View Full Version : Tammy Lynn Leppert (I know, AGAIN!)
spark19 05-24-2007, 11:35 PM I've been absent for a while, but I ran a quick search and didn't see anything about this. I post in a few livejournal communities, and found this:
http://fourfour.typepad.com/fourfour/2007/05/swan_brooner_no.html
...which led me to this:
http://community.livejournal.com/howtheylooknow/378011.html
...and finally, this:
http://www.myspace.com/swanbrooner
And I REALLY hope that that's a fake (I sent them a message informing them of just who exactly that was a picture of, in case they didn't know). But I don't know, I find it upsetting that someone is using a photo of Tammy Lynn Leppert (which can be seen here: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/l/leppert_tammy.html) as a photo of themselves.
I suppose it's good to get her face out there, but not when everyone thinks that she's some 13 year old girl...
Am I the only one who has seen this?
LooksLikeCRicci 05-24-2007, 11:45 PM No, I just looked. I'm not as up on the Tami Lynn Leppert case as I should be, but can we be sure that these pictures ARE of Tami? She has so many of them on her page that it makes me think they might actually be OF her... she's also claiming to be 21.
I have no idea, really. (SIDENOTE: Holy crap! I just clicked on the LAST link you left. That IS interesting! I just thought it was a gal who looked like TLL. I had no idea she was using the EXACT same pic! Nice eye!)
*1000th POST! WOO!*
justins5256 05-24-2007, 11:46 PM It is very distasteful (and a little creepy) that she is using that photo of Tammy. What's weird is the caption to that photo reads "me rite now at age 12!" but the profile age is listed as 21. Hmmm. I wonder if this is some kind of strange "myspace bot".

Well, she claims to be 21, but after some really quick research, this Swan Brooner girl is a real pageant girl and she's only 13 or so.
There are quite a few photos, but if I recall, the Charley Project is a reputable site, no? And if that photo isn't of Tammy Lynn Leppert, I'm sure that her sister will be able to confirm that since she does post on these boards periodically...

Hmmm...it's quite possible! It is making the rounds though, and apparantly fourfour.typepad.com is a pretty popular site, so it's kind of turning into more than just a fake myspace :/

SP4CE INV4DERZ 05-25-2007, 10:56 AM Suzanne, has anyone ever come forward with any possible news on Tammy? 24 years later it must be agony what you have and are going through. It seems like she just dissappeared off the face of the Earth. Surely someone out there somewhere knows something and I hope you find some resolution sooner rather than later.
leafygreens 05-25-2007, 12:19 PM She probably listed her age as 21 because myspace doesn't allow you to register as a 12 year old. Myspace is full of bots and scammers anyway, I wouldn't believe half of what is on there.
nohwheregirl 05-25-2007, 03:47 PM Yeah, I think it's a fake myspace profile that a "fan" set up for Swan. I haven't seen the "Living Dolls" documentary that is mentioned, but I bet all of the info in the profile comes from the documentary. If you look closely there are no personal thoughts included in the statement, just biographical information and someone's poor attempt to make it sound like it's written in the first person. It's pretty creepy, but I get the impression that they somehow thought Tammy's photo was really of this girl and it is quite an unfortunate mistake. I see that a couple people commented about it on the first webpage you linked.
Fletch 05-26-2007, 03:08 AM I was watching Scarface the other night and was wondering if the scene Tammy was in (or supposed to be in) was ever put into the film.
In the scene where the two men hired by Frank try to assassinate Tony at the Babylon club, I think I may have spotted her. Richard Belzer, the comedian/actor introduces "Octavio The Clown" as the song "Strangers in the night" starts playing.
The camera cuts to Tony, sitting at his booth and then cuts to the would-be assassins, who have their firearms on the table under some napkins.
Then, the next shot is of Octavio trying to coax a young, blond woman in a blue dress to (presumably) dance with her. If you pause at that scene and look closely, it strongly resembles Tammy Lynn Leppert.
Now, it has been confirmed that her scenes were shot, and she suffered a breakdown in her trailer afterward. What I didn't know, and didn't know if it had ever been mentioned, was if the scene made it into the final cut.
If any of you have access to the movie, please check it out when you have a chance and let me know what you think.
suzannec4444 05-26-2007, 08:32 AM Hi
Tammy is the girl walking up and then talking to some guys in a car before some guy gets his head cut off by a chain saw.

dynoguy88 05-26-2007, 02:24 PM Interesting about "Scarface." I'll have to check that out.
I also remember much confusion here over Tami's role in "Spring Break," since she wasn't listed in the cast at the Internet Movie Database. Apparently she had a non-speaking part in the movie and I guess if you don't have any lines, they don't include you in the cast list. But I'm sure her name is mentioned in the ending credits.
What scene she is actually in, I don't know. In an old article, all it said was that she was one of the girls on the beach wearing a bikini.
suzannec4444 05-26-2007, 02:56 PM Hi
They say she was Tess in Spring Break.I don't know. She is the blond knocking out some guy in the ring either in spring break or little darlings.I believe she was an extra.Starting out in the movies.

I think the scene is where "Manny Ribera"(Steven Bauer) is waiting with "Chi Chi"(Ángel Salazar) in a car ,for "Tony Montana"(Al Pacino) and "Angel"(Pepe Serna),the guy whose head was cut off by the chainsaw. Manny calls the attention of a beautiful blonde in a blue bikini. From what you have said , suzanne, I think this girl is Tammy.

Sounds like a charming scene. Thanks for reminding me why I never watched Scarface or anything similar.
But I did see Spring Break. I don't remember a boxing scene but there was mud wrestling in a night spot so Tammy could have been in that scene and knocked someone out of the ring.

Thanks for clearing that up, Suzanne. You'd think that due to the movie's cult following these days that Tammy's name would be mentioned with it more often (like on Investigative news shows like Dateline, etc.).

It's actually a pretty good film...Not the greatest one out there, but definitely worth seeing.

Not for me. I like dialogue-based clever films. In short supply the last 20 years or so. If it's action or violence, I pass. I still haven't forgiven the so-called friends who took me to see Pulp Fiction in '94.
So how does Spring Break fit in? Excellent question.
Let's see, it fits in with Fast Times, Private School, Hardbodies and other cinematic triumphs of that era.

What? "Say hallo to my lil' fren!!" isn't up to your standards of clever dialogue? :p Anyway, you shouldn't knock Fast Times while I'm around. It's a classic and every other teen movie made since has just been a weak attempt to immitate it. Sean Penn should have won an Oscar for it...you think I'm kidding.
Back on topic: Suzanne, I didn't realize that Tammy was in Little Darlings too! That's one of my favorite movies! It sounds like people in the movie biz reallly thought she had potential.

Yeah. In that scene she's propped up on the car with her elbows resting on the door, talking to Manolo (Steven Bauer). He starts getting "handsy" and she demures but stays talking to him. Then Manny, being the dashing and charming sensitive man that he is, proceeds to flick his tongue back and forth out of his mouth at about 100mph. Beach Blonde (Tami) reacts appropriately and slaps him HOARD. The best part is after she walks off. Manny, in his thick Cuban accent, goes "Beeetch!! Laysbeeyahn!!"
What a great film

No, no. I was hardly knocking it. I loved that movie and still do. It fits with those other movies only in time frame and basic genre. In terms of quality there's no comparison. It had Phoebe Cates, 'nuff said.

You're thinking of two different scenes. The "tongue" scene is at a resort, and it happens after the cocaine deal/chainsaw scene with the Columbians (which includes the scenes Tammy is in).
BTW, you can see the chainsaw scene (which Tammy is in) on the site that shall not be named....just enter "Scarface Chainsaw Scene."
James T 05-28-2007, 08:23 AM It is a quality film, probably suffered from being compared to the original on release- never knew what scene she was in but if that was her leaning on the car she was hot.

aw HOT DAMN!! You, sir, are correct!!! When he starts getting handsy, she deftly slides away and keeps talking to him. But then she just ultimately gets fed up and walks away. He then slaps the car door, muttering "Conyo Mayng!!" Then looking up towards the hotel room.
I take pride in being able to recall movie scenes accurately, especially when they come from a cinematic masterpiece such as Scarface. The fact that you have bested me woul dusually rbing me much shame. However, and this is a big however, being corrected by someone named "Fletch" is more of an honor. I feel no shame. In fact, I haven't felt this honored since I flew back from Provo, Spain and shared seats with Morris and Pierre Cavanaugh.

SitcomsAreTheWay 06-16-2007, 02:37 PM Looks like I'll now have to watch that part of Scarface over again to see if I see her.
I remember reading somewhere that there was a certain man Tammy was extremely frightened of and not only that, she was also 3 months pregnant at the time of her disappearance. I was like, "WHOA!", especially regarding the second detail. But you never know what may be true or false. I certainly don't know.
ms_bates 07-15-2008, 12:59 AM I'm familiar with that scene in Scarface, a bit eerie now that I realize that was Tammy. I've followed this case for several years since first seeing it on UM when I was a child.
Suzanne, I'm very sorry that you have gone so many years without finding your sister. I've seen you around websleuths.com, (I haven't joined yet because of their policy on "no free email accounts" but I hope to sign up soon) and I must say, you show much dedication to finding your sister. I truly hope that someday, you will find the answers that you are searching for.

if it's allowed i'd love to see them too, i tried to find a clip on-line of the Scarface chainsaw scene and i couldn't find it, only the video game version..
i do remember trying to find her on the film Spring Break many years ago, but i never was able too...

thanks for the link, she is the blonde in the blue bakini right ?, so sad what happened to her, and watching that footage was rather depressing knowing she is still missing after all these years, and what a beautiful woman she is too....it's strange but knowing the backround about her case and the fact she is still missing, to me almost makes her seem bigger than the film, meaning she's an extra in such a small scene but she seems as much a big star as the rest of the cast...., i hope one day she is found, so she can finally be put to rest and the family can get closure...:(

According to what her sister said earlier in this thread, I believe that is indeed her.
Her disappearance was so mysterious. I really hope that one day, some answers come to light.

it certainly looks like her...., and yes i hope for some answers to , i can't imagine losing someone i love like that...., not knowing, it's gotta be true heartache :(
As filming goes she was most likely, especially as an extra without lines go, not on the set of the shower chainsaw scene. Think in terms of shots, there would be no reason whatso ever to have her or any of the many extras and even some of the regulars with line, on that set.
As to what happened to Tammy, her disappearance was planned, even teh police were notified of this intent before it happened.
Suzanne is doing exactly what Linda did before Linda passed away, running interference for any exposure of the truth while promoting the illusion.
After Linda passed away I thought this whole thing would be over with, or at least the cycle of reminders being sent my way would stop, until Suzanne contacted me. Even from the beginning there were reminders being sent my way.
On one hand I was being kept out of the media while on the other being given reminders by others which included Tammy herself.
Why? What is this obsession Tammy and company seem to have about me?
I believe for the truth to come out it would be found out why.
Suzanne is running interference to hide the truth, why?
What other names do those involved, go by, ie, pen names, alias, etc..
After the missing person act was pulled and the illusion of a search was going, Linda mentioned to me, regarding Pennsylvania Mafia connections, that she checked and they didn't know anything.
In hindsight Linda and Wing lied to me a lot. Whether or not Linda had such connections I don't know but I also don't doubt. So what if she did? Seems to be compared to the 700 billion bailout and more at the hands of the US government, the Mafia is really rather small time. Point is, So What of any Mafia connections?
I believe for the truth to come out, it would be found that they simple wanted to capitalize off my talent. Its really not uncommon for me to inspire people, whether I want to or not, and unfortunately for me I rarely get the credit I deserve.
Regardless of what ever other reasons for the disappearing act, there has to be some reason why there has been this persistent effort to remind me on one hand while on the other hand communicating to other to dismiss me.. And often these reminders have had absolutely and clearly nothing to do with investigation.
What is it called when you use someone for creative inspiration but to your benefit and not theirs, but at worse, to their demise?
Tammy is not really missing. and for what ever other reasons, it has become clear that she has been used as a hook into me, a way to mess with me. I made the mistake of caring enough to allow that hook, but certainly not to my awareness. I was fooled, as has been all the public that has heard the illusion.
there is a reason why.... but lets see what happens to this thread first.
spelling correction edits of this and the above...
