He was also a fish gutter (when they went to Japan), Unirail driver, truck driver, chauffeur (Mel Brooks was one of his passengers), manager at the nuclear plant, ball setter at the bowling alley (his dream job). There was even a running joke on the series as to whether he still worked for the nuclear plant.
