Walker 04-19-2007, 12:57 PM Blackadder is a brilliant show and a true classic. Though the first series left alot to be desired, the following three series made the show supendous. Belair 04-21-2007, 06:24 AM Black Adder was great. I thought Rowan Atkinson is funnier in that than he is as Mr Bean, but i appreciate that it's different types of comedy, and Mr Bean was a brilliant character created by Atkinson and was funny in his own way. TJL 04-21-2007, 10:05 AM Blackadder is probably my favorite Britcom. Such a funny and brillaintly written show. If you ever get a chance, pick up a copy of the book that has the complete scripts of all four series. It's a great read. Furienna 04-21-2007, 06:06 PM Oh, good old Blackadder! Yeah, it sure is a classic! It can be nasty at times, but nevertheless, a historical sitcom is not something, that I will miss. Race's Girl 06-12-2007, 05:52 PM Yeah, it was great and I liked the episodes with Lord Flashheart in them Furienna 06-12-2007, 11:09 PM Lord Flashheart migth not be my favorite though. He's just... too much. MariposaLKB 06-13-2007, 08:05 AM This would also have to be my favorite Britcom! When I see Hugh Laurie on "House" now, I can't believe it's the same man who used to make me roll on the floor with his dimwitted characterizations! And Rowan Atkinson was gorgeous in the Elizabethan series IMHO LOL! Such an innovative idea, to tell the history of one family over several series with fabulous costumes and sets and over-the-top humor! Furienna 06-13-2007, 05:45 PM Yeah, Rowan Atkinson sure looked the best in the Elizabethan times. He was almost handsome in beard! Even the moustache in the fourth series helped. I guess he's one of the few men, who actually look better with facial hair than without. MariposaLKB 06-15-2007, 08:50 AM And for that matter, Hugh Laurie was pretty cute back then himself LOL! (Still handsome now, but in a more rugged way.) Mikado 06-18-2007, 08:16 PM Funny show, I loved Baldrick....funny thing is, in real life, Tony Robinson (Baldrick) is a highly intelligent, well-educated man, with a university degree, and yet, he played a MORON! Furienna 06-19-2007, 12:32 AM Well, that's good acting, I guess. :D Mikado 06-19-2007, 10:30 AM Well, that's good acting, I guess. :D  harryfielder 07-12-2007, 01:42 AM A very clever and funny show....more please... Aitch UK wondergirl9847 09-05-2007, 12:33 AM Blackadder is my favorite Brit-com. I could watch this show over and over again. Never fails to make me laugh even though I know the punchlines and what's going to happen. Rowan's delivery and facial expressions are a sight to behold. And yes, he was gorgeous in the 2nd (and 3rd) series. Heh. Hugh is not ugly either. harryfielder 09-05-2007, 01:46 AM I'll have to buy the DVDs to watch it again (and again) :D Aitch UK Mikado 09-05-2007, 04:52 AM This would also have to be my favorite Britcom! When I see Hugh Laurie on "House" now, I can't believe it's the same man who used to make me roll on the floor with his dimwitted characterizations! And Rowan Atkinson was gorgeous in the Elizabethan series IMHO LOL! Poor Tony Robinson, no one is calling HIM gorgeous! Have any of you been watching his various educational series such as Time Team and History's Worst Jobs? ( The man will try anything it seems! ) MariposaLKB 09-05-2007, 07:01 AM Yes I have seen the one about the worst jobs, and was amazed at his intelligence LOL! Mikado 09-05-2007, 07:22 AM Hes quite intelligent, actually.......takes a great intelligence to play a moron ;) Niles&CCFan 10-02-2007, 10:07 PM I LOVE Blackadder. All four series. Rowan Atkinson is an absolute comic genius. This has to be, IMO, the best Britcom EVER! Plus I love Blackadder's Christmas Carol, The Cavalier Years, Back & Forth... I wish they would make a Blackadder 5... Long live Edmund Blackadder! Mikado 10-03-2007, 10:28 PM i think the second series set in Elisabethan England was the best of the lot (Especially the totally ditzy and selfish Queen E the first, what a b*tch!) coffield3 10-20-2007, 09:03 AM Its a great britcom, my dad loved it. Rowan Atkinson is a talented bloke. Furienna 10-20-2007, 09:36 AM Wasn't there an episode, where Lord Flashheart said furniture had orgasms when he sat on them? coffield3 10-20-2007, 11:04 AM Wasn't there an episode, where Lord Flashheart said furniture had orgasms when he sat on them? I wish my furniture would do that! Mikado 10-20-2007, 05:06 PM :eek2: Furienna 10-20-2007, 07:24 PM Really, can someone confirm that? |
