Sherman Hemsley was better on Amen! The Jeffersons were funniest on All In The Family. The spin off was only so-so. Marla Gibbs also had a better series than The Jeffersons. I like Marla Gibbs better in 227. Of the three, The Jeffersons certainly remained watchable the longest even though quality from episode-to-episode began to get wildly uneven by 1980. |
