That Grace one is so funny. You know what's ironic? Brenda Turnbaugh, one of the Grace twins, actually DID marry at age 18. (I've met her - and she and her hubby have now been married 11 years, with a 5-year-old and a 4-year-old.) How cool is that? :D

I got to meet the twins at the Tombstone Western Film Festival & Little House Reunion in Tombstone, AZ, in July 2005. Wendi is also married with two young kids. They gave up acting after Little House. Both girls are so sweet, kind and humble. It was great seeing them!! :D

Yes, it was truly an honor getting to meet many of them at the Tombstone Western Film Festival in 2005. The ONLY one I was not impressed with was Melissa Gilbert. While all the other cast members were warm, friendly and spent almost every spare seconds signing autographs - she only went to one signing and rushed it. She didn't seem very accessible. Many people were disappointed and I didn't blame them - she was no doubt the main attraction of this event. :(

Hersha Parady was so down to earth and nothing but kind. I was feeloing so terrible after my performance on stage and she was very encouraging. She told me to get back on the stage.:)

Oh, Irene. That totally made my night. I was like, "Wow". A mother of one of the other actors backstage came backstage and yelled out "Hersha's here". I got nervous. I was so thrilled to meet her. LOL. I knew that Hersha was coming to see one of her students in the play but I did not think that she was coming backstage. Talking to her about LHOTP and the play really turned my mood around.

That must have been a thrill. I know it would have been for me to even meet any member of LHOTP. You would think with of one of my fave shows being filmed on location nearby I would have taken the opportunity to try and get a glimpse of them, but it wasn't meant to be. Maybe down the road somewhere, somehow.

LHOTP was so family-oriented and the characters seemed so real. Hersha came across as such a loving mother and wife and Michael Landon made a great choice casting her.

It was actually at NELLIE'S wedding where Grace kissed that little boy.
Charles had just told Laura & Almanzo that they just had to wait 1 year,
instead of 2.

Mrs. Oleson: "Why Mrs. Ingalls of course you're entitled to credit, its my pleasure, take all you want, and don't worry about you and Charles paying us back quickly, I won't nag you or throw it in your face."

Nellie Oleson: "Mother, I'm tired of all my expensive playthings, lets go down to the Mankato charity shelter and donate lots of money to them."

Caroline Ingalls to Mrs. Oleson: "Shove it up.......you mean spirited spiteful b****" (But I BET she sure did think it from time to time!)
