View Full Version : Anything wrong with men having a MAN PURSE? lol TVFactFan 03-06-2007, 07:05 PM I jusrt heard some a$$hole on ESPN say it's DORKY for a guy to have a Man Purse. I have no problem with it, where else would I put my lunch, newspapers. and work stuff?-lol Mr. Stefani 03-06-2007, 07:11 PM I jusrt heard some a$$hole on ESPN say it's DORKY for a guy to have a Man Purse. I have no problem with it, where else would I put my lunch, newspapers. and work stuff?-lol If its like a backpack or brief case i dont see the problem but if its something that looks like a purse i think it's weird TVFactFan 03-06-2007, 07:16 PM If its like a backpack or brief case i dont see the problem but if its something that looks like a purse i think it's weird Well it really doesn't look like a purse because the strap is LONGER than it is on a women's purse. So the Man purse hangs a lot lower than a women's purse catlover79 03-06-2007, 07:30 PM That reminds me of the episode of Coach where Hayden was given his own primetime coach's show. The producers gave him a (woman's) purse. Hayden said, "Does this make me look...confused?" Later in the ep, Hayden and Luther are looking in the dark cabin for Christine. Luther: She couldn't have gone very far, she left her purse. Hayden: That's not hers, that's mine!! To answer your question, Solomon, I don't see anything wrong with it. For Christmas, my company gave all of us the large tote-like bags with the long shoulder straps. Why shouldn't guys be allowed to use them?? AB 03-06-2007, 07:43 PM My husband carries a huge metal lunch box to work, I can't see him packing around a man purse. TVFactFan 03-06-2007, 07:57 PM My husband carries a huge metal lunch box to work, I can't see him packing around a man purse. I think it depends on the type of work he does, if he is a construction worker then I couldn't see him with a Man purse but if he worked in a Office Setting then yeah it's likely he would have a man purse AB 03-06-2007, 08:10 PM Very True, he works in a factory where there are mostly men, so it wouldn't go over too well. And he's 6ft 4in and muscular, so he would really look funny packing around a mans purse. Some of us women just don't like feminine purses, because they're usually really small and designed to hold makeup & yer checkbook wallet, at max. I have a really large bag... I wouldn't call it a purse. It's more like a purse attempt to be a messenger bag. It's sort of the same idea as this one (http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=br_1_5/601-7112374-5657708?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000ITFDZ0), only no pockets on the sides and no hook on it. I don't speak, I use sign language so I need to be able to have both hands free AND my bag [purse?] out of the way in order to speak. Plus I carry around necessities that are too large for a regular feminine purse... you would NEVER catch me dead with a clutch. EVER. lol Ya know, just saying. ;) This thread is making me want to go buy a new bag now, lol.
