View Full Version : Anyone else have any embarassing moments in public? I had my first one Today
TVFactFan 04-04-2007, 05:45 PM I was on my way home and when it was time for me to get off the bus, the back doors open and I slipped and just FLEW off the Bus and landed on the sidewalk while everyone on the bus watched me laying on the ground. I was so mad at myself, this never hapened to me before. This older lady asked me was I ok and I said-"I'm just embarassed" It could have been worst, there could have been pretty women in my age bracket walking past when I flew of the bus.

Oh wow, that could have really been bad. Are you sure you are not injured or in pain? Sometimes things flare up later. I hope nothing happened physically.
As for embarrassing things in public, I had one abt a year ago. I was walking with my boyfriend and our son to a carnival and right as we started walking on the grassy area, my foot went into this hole, it looked like a gopher hole, anyways, there went my ankle to the side and I fell forward. I tried real hard to keep from falling (you know, waving your arms abt  like you are on a trapeeze) and BOOM! I FELL HARD!!!!!!!

GARFIELDKOOL 04-04-2007, 06:50 PM Oh yeah, I tripped many times in the open and slipped on ice. Usually there is nothing you can do except play it off, keep walking like nothing happened.
gilligan fanatic 04-04-2007, 07:01 PM I tripped walking up the stairs at school one time but I just said, "darn those wet stairs" even though I knew they were dry.
Janice 04-04-2007, 07:03 PM I've wiped out a few times in my life. It's always embarrassing. Sorry to hear about your accident Solomon. That's a yikes if I ever heard one! You're a big guy too. That must have really been something. I'm glad you're okay buddy.
Mr. Stefani 04-04-2007, 07:06 PM Ive fallen in public many times. I just laugh it off, i'm most likely never going to see those people again I couldn't care less.
PZelda 04-04-2007, 07:27 PM Oh geez, why am I thinking of that scene in Borat where Borat and Azamat are fighting in the nude, and they take their fight to a banquet room? Oh man.
Anyway, um. Can't really think of anything like that in particular. There was this one time about three months ago when I was crossing an one-way street. I stepped off the curb, and immediately proceeded to fall facedown on the street and get my pants dirty. I was soooo embarrassed, even though there was nobody around at the time.
And when I was at Venice Beach almost three weeks ago, this one street artist yelled at me because he thought I was taking a picture of him -- I wasn't even taking a pic of him. I was embarrassed over that, but I just thought "whatever" and shrugged it off. lol
Brad Russ 04-04-2007, 07:29 PM I've had so many emabarrassments in public, it's not even funny. On my trip alone, I probably had close to a dozen. LOL!! Embarrassing public moments have become such a common occurance in my life, that they're not even embarrassing anymore.
I tripped going up the stairs at our old apartment building and there were several people coming down. It didn't hurt but it sure did embarrass me.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 04-04-2007, 08:55 PM :rotflmao: Thats happened to me so many times when I was in school. Cant even remember Ive just fallen getting off or on the bus.
Brieannas21 04-04-2007, 09:59 PM :brent glad that you are OK but that gave me a laugh.
Almost 5 years ago it was snowing and it was very icy out. And I was leaving a friends house, I was walking down some steps and I just slipped and fell down 5 steps in front of everyone. I broke my wrist and scrapped up my elbow.

Number 9 Dream 04-04-2007, 10:14 PM Hahhaa, yeah, a few weeks ago, actually. No one was around to see me fall, but I was going up a staircase at school (there was a door at the top of the landing), but I missed a step and went sailing up to the landing. The reason it was so embarrassing was because it was the biggest crash--my full backpack went down, not to mention my knees and elbows.
And when I finally composed myself and opened the door, two guys that were on the other side of the door were staring at me, LMAO. I just walked to my next class and pretended it was their imagination :D
An 80s Guy 04-04-2007, 10:21 PM In middle school I used to fall while while walking up the steps just about every day.
Max Whittaker 04-04-2007, 10:38 PM Hell yeah! It's good for you to be embarrassed as often as possible. Reminds you that you're human!
dawsongirl 04-04-2007, 11:00 PM When you live in an icy state, you're bound to fall on your ass from time to time. I fell a month or two ago in the school parking lot. I don't think anyone saw, which was good.
I also seem to act like a ****** in public, by leaving things behind, ending up in the wrong line, or other similar stupid looking things.
treky 04-06-2007, 02:42 AM OH HELL YEA!! I've had embarrising falls in public more times than I care to remember!
I remember one time back in 1981; I slipped and fell on my ass on a patch of ice; coming out of a store and I remember I was laying there cursing; and I looked up and a guy was standing there staring at me:lol:
gidgetgrape 04-06-2007, 02:55 AM I'm sorry you fell Solomon! I don't know how you've been able to bypass public embarrassment this long. I've been tripping like Dick Van Dyke since I was a kid. I once fell and the girl in back of me wasn't paying attention and fell on top of me.
Janice 04-06-2007, 03:11 AM Years ago, I was a hostess in a very nice restaurant. I was seating a party of four, and I caught my heel on the rug and fell flat on my face. All dolled up with a nice dress on, full makeup, hair fixed nice...and I'm lying face down like an idiot, with four menus around me.
When I was about 11, our school had a fire drill. I was walking on the sidewalk and not paying attention. I walked right into a sign pole. Full face smash. I saw stars on that one.
phoebe7165 04-06-2007, 09:25 AM Well, I'm so glad to see that I'm not the only klutz here!!;) I've tripped and fallen quite a few times "in my day"! Not really getting hurt, just really embarrassing, like everybody's saying.
Except one time, I tripped walking to a building, and I fell on my knees. When I got back to my car, my knees were throbbing.
spunkygirl 04-06-2007, 02:23 PM I'm sorry Solomon I'm glad you're allright, but I have to laugh
I haven't had any embarassing moments recently that I can think of, I am pretty clumsy though
TVFactFan 04-06-2007, 02:25 PM When I told my Mom I fell she called me-"CLark Griswold" because she said that is something he would have done
spunkygirl 04-06-2007, 02:29 PM When I told my Mom I fell she called me-"CLark Griswold" because she said that is something he would have done

G-Force Glockstar 04-06-2007, 02:52 PM omg I've had soo many embarrassing moments in public!! Some of the most embarrassing ones I can think of on top of my head right now are farting in front of other people & falling! :embarrassed:
G-Force Glockstar 04-06-2007, 02:54 PM Sanjaya Malakar: I made the top 8 on American Idol
