Hmm, I think I can post wherever I like without your permission. But thanks for the thought anyway.

Bosses Day? Really? That's a load of crap. For every good boss out there, there's at least one absolutely godawful excuse for a boss, and depending on personal experiences your mileage may vary. Just an extra "day" to sell more cards, cakes, cookies, and other junk.

I went to Panera Bread earlier today and there was a printout on the door commemorating the Bosses Day and the store's manager, and I couldn't help but wonder if the employees there *really* liked the guy, or if he (or one of his suckups) hadn't just put it there themselves.

Being your own boss is wonderful. You're responsible for your successess and your failures, which means when something goes wrong, you do take the brunt; but when something goes well, you get all the credit you deserve

We had a choice: either donate money for a gift card, or bring food. Like I was going to give a man who makes 700000x more money than me $, so I opted for food, because at least I could get something out of it. I would have chosen neither, because I think he's a completely lousy boss, but I guess I had to keep up appearances.

The last time I was involved in a group pitch-in for a gift was my senior year in high school when those of us in the college dual credit chemistry class...well, technically I can't really say anymore. Ask me if you want to know sometime.;)
