Questions: How long did this original song last, and when was it shortened to the theme that runs on syndication and TV Land today? Is the extended song what appears on the appropriate seasons DVD's?

I think that was recorded specifically for the album. The show never had the extended theme in it. It did, however, have the lyrics at the beginning for the end theme in the first season.
