It's the X-mas episode in the last season when Keith had to work at the garage. Penny is part of the group as well, completing the quartet that is supposed to be a version of the Pointer Sisters.

That was in season 3. You can tell Esther Rolle was uncomfortable in that wig she wore when they did the Supremes. I was glad that Esther did not resort in wearing wigs in the show.

The earlier show was what Solomon mentioned, the Rent Party. Penny wasn't around yet. The ladies sang a song by The Supremes "Stop In the Name of Love". That is when Florida wore a really bad wig. :lol:

They were, but their career was at a low when that episode first aired. "Fire" was a big hit in early 1979 and made them hot.

I didn't think that Florida's wig looked all that bad. It looked like the wigs that the Supremes wore back in the 60's to me. :)

The talent/variety shows on Good Times struck me as natural and making sense in relation to the plot - which is more than I can say for other sitcoms. *coughFullHousecough*
