Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:04 PM I know, I been doing way to much walking; last week, I did over 60 miles; this week I am taking a break, before my body goes out on me:lol:
I have that weird muffin top thing goin' on. Not cute. *dies*
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:05 PM Haha, I'm really not that way with my family... but it's all good if I go out with friends or whatever.
I'm touchy-feely with my guy friend because, damn, I've just GOT to touch him. You know? He is so freaking HAIRLESS up top. When he sprouted facial hair as a teen, he didn't get a lot either... and he'd look funny with it anyway. I can't imagine him with chest hair either. But he does have a strip of hair below his belly button (so cute!) and a fuzzy patch of hair on his lower back that I just LOVE to touch.
Sometimes I randomly ask him for a hug, and he's totally cool with that.
Dammit, guys, now I wanna see him :(

Only way I'll ever get rid of mine is a tummy tuck. I lost all that weight and now I'm not supposed to have a tummy anymore, but I do. Fun.

It's not weird of you to be more selective, outside of your family. :)
Oooo, the happy trail (the hair on a man's stomach going.. down)? Nice! ;)
Awwwwww! Hope you get to see him tonight. :)

I actually said this last night, but I'll say it again - he's not a boyfriend. Just a really good guy friend.
It'd been WAY TOO LONG for me since I had a guy friend who I totally clicked with. He ****in' rawks, haha.
dandelion wine 06-20-2007, 04:10 PM Yeah, I am exactly the same way..always been a touchy/feely type of person, which is strange, because both of my parents (and, my brothers) are just the opposite...
Makes you more unique, individual and special though.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:10 PM Only way I'll ever get rid of mine is a tummy tuck. I lost all that weight and now I'm not supposed to have a tummy anymore, but I do. Fun.
Sounds like it.

If you don't mind me asking, how come you guys don't become exclusive? You both are odviously CRAZY about each other.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:11 PM It's not weird of you to be more selective, outside of your family. :)
Oooo, the happy trail (the hair on a man's stomach going.. down)? Nice! ;)

Yup, the happy trail. That's the only hair he has on his chest/stomach. He never grew any chest hair, and I'm perfectly fine with that (too many hairy guys in my family).
I won't be seeing him tonight, but I WILL see him tomorrow. Woo!
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:13 PM If you don't mind me asking, how come you guys don't become exclusive? You both are odviously CRAZY about each other.
Well, I wouldn't say that. We already have an understanding that we're friends. Really good friends, if ya get my drift. And that's fine with me.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:14 PM Girl, you are beautiful...if you want to loose that muffin top, try swimming for an hour; do laps..which are excellent for the hips and the stomach area:)
We really don't have a pool around here that I can do that in. Is there anything else?
When I go to the gym, I usually get on the tredmil and the elipitcal machine. Is that going to help?
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:15 PM Well, I wouldn't say that. We already have an understanding that we're friends. Really good friends, if ya get my drift. And that's fine with me.
Ahhhhhhh, friends with benefits. ;) gotcha.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:19 PM Ahhhhhhh, friends with benefits. ;) gotcha.
Exactly. And it's perfectly fine with me. He's just a really awesome friend to have. I was getting sick of having girlfriends and all that drama, so, ta-da, guy friend.
I grew up a tomboy and always got along with guys better than girls. Just about all the guys I knew when I was growing up, thought it kicked ass that I played video games. And I still do, hehe. I'm more girly these days, but still have a touch of the tomboy.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:20 PM Yes, especially the tredmil..but, you have to work out for an hour; drink a lot of water, and stay away from sweets for a while, too; and within, (since you are young) a month (at the most) no more muffin top!
W00t. Awesome. Cutting out sugar is going to be hard, but I guess I'll just eat some blue berries if I want something sweet. :)
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:20 PM Exactly. And it's perfectly fine with me. He's just a really awesome friend to have. I was getting sick of having girlfriends and all that drama, so, ta-da, guy friend.

I'm the same way, but I really don't play video games. I guess I just think like a guy.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:22 PM W00t. Awesome. Cutting out sugar is going to be hard, but I guess I'll just eat some blue berries if I want something sweet. :)
Naturally sweet food (like fruits) is not a problem - it's the artifical sweets ya gotta watch out for. Like soda and candy, but you know that already. Good luck!
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:25 PM It will not be difficult for you to loose weight; since you are not over weight and you are young; do you like to dance?' when I was your age, I used to grab my walkman and go to my bedroom and dance the night away; it kept me fit...try that, it might work as well:)
I do that anyways, haha.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:26 PM And that is wise, too; jumping into a relationship and becoming too serious, too fast..is not good, usually, the relationship burns out quickly; so take it slow..
Yeah, I'm fine with just remaining friends w/ the benefits. :)
I'm the same way, but I really don't play video games. I guess I just think like a guy.
Ditto. I still do, actually... You're not gonna find makeup in my room. You'll find lotions, colognes, etc. but a lot of the lotions are very old and I don't wear cologne daily. (I have a bottle of 4-year-old Clinique Happy that is nowhere close to being empty) I've never been all about being flashy in my dressing... I'm more practical, no pastels (altho that's changing a little), etc.

Yep. That's me, haha.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:30 PM I was never a tomboy, but like you, most of my dearest friends are guys; men, just make better friends, and are loyal; women, everyone, whom has been a friend has either stabbed me in the back, or ended up being a jealous bitch; so, I totally understand the drama situation..
Exactly. I'm still friends with guys I knew from way back in grade school. Can't really say the same about girlfriends - I'm friends with really just only one girlfriend I knew from grade school and that was 15 years ago. I'm still really good friends with this gal I went to high school with, because we were both major tomboys, so she ACTUALLY UNDERSTANDS.
NO EMPTY CALORIES
Yah, I actually went on a permanent alcoholic beverage sabbatical last month. No more beers for me! I don't want to be overweight again or become an alcoholic. Egads!
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:31 PM Yep. That's me, haha.
Hold on, I'm gonna take a pic of my dresser so you can see. I've got waaaaaaay more knickknacks than girly stuff on mine.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 04:38 PM here's mine
You'll have to excuse the mess. :o
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:39 PM #1: Sorry, I apologize for the pigsty that is my dresser. I'm hardly home anymore, so I just don't take care of the papers that pile up. But yah. If you look, you can see the package with :grr: in it that Sarah gave to me for Christmas in 2005. I've never taken it out of the box, because I don't want :grr: to get all dusty.
#2: The space on my dresser that I designate for my colognes and stuff. Very small amount of space, and all my lotions fell off behind the dresser so it's just colognes now. And I could care less. You can see a pinkish tube in the back there - it's in the back, to the right. It's still full, and I've had that since 1999. That's how often I use it. lol

Yay, I'm not the only slob that eats in the bedroom!
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:45 PM here's mine
You'll have to excuse the mess. :o
Holy ****ing ****, you win. Mine used to be worse when I was a teen... I've got pix online, Imma go look. I love the Curious George you've got sitting on yours.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:46 PM Yay, I'm not the only slob that eats in the bedroom!
Yup, guilty as charged. I had a slice of cake and a bowl of yummy Lucky Charms cereal yesterday.
(can ya tell I'm feelin' the sweets lately? )

I have been, too. And carbs. Urg.
Already Gone 06-20-2007, 04:49 PM I haven't worn a skirt or dress in eight years.
In the summer, i'm all about capris, shortsleeve or sleeveless shirts and cute sandals with a low wedge. My knees are not in good shape and I'm a bit of a klutz so high heels are out for me.
My room is a total mess, but, I know where everything is, sort of.
If I can remember when I get home, i'll take before and after pictures because I intend on cleaning tonight.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:49 PM This was my dresser when I was 17 in early '03.

Me too, whoops.
You just reminded me I haven't eaten yet today. Whoops again.
Already Gone 06-20-2007, 04:52 PM Yay, I'm not the only slob that eats in the bedroom!
I do too! Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Although, now that it is nice out, i'll eat alot of meals in the screenhouse. Midnight snacks are the exception.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 04:55 PM Holy ****, my dresser was far worse when I was a teen. I can't believe it was that bad.
I went on a cleaning rampage shortly after the '05 pictures and dumped like 3/4 of the lotions/body sprays/whatever I had on my dresser at the time.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 05:01 PM Katie also just reminded me that my room is a freakin' pigsty right now. Like I said before, haven't been home very often.
Today, my arm actually isn't hurting that badly so I think I'm gonna tackle my room. I mean, I DID do my laundry yesterday so at least I have that taken care of now. I just need to pick up the contents of my floor.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 05:10 PM My room is a total mess, too; but like you, as well. I am rarely home...
Man, I've gotta dust. I'm surprised I don't walk into a dust cloud every time I open the door to my room. Sometimes it gets so bad that my mom comes into my room and writes a message for me in the dust on my TV screen.
Mr. Television 06-20-2007, 05:25 PM I'd have to check. I know I voted for a few obscure shows like Working Stiffs and Breaking Away.
I think I saw one episode of Breaking Away. Never saw Working Stiffs but I remember the Ads on TV.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 05:31 PM I kinda cleaned my room today. My dresser, odviously, needs some organizing.
PZelda 06-20-2007, 05:38 PM Sonny, I remember Working Stiff. I loved it.
And I just wrote this to my guy friend about my portable DVD player:
>un-****ing-believable. I went to see if I could unlock TVGuardian on my
>portable DVD player, so I can play movies with BOTH captions and subtitles.
>They want $20 JUST to do so. I don't ****ing think so, bud. It's a $180 DVD
>player, I paid enough ****ing money for the damned thing. **** YOU.
>
:wallbang **** YOU, TVGUARDIAN. TAKE YOUR CENSORSHIP AND SHOVE IT UP YOUR DAMN ****ING SMELLY ASS HOLE.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 05:50 PM Sonny, I remember Working Stiff. I loved it.

I've wanted to see Breaking Away ever since I saw the movie several years ago. I know a few of the actors who were in the movie also appeared in the series. I doubt it will ever come to DVD though. :(
I bought a couple of Working Stiffs tapes last summer. It's a pretty good show. :) Kinda reminds me of Bosom Buddies except without the cross dressing. I wish they'd release that on DVD one even though they only made 8 episodes.

Already Gone 06-20-2007, 07:35 PM ^ and two hours later, I'm FINALLY done.
 I washed the clothes, now I just have to dry them. I haven't started the actual clean up. I HAD to order new posters for my room after deciding on the color-theme and finding just the right thing that won't leave me thinking "WTF did I buy that for?"

I looked it up, WS and saw it had JIm BBelushi ( John was the better one) and Michale keaton in it LOL
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 07:56 PM Tara, I had lean ham for dinner with Lemon flavored water, and I'll probably have a salad later.
I'm so proud. :mrtarver:

I know Barbara Barrie was in the tv show. I forget who else. I don't know why I didn't watch it. I think the one I saw was the first episode but I don't remember much of it.
I wish a lot of short lived shows would come out. Michael Keaton had a recurring role in another sitcom called All's Fair in 1977, That starred Richard Crenna and Bernadette Peters and was produced by Norman Lear. I liked that show and wish I could see it again. I think all of NL's shows should come out. Even his flops were pretty good. I loved the Powers That Be with John Forsythe. :)

I bet Norman Lear and Aaron Spelling got in fights over how many shows they had
"Meet me on the set of "Love Boat" at 8 o'clock TONIGHT"

I remember I liked the song "Breaking Away" It had a good beat. I think it was from the movie. I might have seen a few minutes of it. I can't remember.
NL had terrific shows. I remember The Powers That Be, but, back then I probably didn't watch it because I thought it was political. I wish I had watched Sunday Dinner. Robert Loggia was in that.

I can understand that. I really don't like to many political shows unless they don't preach at you like All InThe Family and Family Ties. The Powers That Be was more in that line. Norman Lear shows never seemed to be pushing agendas down your throught. At least I never felt that way. I never saw Sunday Dinner but I thought it was funny that it was paired with reruns of AITF and AITF had better ratings.

 That is not surprising. I was probably more interested in AITF back then. Hell, If they aired it on CBS today with newer show that was similar to it. I'd still rather watch AITF. Did you ever watch 704 Hauser Street? I could not get into that.
I need to go to bed. I'll be around tomorrow.

Yea I watched that show. I thought it was good. It wasn't great like AITF though. CBS only gave it about 5 episodes though.
Courtnee 06-20-2007, 11:10 PM Courntee, you do not need to diet, hun..just exercise..stay active...keeping shape is from exercising, not cutting down on what food(s) you consume; just walk around the block or your neighborhood, and if that is not an opition, an hour on a treadmill..and that is all; and, also drink a lot of water..but, please do not cut down on your calories; first, you do not need to loose weight, you just need to firm a certain area of your body...
(damn, I should write a book, one of these days..LOL)
I'm just cutting out the sugarrrrr.

PZelda 06-21-2007, 04:19 AM goddamnit, you guys, this WICKED insomnia/****ed up sleeping hours are P!SSING ME OFF!
I've been talkin' to my guy friend and I just want to rip him a new one every time. He made it over a year being sober but tonight he had five beers. I just about flew off the handle at that one. There are some other things but yeah, that pissed me off a lot.
GOD **** YOU AND **** ALCOHOL **** YOU ALL
and then he gets to talking about suicide (I'm not even gonna explain the context of that). Started to rip him a new one, because I had a goddamn ****ing 16 year old cousin who BLEW OUT HIS GODDAMN ****ING BRAINS, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. AND HE DIDN'T DO IT CORRECTLY AND ENDED UP ON LIFE SUPPORT FOR 8 HOURS AFTERWARDS.
AND NO I AM NOT PMSING. **** THAT WHAT A STUPID EXCUSE.
Already Gone 06-21-2007, 09:39 AM Since I have some free time this morning, i'll post my "before" pics of my room.

dandelion wine 06-21-2007, 01:51 PM Im here!
Where's Kate Justin and Allison
Hey Jack, sorry we missed ya last night. :)
They are all behind the couch, and they did not invite us...brats:p
Anybody can come back there if they want. :p
dandelion wine 06-21-2007, 01:55 PM goddamnit, you guys, this WICKED insomnia/****ed up sleeping hours are P!SSING ME OFF!
Ok, I'm gonna clean this response up because it's too personal (even though I didn't say too much and there's a good chance that it's been read anyway) - there's a whole lot I wanna say but... damn Allison, I'm so sorry. :(

dandelion wine 06-21-2007, 01:59 PM Since I have some free time this morning, i'll post my "before" pics of my room.
A lava lamp.. I still turn mine on sometimes and I've had that thing since high school! Mine's red, though. :) And the Emergency wallpaper - cool!
When I was in elementary school, that's when my room was at its dirtiest.

I do with mine too, I was going to get a pink one but I liked the blue better.
Since the theme of my room is going to be blue and green.

Ohhh, ok. It looked like you might be starting one in there. I like it a lot. :) Mine's never had a color theme, but there are pictures in there since I'm very sentimental, along with.. well I don't wanna say antiques, although I guess you could say some are (old perfume bottles dating back to the 20s, a dresser that's over 100 years old, etc) because I love collecting those, too. Got a four piece poster bed. Used to have more James Dean memorabilia out (a life-size cardboard stand, clock, calender). Can't say it's an "old-fashioned" looking bedroom; there's enough in there that keeps it from being one. Just cozy and you can tell that I do love the older stuff.

No, I missed it.
Really, it was more of the lack of sleeping/sleeping at decent hours that was making me really snappy last night and caused me to fly off the handle at my friend. He's cool and all, but sometimes he needs a good, hard smack over the head because he refuses to listen. FIVE BEERS IS THE WRONG ANSWER DUMBASS. See, two Guinnesses make me sleepy. But FIVE ****ING BEERS DIDN'T MAKE HIM SLEEPY.
I'm mostly calm today but OMG still pissed off. He's got a line he better be careful to not cross with me when I see him later today. You better believe that if I see any beers in the fridge at his place I WILL DUMP THE WHOLE DAMN THING OUT. I don't care if it's a $10 six-pack. I'm dumping it anyway. And if they're in bottles, SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH SMASH. :D

I used to have a four-poster canopy bed when I was in my early teens. Then I got a double bed in my middle teens because I outgrew the canopy bed - agewise. The Emergency picture on my TV, I was watching one of the dvds so I just left it on there to show off.
I ordered a couple of posters for my room that will match the scheme i'm going for. Decided to leave my walls white so I can just change the scheme of my bedpspread and posters when I need something new.
I'll probably get a couple Hollywood or California posters to go on some of the bare walls and get artificial flowers for the basket on top of my computer center.
Ugh! We've just been issued a sever T-storm watch til 10pm, they're talking supercells with this one. Good lord, it's going to be long evening.

My drapes are denim - don't really like them, eh, but they keep out the sun. :)
Yep, I have a Canon PowerShot SD630 (see pics on page 24 for the quality), and it rawks :)
Already Gone 06-21-2007, 03:45 PM That picture quality is awesome. Mine is a Canon PowerShot A310. It's a nice camera. It would be nice to upgrade someday.

Yah, I just upgraded at the end of January (31st of January, hehe) from a Nikon CoolPix 3100 (they don't even make all-numeric models anymore!), so I was overdue for an upgrade, haha. How long ago did you get yours?
I just loooove mine - it's smaller than a DS Lite (if you've seen/held one) and it fits comfortably in my pocket. I'm going to take a pic. Good thing I still have my Nikon, haha.
PZelda 06-21-2007, 08:01 PM I'm very sorry that your friend is putting you through this, Allison. :(
It's fine now. He just had some stuff going on making him act like that AND throw in the fact I was in a ****ty mood myself.
PZelda 06-21-2007, 08:10 PM #1: my pink DS Lite (shut up, I like pink too, OK? ) and Canon, top to bottom to compare for size.
#2: Camera on top of my DS Lite to show how much smaller it is. Kinky.
#3: Get this, they're the same exact thickness, which is pretty cool. And you can kind of see my yellow/green shirt in the reflection of my camera. Teehee.
Skywalker 06-21-2007, 08:13 PM Like Tara, I love it and I also think it's great that we can all be ourselves in here without worrying. :) Yeah, you've never been easily offended. I might be shocked or surprised by what someone's said, but I don't remember a time when I've been offended by anything in here.
I'm not shocked nor surprised by what someone says anymore. I've heard it all.
It can be!

Skywalker 06-21-2007, 08:29 PM I know Barbara Barrie was in the tv show.
Jackie Earle Haley and John Ashton were also on the show too. They were also in the movie. I'd always wondered what happened to Jackie Earle, thought he faded away then I found out that he was nominated for an oscar earlier this year.
Me too. There's a lot of them I'd like to see. I bought Police Squad last year and that's a pretty good show. I had never seen it before I bought it but I always like the Naked Gun movies so I thought I'd pick it up.
 Norman Lear produced a lot of shows. I never saw the Powers that Be but I heard a lot of good things about it. Yeah, they should put all of the short lived Norman Lear shows on dvd, maybe take all the ones that never lasted a full season and put them on one big box set.
I looked it up, WS and saw it had JIm BBelushi ( John was the better one) and Michale keaton in it LOL
I agree, John was the funnier one but Jim was actually pretty good on Working Stiffs. :)
dandelion wine 06-21-2007, 10:13 PM No, I missed it.

It would've really scared me having him talk that way and then with the beer, after being sober for so long. One of my best friends in high school pulled that, minus the talk of suicide and I was like, "Uh yeah, that'll be real smart." He better listen to you from now on!
I'm so glad you're feeling better today. The insomnia? You know I'm feelin' ya there and I sincerely hope you get those much needed zzzz's asap. :) Oh I believe ya! Now he needs to!

Weren't those beds great?! Oh gosh, I thought it was your wallpaper. Hey, that works. Why not, ya know? It's kinda like including your personality.
That'll be a great idea. I always had white walls in my bedrooms, along with posters - not too many of 'em, maybe three at the same time. Ok, make that five since there was my New Kids on the Block phase. But aside from that, there was James Dean, Jim Morrison, The Doors.
Here in my neck of the woods, we've seen too much rain. I'm gonna Fed Ex the stuff to the east and west of me. ohno: Stay safe, Katie!

I know you've only been asking Justin how he's doing and that this is for him, but... I wanna let you know that I am really sorry about you feeling down today, Mike. It's understandable. Being a huge animal lover, especially when it comes to dogs, it was very hard. A few years ago, my cat died. I'd had him in my life since I was 12 years old.. that was probably the worst. :( And as silly as this may sound, I believe that although they're "just pets," they come around and visit you, just as friends and relatives who've passed on.
Anyhow, like I said, I know this was meant for Justin since you asked how he's doing, but I wanted to let you know. :)

The thread was certainly quiet. I think that people only came in here to take a nap on the couch.

Thanks, Justin. :) I really appreciate your and Kate's and Jenny's kind words tonight. :) There was a lot a drama in the FOL board earlier in the year, and it started to take it's toll after awhile. There was a period in March where I was really thinking that it was time for me to leave SO. I'm glad that I didn't though. :)

Now they don't have to.

That, and I've been attempting to play Zelda: Twilight Princess on my GameCube (I lent my GameCube + games to my friend so he could have a video game console to play with for a while - he had none). I'm finally kickin' some Zelda ass.

I made it though the storms. I had my A/C going and blocked them out. I ended up falling asleep around 9 and pretty much sleeping through the night and woke up around 11am. I'll be around later tonight. Hopefully with some after pictures.

I've heard of many people having bad earaches. I'm lucky that I've only had a single earache in my entire life. I think that was back in first grade. Yeah, probably first grade because I think it was 1982. I woke up one morning and I had this terrible pain in my ear. My mom took me to the doctor and it turned out that I had some kind on infection. It didn't turn out to be anything to serious, thankfully.
I'm glad that you are no longer suffering from earaches. :)

It was scary, but, they were pretty friendly and that always helps.

The sixth season of All In The Family is what's being shown here right now. Next Thursday will be the two-parter where Joey is born. The 6th season is the really the last season that I think was good. I don't think the show was good after that. I especially dislike the final season because Mike and Gloria aren't there anymore.

Oh yeah. I haven't seen it in a long time though because it hasn't been shown here in 14 or 15 years. When I was in 8th grade and a freshman and sophomore in high school, it was aired weekdays at midnight and I would set the timer to record it so that I could watch it the next day after school.

Mr. Television 06-22-2007, 11:31 PM The sixth season of All In The Family is what's being shown here right now. Next Thursday will be the two-parter where Joey is born. The 6th season is the really the last season that I think was good. I don't think the show was good after that. I especially dislike the final season because Mike and Gloria aren't there anymore.
I think I liked every season but the peak years were when Mike and Gloria were on.

I think that the final episode should have been "Stivics Go West" and then have Stephanie arrive when the show becomes Archie Bunker's Place.
Mr. Television 06-22-2007, 11:33 PM Oh yeah. I haven't seen it in a long time though because it hasn't been shown here in 14 or 15 years. When I was in 8th grade and a freshman and sophomore in high school, it was aired weekdays at midnight and I would set the timer to record it so that I could watch it the next day after school.
Wow that's pretty cool. Last time I saw it was a few years ago. A local channel aired it at around 2 am and I'd watch it when I was in bed.

Yeah, that would have been a good idea. I didn't like Stephanie at all.

The Odd Couple is the only Garry Marshall show that I can stomach. I don't even like the movies he's directed...well, not counting Pretty Woman and The Other Sister.

Man I liked all of GM's shows. Pretty Woman and Runaway Bride. lol
Already Gone 06-22-2007, 11:38 PM I'm burnt out on Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley right now.
I like Flamingo Kid, Young Doctors In Love and Beaches out of GM's movies.

I never went overboard with the reruns so I never got burnt out.
Nighthawk76 06-22-2007, 11:45 PM I've only seen parts of Happy Days. I don't think I ever really liked it because it took place during the 1950's and I've never really liked 50's pop culture. Laverne and Shirley I liked for a little while when I was in junior high. I watched it for a couple of months then I just lost interest in it. I never liked Mork and Mindy. I've never seen Joanie Loves Chachi. I probably would not like it because I don't like Chachi.

That's one of the reasons why it happened with Three's Company

Now that happened with me too.

You're not missing much with Joanie loves Chachi. I think they were better on HD before they started dating. I hated the first and 2nd seasons of HD.

I don't think I could ever get sick of "It's a Living" I'm very careful not to go overboard with them.

I don't think that Joanie Loves Chachi has ever even been shown in reruns.

That's probably why I loved it. I loved the 50's.

I doubt it unless TV Land aired a few episodes.
Nighthawk76 06-22-2007, 11:57 PM That's probably why I loved it. I loved the 50's.
I'm more of a 1960's and 1970's person myself. :D

I don't think it has.

I like the 60's but i'm more of a 70's and 80's person.
Nighthawk76 06-22-2007, 11:59 PM Scott Baio was my hero as a kid, so I can forgive him for being Chachi.

It's funny,in the 70's I was all for the 50's and now I'm all for the 70's.
Mr. Television 06-23-2007, 12:02 AM Scott Baio was my hero as a kid, so I can forgive him for being Chachi.
That's right...How can you hate Chachi when your a Charles in Charge fan?
Already Gone 06-23-2007, 12:02 AM Scott was great as Charles on Charles in Charge. That was a good show.
Nighthawk76 06-23-2007, 12:10 AM Scott was great as Charles on Charles in Charge. That was a good show.
He sure was.:D The CBS version of CIC will always hold a special place in my heart because it was the first show I ever watched not counting cartoons. I watched it from day one when it premiered in October of 1984. I don't remember what made me sit down and watch it though. I had no idea at that point who Scott Baio was. I think maybe a friend of mine was going to watched it so I decided to watch it. Charles was like the older brother that I didn't have. Jason was about that same age I was and and he played soccer just like I did, so I could relate to him. I also thought that Lila was such a cutie. I think that after only three episodes had been shown I started taping them (I was able to tape the first three when they were reaired later in the season). Also, we moved in early 1985, so like Charles I got to be "the new boy in the neighborhood." :D
Mr. Television 06-23-2007, 12:11 AM I'm getting tired so I think I'll call it a night. Goodnight Mike and Katie. I'll TTYL :bye:
Nighthawk76 06-23-2007, 12:13 AM That's right...How can you hate Chachi when your a Charles in Charge fan?
Well, Chachi and Charles were two totally different characters. Would you have left your three kids under the supervision of Chachi?

Wow that's great Mike. It's nice you have such wonderful memories of the show. That's what makes classic tv special. :)

That's is really cool. It's really neat when you can relate to a show you really like. I was in high school when CIC came on. Lila and I were pretty close in age. The show that I could relate to was "Family".
Well, i'm going to bed, i'm getting tired. I had fun chatting tonight. I'll see everyone tomorrow. Sleep well. :)
