THe hip-hop opening credits were for 1992-1992. 1990 still used the Apollo credits. Are you watching the original episode from season 8, or is it a rerun somewhere? And, why would Denise/Martin appear in the eighth season opening credits while they weren't seen at all? Were they credited?

The episode I received was from 10/4/90 which is season 6 so whatever the opening credits are for season 6 I never saw Denise and Martin in the opening credits until 2 days ago.

My mistake, I meant to say season 7-lol The 1990-91season is season. So the season 7 credits with the Mural is my first time seeing Martin and Denise

The following season they used the one that they were going to use for season 7 but Denise and Martin were edited out since they had left the show.

Thanks Sonny now everything makes sense. I just read that the Mural Credits only ran in certain cities and only for 4 airings and I guess I never saw Denise and Martin because they left the show by season 8. By the way Pam doesn't really dance in the version shown in october of 1990, bill cosby just brings her introduces her and that's it

EDIT: Never mind. I read at TV.com what happened. I wondered how they got the rights to use it in the eighth season.

No they changed it during the regular broadcast. I used to video tape the show back then so I remember. They only showed those openings about 2 or 3 times and everybody was in it including Denice , Martin and Pam. I think they couldn't come to terms with money for the guy who painted the mural.

TV.com said there werew 63 painters, and CW had to get all of their permission before using it on broadcast, so they made their own mural, which is what we see in season 8, but it was too closely related to the other one, so they quickoy removed it. Too bad ythat happened. Now it makes you wonder if things would have been different if they used the mural for season 7 - even though though nothing would have been different probably.

That opening was on YouTube, but it was removed. Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Anyway, I thought everyone, who was a fan of this show, had seen actually Denise and Martin in the 7th season, in the version of the mural opening, that really included them? Yeah, but then, you have those stupid syndicated versions in the US, while we get the entire original episodes over here in Europe. I guess we get to see more of these old TV shows these days than what you do!
