Barney Miller did at least once. In the Season 2 episode "Ambush", Chano and Harris come in the squadroom reeking of garbage (some bystanders witnessing the cops arrest someone threw trash at them). Det. Kelly then remarks on the foul smell: "What happened, you guys come back by way of Newark?" :lol:
