Good morning friends! Another lovely Saturday here in Beantown. Today, I've got a spring project that I'm going to tackle. Not fun, but needs to be done, lol. As usual, I'm hoping for a movie from Netflix.

It's going to be beautiful outside today so I think clean of a patio chair and do some reading out on the deck. Then i'll watch some Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman and maybe go for a walk.

Good morning gang!

I am working 3-11 tonight so I will try to do stuff around the house before then. It is a lot cooler here in Virginia then it has been the last couple days. It was 80 degrees on Wednesday day and yesterday it didn't even make it into the 60's.

Hello, everyone :D

I'm about to enjoy a bit of the morning air in a few minutes and walk my dog, then I'll probably have some breakfast :) I'm not really doing too much today other than working 2:30-10 :( I wish I had off today so I could go to the track and get some walking in.

Yeah, we have set schedules at the place I work at--I work every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, unfortunately :( I hope to take some off too :)

Just wondr4d, why do ya guys have a new thread every weekend? You could have all these in one thread.

Number 9 Dream

Hm, I wondered this myself, but then I realized it's probably better this way. An old thread might get lost under the new threads, and if one was stickied, it might get posted in all the time and I think it's cool that it's limited to just weekends :)

Umm. Let me think. Yesterday was the beginning of my weekend. :) So yesterday, I went to the mall and managed to find a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for myself. (my screen name here is from the Zelda series, BTW. It's short for Princess Zelda, a [nonplayable] character commonly found in the Zelda series - she's my favorite, haha.)

I don't know what else I've got going on here today... except a lot of homework, blah. :(

Good afternoon everyone, I hope things are well.

Our top story from TJL land, I actually worked a full five days this week! Although we're still laid off, we had a few side projects to keep us busy. It looks like I'll be working next week too.

Not really sure if I like this latest development, becasue I really got used to sleeping until after the sun came up.

Anyhoo, I worked my doorman shift at the Gaf last night, which was pretty uneventful. The bar was pretty crowded last night (it's been pretty dead the last two or three Fridays) so the guys must have been happy.

My ladyfriend was there with some work friends celebrating her birthday - again! I chatted with her a few times, but it was hard to get in more than a minute or two with me working and her friends..

We did trade a few text messages during the night. SHe wanted to see a movie today but... since she was coming down with a cold last night and she was out with her friend until 3, she wasn't feeling well today.

I called her this afternon to see how she was doing, and she sounded awful, although she did say that if she was feeling better tomorrow, we could do something.

I have to work the Gaf tonight, which should be pretty busy with all the NCAA games today. I'm not too sure how much longer I'll be working Friday and Saturday nights there. Sure the extra money is good, but if I'm working again, I would much rather spend my Friday night drinking to forget about my job and talking to this really nice girl I like who I'm pretty sure feels the same way.

ANyhoo, that's the news from the front. I'll report on more tomorrow.

;)

God kväl, allihopa! Good evening, everyone!

Well, I just worked my five-hour shift at work earlier today. I am now home and relaxing. I realllllllllllllllllly wanna check out this thing called "Learn to Partner Dance" and just hang out over there. I am hoping that I can find a single guy to dance with. I have no one to dance with, unfortunately. :( I am not 100% whether or not I will go, but it should be in about 1-1.5 hours from now until I decide.

My pregnant Mexican cousin is in town this weekend, and I would like to take her. I just get the feeling she's easily tired and isn't too into dancing at the moment. She's already six months (nearly seven) pregnant, and she is having problems bending over. I think she's feeling fatigued already.

I am going to eat something first and then get ready. Ta-ta!

Today I went on a first date with a guy named Pat and it was ok. Hes a nice guy, just no sparks. I found myself thinking about Curt the whole time, and Im thinking of seeing if he wants to go out for lunch on Monday before work hmm. Other than that, I got a new CD and free lipgloss from Victorias Secret! :woohoo:

Crystal, my husband's daughter went on a blind date 16 years ago. She said he was nice, but basically no sparks. She didn't want to go out with him again, but her friend who had fixed them up talked her into giving it another try, so she did.

I'm sure you know where this is going, lol. They were married three years later, and today they have two sons and a beautiful home. It might be a good idea to give it another shot. You never know. :)

OMG!!!, I did not see the morning, I actually slept till one this afternoon..why?
Because, last night, I had way too much to drink, and boy to I pay for it..I woke up with one of the worst hangovers of my life; pounding headache, etc.
Can you say, Tara ,the teetotaler!
 Sorry to hear abt the hangover. Chill, relax and take some aspirin...and drink lots of fluids.

I went to the Pt. Mugu Air Show. It's only 10 minutes away and you can actually see the air show from our house, but we wanted to take our son. It was his first time. Fabulous weather and lots of fun.;)

 Yeah I totally see what you mean. Well I def. wouldnt mind hanging out with him again, but I dont want to lead him on if I really dont feel anything for him. I was quiet throughout most of the time so I hope he doesnt think I hated it or anything, because it was a nice trip out on the coast of Maine. If it doesnt work out, theres nothing wrong with being just friends tho :)

Well this morning I went into work I stayed there for about 4 hrs, I left at 12. Then this afternoon my husband and I went car shopping for me. After that we went out to eat and back home. Tomorrow it's church, after church I'm going to take my daughters to a friends studio to have their Easter pictures taken. So that's about my whole weekend.....Boring I know

Hmmm..... I know how you feel!! That happened to me with a co-worker's best friend this past November. He was a nice guy and all, but I just didn't feel the same way about him as he did about me. The only difference is that I didn't even give him another chance. Yeah....it's awkward when there are no sparks and having to gently let the other person down.

Happy Sunday! It's sunny and going to be almost 60 degrees, so I think we'll go for a long walk. Well, long for us, lol. I was planning on cooking steaks, so I think we'll fire up the grill. Today is my last Red Sox free day of the season, so I'd better take advantage of it.

God morgon på Sondag!! Good morning on this Sunday!!

Yesterday evening and night was quite eventful. I told an aunt who was hosting a visiting cousin to let me know if they're going to do anything or just hangout or whatnot. I wanted to join them. I hadn't heard back from my aunt, so I figured they didn't have any plans. I checked out that dance place I talked about yesterday, but it turns out to have been some Cuban dance group conference, and they invited me to look at their pics and their movie trailer! So, they got my name and email address for further info. Haha...meant to be, I guess.

After that, my aunt called inviting me for a late dinner and movie hangout at her house. When I went to pick up a 12-pack of sodas, I found a $10 bill in the bill change area of a self-checkout stand! I had to look twice to make sure it was for real! The most I had ever found in the States was a $1 bill and 20:- (Swedish crowns equivalent to about $2.50 USD), so I was in disbelief! As the cashier approached me to ask if I had scanned my Albertsons value card, I was hoping she wouldn't see the $10. I know, I am greedy! She didn't. Then, she went away and helped someone else, so as the kiosk asked me what method to pay, I grabbed the $10 and selected "Cash." Wow!! I can't believe the luck of finding that! It was meant to be for me. Hahahahaha!

We ended up watching The Pursuit of Happyness (great movie, by the way!) and half of Happy Feet. I got back at around 12:30 a.m., but I ended up surfing online for about another 30-40 minutes before going to sleep.

Hey, everyone :)

I might head down to the track for a little bit to get some walking (better charge up my ipod now). I want to get there before it rains. Afterwards, I'll probably pick up lunch and see if my friend wants to hang out :) Nothing too major planned for today.

Sundays are very boring...I seem to do more during the week than weekends. Actually, I might head down to the stores to see if I can pick up a pair of shoes...mine are getting rather tired.

Another weekend gone. I'd rate this weekend a 7. It would have been higher, but I wasn't feeling well today.

How would you rate your weekend?

swedeace
04-01-2007, 10:27 PM
Gonna have to say a 7. It was about a 9 on Friday and yesterday because I hung out with family and friends. Today I didn't do a damn thing but clean, surf online, and walk two miles around the track. This is the second April Fools' Day in a row where I didn't get out much.

I would rate mine a 8, only because I finally got my birthday present from my husband. Other than that it was a pretty boring weekend.

An 8.

Yesterday I was able to get in the yard and do some major yard work in the morning. (I like the result of doing it, not the actual doing of it!). But the weather was good and I took advantage of it. In the afternoon Saturday just lazed around. At night, we rented Blood Diamond on DVD. Some disturbing violence in it, but an excellent movie, one of the better ones I've seen in a while. Di Caprio was great in it.

Today I overslept and went to the later service at church for Palm Sunday, and saw a lot of people I don't normally get to see or chat with, so it was good.

All in all a fairly 'low-key' weekend. But that's ok with me.

I loved that movie too. DiCaprio is a fantastic actor. He started out young, and he's going to be entertaining us, God willing, for decades to come.

I give my weekend an 7. The Gaf was fun this weekend, not very crowded on Saturday night so working the door was easy money.
I got to spend some time with my ladyfriend on Friday night, and although I didn't see her the rest of the weekend becasue she had a cold, we did talk over the weekend and we are having dinner on Friday.

So i have that going for me, which is nice.

;)
