Hey - I'm new on this board, when it comes to posting, anyway, but I've been reading the fanfics on here for awhile. I finally got up the courage to write a fanfic and post it, please tell me what you think - it's a first attempt, so it's probably not great. Anyway, here it is. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
"Words Do Hurt"
Script
Season 3
Summary: After deciding to eat right and diet, Blair makes a rude remark about Natalie's weight that shocks everyone.
(Jo, Blair, and Tootie are eating in the cafeteria)
T: Is that all you're gonna eat, Blair?
B: I'm trying to start eating healthy. Salads are healthy - so they'll keep me slim and in perfect condition.
J: ::Rolls her eyes:: As soon as Mrs. G makes brownies you'll be down here and all over them, just like the rest of us.
B: Really, Jo... If you eat right and exercise, treats are fine sometimes.
N: (Walks in, but freezes at the doorway where no one notices her)
T: What are you going on this diet for anyway, Blair?
B: Well, around your teen years you gain the most weight. Natalie's certainly living proof of that.
J: That's low, Blair.
T: Where is Natalie, anyway?
N: Right here! ::Walks over, looking hurt and angry::
B: Natalie... I... I didn't know...
N: Didn't know I was there? I noticed, but you still said it! ::Storms out::
J: See what you did now, Blair?!
B: (Embarrassed) Hey! The truth hurts! Maybe if we told her told her the truth a long time ago she wouldn't have to deal with it now! (Storms out the other way)
T: (Glances at Jo)
J: (Sighs and looks down)
(In the bedroom, later)
B: Natalie... I'm sorry about earlier.
N: It's okay, Blair. I know you didn't mean what you said.
B: I meant it, I'm just sorry you had to hear it...
J: Blair!
N: No, Jo, let her talk. What else do you think isn't good enough about me, Blair?
B: Natalie, I'm your friend--
N: You sure have a funny way of showing it!
B: L-Look, it's what everybody says about you anyway, don't expect me to believe you heard it for the first time at lunch!
T: Blair! Stop it!
N: You're just an egotistical, superfisical, spoiled, brat!
B: I've never been so insulted in my life!
J: Sure you have, I've insulted you 10 times better than that...
T: Jo, I don't think now is the best time.
B: At least I have friends and I'm attractive to boys! No boy in their right mind would go out with you. (Walks out of the bedroom)
N: (Calls after her) Maybe the real reason guys like you is because they know your EASY!
J: (Glances from the door to Natalie and back again)
T: (Looks stunned)
(Downstairs)
J: (Walks down the steps, carrying a scale) Hey, anybody wanna get weighed?
Mrs. G: What?!
J: I just thought it'd be... interesting.
B: Why not? I'll see if my dieting payed off.
Mrs.G: Dieting? What?
B: (Hops on the scale and her face goes pale) There must be a mistake..
J: Gee, Blair, looks like you GAINED 20 pounds instead of loosing any weight...
B: I don't understand... How could this happen?
J: I guess you're not so much different from Natalie after all, are you, Blair?
Mrs. G: Different than Natalie? What are you girls talking about?
B: Wait a second, Jo, this scale is stuck on the same number.
J: I guess you broke it...
B: Jo! You sneaky, snake in the grass...
J: Well, how does it feel thinking your overweight and having other people point it out?
B: (Looks down) I guess I wasn't very sensitive about Natalie's weight, was I?
J: Sensitive? Let's just say you make a lion look gentle.
Mrs. G: (Looks confused)
B: (Sighs) I guess I was wrong to make fun of her...
J: Don't tell me, tell Natalie.
(Back up in the bedroom)
N: (Reading a book on her bed)
B: (Walks in) Natalie?
N: Natalie is not here right now. At the sound of the tone, please leave a message. BUZZ OFF!
B: Natalie, can we please talk?
N: Tootie...
T: Natalie doesn't want to talk right now, Blair.
B: Tootie - Turn blue.
T: I don't have to take this, ya know...
J: (Leaning against the doorframe) Tootie!
T: Alright! Alright! (Walks out) Sheesh.
J: (Closes the door behind them)
N: What is it, Blair? Here to make fun of me some more?
B: Natalie, I can't take back what I said, as much as I wish I could, I can't. But I'm truely sorry from the bottom of my heart. I never meant to hurt your feelings, honest. Being wrong is just new to me...
N: It just hurt. You were right about me hearing it before, but hearing it from a friend...
B: That was really cold of me, Natalie. It was wrong. Can you forgive me?
N: (Looks down)
B: I understand. (Gets up and walks to the door)
N: (Looks up) Blair?
B: (Turns around)
N: I forgive you.
B: (Smiles and walks back over to her)
N: (Smiles and hugs Blair)
