Oxnard is a city in Ventura County.
The community was named after Henry T. Oxnard, owner of the American Beet Sugar Co. One of the first employees to work there was my grandfather.
The latitude of Oxnard is 34.197N. The longitude is -119.176W.
Pacific Standard Time
Known as the STRAWBERRY CAPITOL OF THE WORLD. We also grow citrus, lettuce, celery, avocados and various other vegetables and fruits that eventually lands on your dinner table. :D
Although Oxnard has vast agricultural fields, we are also a beach community.
Oxnard has been used for various films and television productions. The movie ZODIAC with Robert Downey Jr. was partially filmed here. Also, the movie SIDEWAYS, ERIN BROCKOVICH, etc. Too many movies to list.
