View Full Version : So Mr. T was trying to BOOST the Ratings for Diff'rent Strokes?
TVFactFan 05-26-2007, 07:47 PM He damm sure wasn't on Diffrent Strokes to boost the ratings of the NEW Show at the Time, "A-Team"-lol The A-Team finished it's first season in the Top 10 so I guess they were trying to pull some of the A-Team viewers over to Diffrent strokes
BTW: Arnold looked like a African Girl when he was changed himself into Mr. T since he didn't have any facial Hair-LOL
Ireneparalegal 05-26-2007, 07:48 PM At that time Mr. T was everywhere on television.

Well he could have made an appearance on Diffrent Strokes without Arnold having a Mr. T Cut-lol

I can't even remember why Arnold did that. Why did he do that?

The Mr. T episode was better than when they tried to Knock off the Mr. T character by having a woman bodyguard for Mr. Drummond called Mrs. T.

To impress Dudley's Cousin
The A-Team was actually in its second season at the time(it had debuted
on NBC in January 1983).

Nope, I never said recheck the post. I said that the A-Team was a New show at the Time which had just completed a successful first seeason that was a HIT and that's why I figured he was on there to help the sagging ratings of DS
88survivor 06-05-2007, 08:39 PM Don't forget the 1984 Olympic medalists at the time, too.
They were hot stuff back in the 80s because of that event during that time.
sugamama 06-05-2007, 10:09 PM I agree with the previous post Mr. T was so popular back then and he was everywhere. Didn't he even have a Mr. T doll or should I say action figure:lol:? Wasnt the A team on NBC and DS on ABC? I can't remember.

before i saw the episode on youtube until it was removed, i had this image of arnold as mr t wearing a fake beard and moustache, with the gold chains etc. well, he had the gold chains, earrings, the outfit, even the mohican cut:lol: but the moustache was missing. he looked like mr T's son more than a mini mr T, or mr T before he hit puberty that is :rotflmao: :brent
ThomasE 11-22-2007, 11:26 AM I am in tears over that "African Girl" comment. LOL.
GARFIELDKOOL 11-23-2007, 11:17 AM They had that Knight Rider crossover too.

david hasselhoff made a guest appearence on that show. memorable moment in that episode was when he said 'hi there, what are you doing in this car? it is loaded with dynamite' and arnold goes 'whatcha talkin' about knight rider!'
