NY/NJ/PA/CT/MA have public transportation that will take you to NYC. They do NYC/DC trains, too. It's NYC baby... you're more than covered with transportation. :) PZelda 08-19-2007, 01:35 AM Haha, I figured you were pretty far but I had to ask since Anthony's sister just moved to LA. I'm not too wild about Los Angeles itself... it's awesome and all that... Downtown is hella cool. But it is so goddamn SLUMMY in so many parts, and the graffiti there is pretty evenly matched with NYC. When most people think Los Angeles, they think of the ritzy parts, like Hollywood Hills or Beverly Hills. I know someone who lives in Los Angeles (just down the street from Pasadena) and they have a 500 sq ft house that they brought for like $375,000. I went inside his house... holy ****, TINY. The nicer, but not ritzy, two-story houses fetch about $2 million. Housing costs in that area SUCK. Personally, I'm a fan of the coastal towns in southern California (Huntington Beach is one of my faves), and anything north of LA. Maybe you're talking about SoCal. Karen* 08-19-2007, 06:21 AM Hey, when our other thread got deleted, did our post counts go down along with it? Just wondering. Karen* 08-19-2007, 06:27 AM LOL, it's funny to see Courtnee posting here. Don't mean that in a bad way. I just mean that I haven't seen her post much in this thread till recently. Karen* 08-19-2007, 06:27 AM Hey, don't forget that I'm also a Journalism major. :D  Karen* 08-19-2007, 06:29 AM I love my new avvie. And I love how my user title, avvie, and sig all reflect my love for music ... and three current obsessions of mine (Hairspray, SYTYCD, and HSM), haha. Karen* 08-19-2007, 06:30 AM I think I might change my username, even though I don't post on SO much anymore, LOL. Courtnee 08-19-2007, 09:52 AM Does Yearbook count as journalism? Courtnee 08-19-2007, 10:00 AM You guys, I had YET ANOTHER dream about him TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW. Courtnee 08-19-2007, 10:58 AM You guys, I had YET ANOTHER dream about him TWO NIGHTS IN A ROW. In the dream, it turns out, my uncle was a serial killer and he was trying to kill me and paul let me stay at his house. He let me sleep on his bed and he slept on the couch. Even in dreams, he's a sweetheart. :biglove: ...and yesterday at my friend hannahs house, we had a noodle (http://www.zinkwazi.com/blog/images/20060730230710__dsc7839.jpg) fight. It started out, like, nice but like an hour later, we were beating the **** out of each other. SO MUCH FUN. ...and THEN whent THAT was over, he went on his myspace and he moved me to number 2 in his top friends. :D YAY. I think he was flirting with me. DOUBLE YAY! Courtnee 08-19-2007, 11:02 AM Crystal needs to post new myspace surveys. STAT. Courtnee 08-19-2007, 11:02 AM Crystal needs to post new myspace surveys. STAT. NVM. ~LadyJess~ 08-19-2007, 11:02 AM I'm not too wild about Los Angeles itself... it's awesome and all that... Yeah, when Niki was looking for places to move she was talking about some 600 sq ft trailer that cost $700,000. She ended up getting a 2 bedroom apartment just outside of LA, one block from the beach, but I have no idea how much it is costing her. AllIWantIsYourClutch 08-19-2007, 11:03 AM Nice! Mine was more like a high school, and yours is more like a real city newspaper, as far as operations go. So, yeah, KT. You have an idea of what to expect if you end up on the paper at a community college or an university. Our school has a tv station and a radio station too, so there's stuff for Broadcast majors to do. ~LadyJess~ 08-19-2007, 11:04 AM Although if I do go to California, I'm more interested in going to see the sights, hit up a water park, etc. Niki's apartment will just be a free place for us to stay. ~LadyJess~ 08-19-2007, 11:05 AM Hey, when our other thread got deleted, did our post counts go down along with it? Just wondering. No, they stayed the same. AllIWantIsYourClutch 08-19-2007, 11:05 AM Does Yearbook count as journalism? In my high school, our journalism class did the newspaper and the yearbook. ~LadyJess~ 08-19-2007, 11:07 AM Nice! We are a daily paper that has circuation to 45,000 students and is also available as a subscription to people outside the university. ~LadyJess~ 08-19-2007, 11:08 AM Crystal needs to post new myspace surveys. AllIWantIsYourClutch 08-19-2007, 11:14 AM At my school, Yearbook is a class all together and newsletter just meets after school. That would be the logical thing to do. But my high school was far from logical. Which is why all of our stuff was horrible. Courtnee 08-19-2007, 11:14 AM request sent |
