He peered around the corner. He saw her coming, Perfect Target, he thought, Id like to see her try to defend herself...

Jo was walking down the street, as she reached an alley between two tall buildings, she thought she had heard something, probably a cat she thought to herself. Like a kid in the dark she sped up while she went by, see nothing, you were worried over nothing. she thought too herself.

Suddenly she felt herself get jerked back.

X: Ha! I got you now.

J: Oh G-d get off, tears began to stream down her face as she fought.

At that moment the masked man pulled a gun out and pressed it againt her stomach.

J: No! Please! She began to cry. Dont hurt the baby!

X: Awwwww... And how far along are you Honey? He said this in a sweet voice, Jo knew he was crazy. He pushed the gun agians her, hard.

J: 9 months sicko, if i werent then youd be sorry!

X: He grabbed her by the hair, Isnt that cute you sound just like your little girl.

J: You, you shot her! Im going to kill you!

Jo began to fight violently with him, she elbowed him hard, obviosly he didnt know how to fight well. His gun went flying.

X: You were luckey, but dont count on it. He hit her, very hard, Jo leaned over and put her face agianst the wall. Then he kicked her then got up and ran quickly away, into the back of the alley.

Jo let out a loud sob, but she couldnt get up, she was afraid that he had broken something.

B: Jo! Oh My G-d! What the hell happened.

J: Blair, she moaned, help me, get me up.

B: Jo, no, i have to call an ambulance!

Jo tryed to stand up, Blair! Help Me!!!

B: ALright fine. But, you need a doctor!

J: Blair please just take me home!

B: Fine! Come on.

Blair helped her up, but forgot about the surprise baby shower that was waiting back at Jo's house, every body was there.

Jo didint say nuch on the way home she just sat there in the car thinking

J: Blair let me have your cell phone

Blair handed it to her

J: Hello, id like to report a crime. Jo talked on the phone for a good 10 minutes, trying to desribe what she had seen of the guy, Blairs eyes widened with every word, when Jo got done she covered her mouth with her hand in shock.

B: Are you ready too tell me waht happened, well i heard most of it but anything else. she was a little nervose asking

J: No, and i really dont want to talk about it at all, the police said they'd do their best to protect me, you know, i am still on the force, that gives them all the more reason to spend all of thier waking hours looking.

B: Uh... yeah alright

J: I dont want rick to know, he'll get all worried and ALexis will hear and... Ugh, I just want this between the police, me and you. She started to cry again.

B: Jo dont you think that will be a little hard.

J: What are you talkin about?

Blair motioned to the visor mirror. Jo pulled it down and stared at her reflection for a good 30 seconds, she had an awful swolen black eye. HSe went to touch her face and sqezed her eyes togeter, tears streamed down her face, suddenly she started sobbing hysterically.

B: Jo stop, thats not good for the baby!

J: No i didnt Know it was this bad! It hurt but then it stopped, i thought i was better, i dont belive it! I cant stop crying!

B: She was a little teary too, Jo, it will all be aright, Just please stop crying!

Jo sniffled and tryed to stop, Ok Blair im ok now, but i guesse i have to tell rick and alexis, they'll be so worried!

B: No, well all be worried, i mean nobody thought he would go after you too.

I ahve to go now, its a little wierd but what do you think?

Ok, sorry i havnt posted...Ive been quite busy.


Back at Jo's house.

Jo walked into a dark living room, Blair still didnt remember the baby shower.

J: Blair? Could ya turn on the lights, Jeez...Where is e... She was interupted by the loud SURPRISE, that startled both her and Blair. Everyone stared at Jo.

B: Ooooops...Hehe. Guess i forgot. Blair tryed to sneak out of the room.

J: Oh Blairsy.... It seems we have a little problem... You see, the one thing i wanted nobody to know about, well, lets just say, im going to shoot you!

B:Look Im sorry.

Jo sighed and sat down. A very short person pushed out of the crowd.

T: Jo, what, uh... what? What happened?

J: Tootie your here? I didt see you behind...evrybody.

T: Jo! Stop beating around the bush! What HAPPENED?

J: Oh alright... I dont know how to put this.

T: SPILL IT!!!!!!!!!

J: The guy who shot Alexis attacked me... Well, that was easy.

R: WHat?!?! Call the cops! Call a doctor. Contact the Marines!

J: Rick i did.

R: You called the marines?

J; No i dont want to TALK ABOUT IT! Period! CAN I GO UPSTAIRS AND REST NOW?

R: Fine ill help you.

B: No ill do it.

Blair went upstairs with her. When they got to Jos room she looked at herself in the mirror.

J: Ugh! It looks worse! AT least alexis didnt see me... Wait where is she.

B: Shes sleeping over Danas house with Racheal.

J: Good. but tommorow she will. At least i have more time to think of ways to tell her.

Sorry gotta go to the carwash Write later today

J: (sigh) ALright...yeah, i need to rest.

Jo climed into bed, inher clothes and pulled on the sheets.

B: You want me to leave?

J: Nah, stay, i want company, if Rick comes up hell faint or something.

Blair was exausted but decided to stay anyway, she sat in a chair on the other side of the room and fell asleep. Jo fell asleep too.

(Downstairs)

R: Look everyone i think it would be best if evryone leaves.

MG: Of course.

Everyone filed out the back door exept Mrs Garret.

MG: Rick could you give me a ride? You know, cabs take forever and Bruce is sick so...

R: Sure. Uh but i dont know where you live.

Mg: Well its about 1 hour away, there are a lot of detours from the storm we had last week

Rick took his coat off the hook, Yeah it knocked down our phone lines, The companys still havnt come to fix it. He turned and yelled, Jo im driven Mrs G home. Ok? He got no answer. Hehe shes probably asleep. They left.

(upstairs)

Jo wakes up out of a sound sleep.

J: Blair? Blair! BBLLAAIIRR!!!!!!!!!

B: No dont take the credit card! Huh? Oh jo i just had the worst dream. You see....

J: I dont care Blair! Get me too the hospital!

B: Jo!?! Your not due for another week.

J: I know that, and you know that, she looked at her stomach, But she dont know that, oh i feel another contraction.

B: Ill call 9-1-1.

J: No can do Blair our phone lines are down. Go get rick and tell him too get the car.

Blair ran downstairs and frantically looked for him. She ran back upstairs.

B: Jo hes not here, niether is the car.

J: (opening her eyes and breathing heavy) Somebodys gonna die!!!!!!!

B: Calm down.

J: Calm down! CALM DOWN!!!! Yuo want me too calm down. Im out here in labor, nobody knows, no phone no car, now is a great time to panick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry it took so long... Lots of stuff has been going on well here we go.

J: Blair c'mon help me up. She was more calm now. Blair catiously approached her and helped her up. Blair had just enough time to get her outside before another contraction hit.

J: OH! Jo sqeezed her eyes together, she eased herself to the ground.

B: OK Ok take it easy, take it easy.

Jo tryed to remember lamaz, she hadnt taken classes, sense she had done this before, but now she regretted that.

J: Ugh! Its over.

B: C'mon you wanted to walk.

Bair helped jo up and walked her to a silver Porche> The street light reflected off the car and gave jo enogh light to read the words Blairs Esquire.

J: New paint job?

B: Yeah.

J: Thats nice.

B: Shut up.

J: OK.

Jo climbed into the passenger side. She felt another contraction as the car started up. She greabbed blairs hand and squezzed with all her might. The bones in blairs hand began to crack.

B: AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH! JO GET OFF ME! pleeeeeeeeeeease!

Jo let go as the contraction ended. Tears formed in blairs eyes. She held it in but in an attempt to grab the shifter she realized Jo had broken her index finger, she struggled with the stick shift the entire way there and made sure jo couldnt get to her hands. About 30 feet from the parking lot hte biggest contraction yet sent jo into tears which fell violently from her face. SHe took a deep breath.

J: Blair, my water just broke.

B: ALright, were here anyway.

Blair rushed around the front of the still running car. SHe wipped the door open and pulled jo out. SHe walked quickly through the dorrs trying not to rush Jo.

B: Help we got a woman in labor here!

A large group of people looked up at jo. She gave them her signature smile waved and looked back at the ground. A doctor came running in with a nurse carring one of those folding wheelchairs following close behind. She unfolded it and sat it next to Jo. Jo sat down slowly. Before the doctor could ask her anything she screammed from another contraction. The nurse rushed Jo down the hall.

Receptionist: Name?

B: What?

RE: Her Name what is her name?

B: Joanne Marie Polniaczek Bonner.

R: Uh, How do you spell POlna Polna, whatever you said it was?

B: P-O-L-N-I-A-C-Z-E-K

RE: Thank you.

B: Can I see a doctor?

RE: WHats wrong.

B: She squezzed myhand and i think she broke it.

The receptionist giggled, Uh sorry were short on doctors right now, but im sure theyle fit you in ASAP.

B: OOOOOOHHHH Your a big help.

RE: SOOOOOOOOORRY

B: So childish!

blair sat heself down in a chair and starred at her hand in amazement. She never realized how strong Jo was, then she recalled the time Jo punched her.

B: If there is a god then prove it go ahead gimme a sighn!

She remembered Jos fist smacking her in the face so hard for a minuit she wasnt even sure what had happend.

D: Bonner? He looked at his chart, Joanna Marie Polnaczek Bonner how interesting.

B: Yes?

D: Are you immediate family?

B: No.

D: Then you cant see her.

B: But im her....Lamaz coach, yes her Lamaz coach!

D: Oh well in that case you can see ehr right away. But first... He pointed to a nurse holding up a bag with clothes inside. Put those on, Shell be haveing the baby soon so it will save you the troble of doing it later.

Blair walked over to the nurse and grabbed the bag, the nurse motioned to a changeing room. I hate green. Blari muttered under her breath. The nurse just gave her a dirty look and walked away. After blair was all changed she went into Jos room.

B: Hi.

J: Hi, she looked blair over. Nice outfit.

B: Oh, I can make even this tacky thing look good she tossed her hair. How are you feeling.

J: You know some thing blair?

B: What?

J: Natural childbirth sucks why did i ever agree to this? Where is rick?

B: I dunno, she was interrupted by a contraction.

Blair dove by jos side.

B: Breath, she imitaded lamaz, Now breath.

J: Blair?

B: Yes?

J: Do you have any idea what in the hell you are trying to do!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

B: No.

J: Oh...... Then by all means do SHUTUP!!!!

B: Jo! Please im new at this!

J: I hate you, no i dont, your my best friend, she felt another contraction. I HATE rick! No i dont i love rick! But i hate him anyway! What am i saying!?!?! Where the Hell is rick anyway. If he doesnt get here i swear to G-d ill. The contraction subsided.

B: ARe you ok now? May i please speak?

J: SOrry this is very stressfull.

B: I know ive donethis before, Ill go see if rick is home or not K?

J: Ok.

Blair went down the hall and looked around for a phone, she found one and stuck 35 cents in.

B: Hello Rick?

R: Yes?

B: Im at the hospital, Jos in labor.

R: Oh My... I think im gonna faint!

Blair heard a loud thud at ricks end of the line.

B: Rick Rick?

There was no answer, Rick now kay motionless on the floor.

B: I pity you when Jo gets through with you youre gonna...

D: Ms. Warner? ( By the way Blair was Divorced and went back too useing the name Warner)

B: Yes?

D: Its time.

Blair dropped the phone and ran into the room. Her hand no longer hurt, the broken finger was a typical Blair overreaction.
