Gosh, I don't know. I think it must have something to do with the music industry operates today. Music today seems so manufactured and phoney. One group or style hits big, then all the music people try to duplicate that same sound, so everything all winds up sounding the same. And the poor little bands out there never get a chance. The '70's were probably the best era for popular music. Many different styles and so many great bands and songs. If you weren't born yet, ask your parents!

Heaven forbid someone doing a commercial should come up with something original. Well at least Paul McCartney will get some royalties out of it. (Maybe Badfinger too???)

And do you know what song they use to advertise for Viagra?Elvis Presley's classic "Viva Las Vegas".Sure,it's catchy("Viva Viagra"),but it's dumb.And for Target,they use The Beatles'"Hello,goodbye".Both songs "Hello ,goodbye" and "Viva Las Vegas" are both great songs,IN THEIR ORIGINAL FULL LENGTH FORM.It's too bad some people will only remember these(and so many other great songs)songs,only by their use in commercials.
