take the good, you take the bad.'' at the moment. Keep up the good work.
