(Jo has two children, Katie who is 11 and has Cystic Fibrosis or CF, and Tim who is 3. Jo and Blair live about 2 blocks away frome each other and Keep in touch. Blair has 1 daughter Jackie who was born on the same day and year as Katie. Katie was born 3 hours before Jackie.)

Jo: Katie get up, you've got to go through therapy and go to school.
Katie: Oh hush-up and let me sleep!!!
Jo: Katie get up now! Katie don't make me go get your father.

Jo: And Blair. Well everyone is going to Peekskill for a reunion. In the meantime go pack you bags. You go to the hospital for your first bronch tommarrow.

Jo: Katie I'm going to remind you that having CF is a biggie. It is life threatning so I don't want to hear that attitude.

BA: Edna!!!
Jo: Mrs. G!!! Hi. I want you to meet my husband Rick. My son Tim he's three and my daughter Katie She's eleven.
Katie: Nice to meet you.
(Katie starts to get short of breath)
Jo&Rick: Katie what's wrong?
Katie: Mom It's harder to berathe than usual and my chest hurts.
Jo: Rick call 911.
Rick: No problem.
Mrs. G: Jo what's wrong?
Jo: Katie has CF. This could be a reaction to medicine a resperatory infection. Who knows.
Rick: An ambulance should be here in 7 minutes.

(Hospital waiting room, Beverly Ann finally arrives with Natalie and the rest of her family.)
Jo: Rick I hate it when this happens. I wish we knew if she was okay.

Natalie: Who's in the hospital for what?
Rick: Our daughter Katie, she has CF was having trouble breathing and having chest pains.
(A doctor enters the room)

Doctor: She should be fine. It's just a resperatory infection. Family can go see her now room 354 on the 3rd floor.

Natalie: Look here comes a doctor now.
Doctor: Bonner.

Doctor: (Shakes his head and frowns) I'm sorry to tell you this but well Katie is in critical condition and they are moving her to the ICU now. But currently she is in a coma. I'm very sorry.

(The Doctor leaves)
Jo: Listen you guys I'm sorry that this reunion will be like this. Katie has been getting worse and well I just wanted her to meet you guys before she dies. Oh Rick I love her so much.
Rick: I know you do Jo. Just calm down.
Jo: Mrs. G I really need some advice right about now.
(Everyone including Jo laughs a little)
Mrs. G: Jo all I can tell you to do is pray and when they let you see her even though she may not be able to hear you tell everything you ever wanted to tell her. Jo I'm so sorry.
Natalie: Jo we're all sorry. I hope she's okay.
(They all hug)
Rick: There's no reason in staying here. Visiting hours are over so we better head home.
