Yeah it's me, Miss Terrible-With-Names again. ;)
I can't remember anything about this case except that it involved the disappearance, or possibly the murder, of a young woman. She was either a teenager or in her early 20s. The re-enactment showed her brushing her hair or doing some other beauty care routine at the bathroom mirror, and her mother was there, and she asked her mother if it was ever okay "to go with a married man." Her mother was interviewed in the segment and recounted this tale and said that she had told her daughter that no, it was not okay to do that. I think shortly after this, the girl either disappeared or was found murdered. I can't remember names, places or dates in relation to this segment, the only thing I remember is that small bit in the re-enactment. I have no idea why it has stuck with me through all these years, but the rest of the details have not. If anyone knows which case I'm talking about, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Her name was Rhonda Hinson. She was shot & killed while in her car while driving home from a Christmas party. She had acted strangely shortly before her death, taking showers in the middle of the night telling her mother she couldn't sleep and she felt dirty. She then asked her mother (during the scene where she was doing her hair that you mentioned) if it was ever okay to go with a married man. Several months ago the lady that played her in the reenactment posted on here and I sent her a copy of the segment. I think someone else posted on here who seems to know a lot about the case as well. As far as I know no one was ever arrested for the crime. If you do a search you should be able to find a lot about this case on the boards.

Oh yes, I remember her! I'll look around the board and read up on that case again to refresh my memory. Thank you so much for your help. :)

There is a good thread discussing her case here (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=166193&highlight=Rhonda+Hinson).

It's also viewable on that site with those ever-more-popular "moving pictures" that people post. I'm starting to think these "talkies" aren't just a fad.
