While Family Guy may not be everyone's cup of tea, I think it's one of the funniest animated programs ever made. It's witty, edgy and at times very clever. It's one of the few programs where a they will do a reference something, and I think i am the only one who gets that joke!

I, for one, love sexual humor. I am an adult, I can handle the idea that people have sex.

If you do not like that type of humor, I suggest you stick to the children's shows. (Just stay away from the Tellie-Tubbies. I hear you might not like one of them. LOL)

There are shows that are a lot more "sexual" than Family Guy. If this show makes you uncomfortable, then I doubt there are many things on TV that would suit you.

I can handle that people have sex. It's when people who are not Married to each other have sex that is wrong. It's wrong.

And I like a lot of TV. I just don't get the point as to why people must put that kind of sex on TV, as well as swearing. It does nothing at all to help the story. You can have TV shows without sex or swearing, and they don't have to be children's shows. Family TV is out there. Hollywood keeps asking for "NEW" and "FRESH" ideas, but people keep putting the same crap with swearing and sex on. It's old. It's not good Family TV. We don't need that on TV. WE just don't.

Apparently you fail to grasp that intelligent people do need intelligent humor that cuts beyond the core of the traditional family sensability. Instead of making a blanket judgment call for others, why not call the shots for yourself? If you don't like Family Guy, fine. Don't watch it. But don't spend five days on a message board dedicated to the series trying to tell people why they shouldn't enjoy it, especially if the majority of what you post insults and demeans those who enjoy watching it. It's an exercise in futility, and it makes you look bad.

And playing the morality card really won't float, either. I'm a live-in intern at a church. The majority of the male interns here enjoy watching things like Family Guy, South Park, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Sopranos and The Shield (all of which I have on DVD). Certainly we don't condone some of the things that take place on those shows happening in real life, but it doesn't hinder our enjoyment of those shows. We love Jesus with all our hearts, and want to spread His word (that's why I moved 1,000 miles to be here), but none of us are Ned Flanders. And we're adults who can make rational decisions (we wouldn't expose any of those shows to children, for example)

Sure. Back when people wanted to go to War, making fun of Osama or Saddam was what every TV show was doing. But now, people say we don't need the War. If our Troops came home before the job is done, we would get hit again and again. I don't think we would be here if we never went to War.
