Any changes from your original rankings? Only a few have switched around for me, and not by much.
1. Chris Richardson (My #1 fave from the start. He may not have been the best vocalist, but he was still awesome in so many different ways and for me, the show would've been even more boring without him there. He's definitely a star in the making. I still love him and I always will! )
2. Blake Lewis (He grew on me so much throughout the competition - he always captivated me with his unique, stand-out performances. Amazing for someone whose audition I hated, LOL. He's an original and a true musician...just a couple of many things I admire about him.)
3. Gina Glocksen (She used to be my second favorite, but Blake won me over easily after she got eliminated. I do still love her though and I'm glad I found a girl this season that I can actually idolize.)
4. Melinda Doolittle (She bored me occasionally, but most of her performances were really amazing. No doubt that she's one of the best vocalists the show's ever seen. Plus she seems incredibly sweet! Again, another girl I can actually call my IDOL.)
5. Phil Stacey (Even though he also bored me sometimes and was wildly inconsistent throughout the competition, I loved his voice and his down-to-earth personality. Seeing him in all his interviews with Chris after they both got eliminated made me love him more.)
6. Jordin Sparks (She was one of my favorites since the auditions and during the semi-finals, then she became overrated and super-pimped by the judges, producers, fans, and their moms. I don't know, so many things about her irked me later on, LOL. She does have a great voice though and some of her performances have been goosebump-inducing for me. After she won last night, the animosity I felt towards her and anyone pimping her just sort of went away. She's a year YOUNGER than me, yet I look up to her. She's going to do great things. Congrats on your win Jordin!)
7. Chris Sligh (He came off as an ass sometimes, but other times I loved his wit and sense of humor. As for his singing, he did have a good voice. I think he got screwed over by his song choices during the finals. His semi-final performances were also good, but not that memorable.)
8. Stephanie Edwards (I didn't like her much when I first saw her. It wasn't until she left that I realized how much I DID like her. She could've been more versatile with her song choices, but I did love her voice and that contemporary R&B vibe she gave off. She also seemed really nice.)
9. Lakisha Jones (I was so irked by how overrated she was at first and so bored by her predictable song choices. She's an amazing singer, but she lacked the stage presence I saw in most of the other contestants.)
10. Sanjaya Malakar (I don't think he's the best singer, but he's a brilliant entertainer and a fun-loving person. Even if you don't like his singing, he can still make you smile and laugh. That's why I love him <3 )
11. Brandon Rogers (Used to like him over Sanjaya, but when I thought about it, I just saw nothing memorable about him, unlike Sanjaya, who I have a few fond memories of, LOL! Brandon had a great voice and so much potential, but he failed to deliver. His song choices sucked and his performances were forgettable. I admire his positivity and strong spirit though.)
12. Haley Scarnato (My least favorite since the top 12 and she still is. I thought most of her performances were bad and that those that were considered "entertaining" were fake. Plus I hated how she wore close to nothing on the bottom half of her body almost every week during the finals. But...all that negativity I had about her is almost gone. I still think she's one of the worst vocalists and performers in the top 12, but she does deserve credit for a few good performances. Plus, I saw an interview of her on Idol Extra and she seems really nice.)
That's all.
