Jay also played the DJ in the "Do The Carmine" episode from the final season where Carmine becomes a sensation. I'm not always a fan of when sitcoms turn serious, but this episode was really well-acted, etc. I remember when i saw that episode during it's first run when i was a kid. It totally threw me for a loop that they killed off a character in a comedy show. It was a powerful ep, but i found it really disturbing at the time. It's too bad they didn't have her on the show more often. santaburger 05-19-2007, 07:55 PM Yes, Carol as Rosie was great... she seemed to be around a lot in season 2, but it's too bad that she stopped coming by in later seasons... Also, while I wasn't a huge fan of the episode itself, I thought that Carrie Fisher was good in the California episode that had her and Laverne dressing up as playboy bunnies. Vicki Lawrence's original appearance as Sgt. Plout also was great, IMO. AB 05-20-2007, 11:15 AM There was also an episode where Peter Noone of Hermans Hermits played a rock star called London. Him & another fellow invited the girls to a big Hollywood party. Guest star wise, Penny Marshall called in a lot of favors in the last few years of the show! Carrie was so beautiful in that episode! Hugh Hefner was a guest in that one as well. I also watched the Charles Grodin episode recently. Not bad at all, but not really noteworthy either I guess. |
