Happy Weekend Everybody! I know, this thread gets posted earlier and earlier, lol....but it is Friday. What does everyone have planned? We're going to my husband's son's house for a Father's Day cookout. Other than that, not much going on.

I was going to post the same thing. This thread gets posted earlier and earlier. That's cool though, some people start their weekends on Friday afternoons.

I will go to the cemetary to place flowers for my father.

I will be off in a half hour to take my son to school.

I need to get some paperwork together for someone who is filing for divorce so I guess my butt will be stuck here at home for a few hours.

I am enjoying my boyfriend's new job. He goes in late in the afternoon so it gives us time to do things in the afternoon like go have lunch or check out the garden nurseries for more plants and flowers for our backyard garden. I love having the evenings alone. Well, not really alone, I have my kids here, but it is great.

Speaking of starting weekends on Friday afternoon, i'll be leaving in 20 minutes to start mine. It's my mother's 77th birthday today. So, i'll pick up some cold salads so she won't have to cook and we'll eat in the screenhouse
tonight.

Tomorrow, we'll do another celebration when the rest of my family can be there. We'll probably do pizza or hamburgers and hot dogs and of course cake. :liplick:

Sunday, I don't know what is planned for Father's Day yet. Probably, a nice relaxing day. Hopefully, the weather will be nice.

I'd forgotten it was Father's Day until I saw the sign in a card shop.

I'll buy my Dad a card and present tomorrow.

Well, both of my parents are out of town -- my dad until Wednesday and my mom until Sunday (dad left to go camping yesterday morning I think, and my mom just got on the road a little while ago to visit my sibs in the Twin Cities metro area). So I've got the house to myself. :) But I don't plan on being here long, I'm gonna head to a friend's for the weekend and I guess that's really about it.

My boyfriend has to work Father's Day.

My sister and I along with the family will barbecue. I will take a plate of food to my boyfriend. We will celebrate Father's Day on another day I guess.

Tomorrow is my niece's bachelorette party. Two male strippers and drinks are in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;) :D

Not sure what'll be happening this weekend, but it should be pretty quiet and relaxing. We've had thunderstorms off and on this week, and it's expected to continue that way until Sunday or later, I think. So for Father's Day, my brother and I, along with our stepdad's family, will either take him out for dinner or (if the weather cooperates) have a barbeque. :)

I feel great today, first time in a while. I've got a big pot of sauce with meatballs and sausages cooking on the stove. I'll have it with raviolis and garlic bread later, maybe a salad too. My husband loves my sauce, but I haven't felt up to making it for a few months, so just the smell is like heaven to him, lol. He's tired of take-out. I'm also making strawberry shortcake. :happyface

Not much happening this weekend, so far.

I did have lunch with my friend Ivy yesterday, and we made plans to go cosmic bowling at night together with her husband and their seven children (yep, they are a real-life Step by Step family!), but they cancelled. The leagues ended much later than they thought, so I just kicked back at home.

I have to study for my Human Sexuality midterm for this coming Thursday, so I am planning to hang out at a coffee house a couple of times this week so that I can catch up on my readings and study the study guide. We have to write some essays, but the text isn't too difficult. It's about sex.

Yeah... :D ;) Well, not just about the physical act. *teehee* We also have to be able to discuss the biological and psychological aspects of it too. Plus, she gave us a lot of reading handouts and watched some in-class videos.

My mother says "Thank you for all the birthday wishes and for the nice birthday greeting Janice." :) They are really made her smile. Thank you from me too.

We're getting ready to eat out in the screenhouse.

Today, I went over to the Berkshire Mall in Lanesboro, MA and I bought some summer clothes. Then came home and soaked my feet. Went to Walmart this morning but I didn't get anything.

And tomorrow is going to be just as busy I go to work in the morning till about 1:30 then later on I will take my grandpa out for father's day. I would take my dad out but he and my mom are out in Wyoming where my brother lives. So that's pretty much my weekend.

My wife today told me what she wanted to get for me for Father's Day...a new DVD recorder. However, she wasn't sure what was the best brand. Does anybody have one or know what is the best to get?

I have a Phillips dvd recorder and it works great. Panasonic and Sony are also very good, very reliable, in my opinion.
