The Temptations miniseries was good as well. I'd also love to see The Thorn Birds, Centennial and Roots, which are all on DVD now if I'm not mistaken.

The Rebels - (the Kent Family Chronicles), from the late 70's, it was set during the Revolutionary War and had Andrew Stevens in it.
The North & South, it was set during the civil-war and had Patrick Swayze in it.

I'd also love to see the North & South saga. Genie Francis (aka General Hospital's Laura) played Patrick Swayze's sister if I'm not mistaken.

Ohhhhh, you reminded me of those mini-series' that use to air back in the 70's and The Rebels were one of them. The other one I loved was one called THE IMMIGRANTS. It starred Sharon Gless. Those were some good stories. They were books made into mini-series and they always aired on the same channel.

There were alot of good ones in the 70's & early 80's. Alot of them came on before we had a VCR so I never got to tape them. Wonder if they ever run on cable?

I have never seen them again since they aired back in the 70's. But you make me want to look them up and see if they are available on Amazon.
